My Notebook is an Positivo Mobile
In the Manual of Positivo appears motheboard model : M74xSG of Clevo.... and appears that supports 4gb max memory DDR2
But, my notebook only read 2gb max memory.
(In the Everest Ultimate Edition appears that motheboard supports 4GB.)
Does have bios update to my motheboard? Is necessary? The date of my bios is 29/09/2009
Thanks and Grateful -

thanks for your fast response. its a go 7300.

The last BIOS for the M670SU with a Go 7300 motherboard is the 1.00.03a :
ftp://usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/M6xSU/M6SU_03a.zip
But you have to update the KBC/EC firmware (the one in my last post 1.00.02) before updating the BIOS. -

Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
It's probably just recognizes the proper name of the newer CPU's correctly now. Everything since 1.00.10 seem to be the same in practical terms. Nothing special, typical minor update, Soviet tested and approved.
-
Updated initial post with new BIOS for the X8100 and W880CU (thanx to pkhetan ) and W870CU and W860CU.
-
-
I think only a reseller could tell us that. There is a high risk that one will brick his laptop trying that.

What so special with the W88 bios ?

What's wrong with the thread title lol
-
That is a bit of a random title change...
-
HAhahaha, what have they done to this thread?

Since this seems to be the place where all the BIOS gurus are, here's my question.
I just got my new W880CU with a GTX480M. Now reading on forums, the W870CU being slightly older, I saw that amazing things have been done on it such as HT enable/disable options, overclocking etc. I currently have the OEM 1.00.03 BIOS and .02 EC and I'm wondering if any of those customized BIOS are available for the W880CU. I'm not willing to try putting a W870CU BIOS on it since it might kill support for my GTX480M and I wouldn't be able to do anything with it until I get an HD5870 or GTX280/285M in it. I also have an i7-940XM so I could make use of any "extreme only" features. -
if you want to overclock then google 'ThrottleStop'
-
Im going to update my bios for M570TU, i download the ISO file which looks like a zip file to me, how do i get it onto a disk so it boots?
Tried extracting the download file onto a disk and putting the downloaded file straight onto a disk, none boot.
EDIT : Nm, i think i have it. Right clicked the file inside the file that i extracted from the downloaded file and selected 'burn iso to disk' -
Sorry for double post but...You might want to amend this bit
1. Burn the ISO to a CD.
2. Now restart and boot from the CD/DVD.
3. put the disk in the drive and let it do its thing.
4. After it has run once press ctrl C to stop it running again.
5. Remove the disk and reset computer.
It also changed the KBC/FC to v.1.00.11S, is was 1.00.12 before is that good? -
Thanx Bushmins, but this depends on what BIOS version you got. Sager versions are automatic and you don't need tot do anything, just like you said. Unbranded Clevo ones need more attention though and I made the guide for Clevo versions. Anyway, I will try to make some time and add instruction for Sager BIOS.
That being said, no, that's not good. You basically reverted your EC/KBC to version 11 from version 12. The "S" at the end indicates that you now have a branded sager version of EC/KBC release 11. -
EDIT. nm, i think i found the iso from else where in this forum. Will give it ago. -
OK. Seem to have done it.
Have BIOS v. 1.00.19 and KBC/EC 1.00.12
Phew. -
Alexrose1uk Music, Media, Game
If anyone notices a .12/higher (not the current .11/.11oc) bios update for the X8100, and especially a change log, please PM me. The current BIOS allow 5870ms in crossfire to be used with the machine, but they haven't worked all the kinks out yet, and Clevo dearly need to get a BIOS update out to rectify the issues.
-
On the M570RU, do I need the .12aSL version of the BIOS in order to control the fan speed? I have the plain .12 from clevo flashed and when I try Fn + 1 or Fn + 3, etc... it doesn't seem to do anything. What does aSL stand for?
-
Unfortunately I don't know. But it shouldn't hurt to try and find out.
