What is the latest BIOS for Clevo M7X0SU based notebook ?
It has SIS671 chipset and Nvidia 9300M GS graphic onboard.
Currently installed bios 1.00.11 and KB/EC 1.00.16.
Serial number NKM765SU8J.....
I saw on ftp://usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/M7xxSU/
Bios in ver.12 and KB/EC in ver.18.
Is there any change log available ?

Indeed, there is EC firmware 1.00.11 for W86xCU/-3D
released on 2010/10/29 which Solve “under clone mode the GTX 460M/470M VGA cause screen flashes symptom after pressing Silent key” issue.

Yes, i know it means the Motherboard! But why?? Is there a new Motherboard Revision for the X7200 out??

 

To solve the power issue?!

 

Could be, I know some of them were having power issues. Could be possible they've tweaked the power regulation section of the mobo/changed to a slightly more frugal board to try and help prevent the issue.

 

I already installed the new EC (.11) for W860CU and the WEI still persists. Is it possible to directly email Clevo and tell them about this?

I wish to install Windows 7 on the Clevo W765S model thus I need the BIOS update. The laptop PC is not mine and as far as I know the only BIOS that are installed on it are the ones that were already installed when it was bought with Windows Vista on it.
I would really appreciate it if you could post me the link to those BIOS.

P.S. I saw that in previous pages you posted the BIOS updates for W76x models but not the S series. If though they are compatible I would be happy to know that.

I noticed the W870cu had a bios update, which made it remember the Bluetooth Radio state.

I hoped the W880cu got the same addition, but upgrading to EC 1.02 en Bios 1.05, it still doesnt remember the Bluetooth state. And now I still need to manually initiate the bluetooth signal when starting...

Anyone had luck, with enabling this ? Simply flashing a W870cu bios to a W880cu doesnt seem that good idea.

Be VERY careful with what you do with these files. Always ensure that the KBC/EC (H8 firmware) is newer/the same release time as the BIOS or your laptop might not boot. If you want the changelog or description of the other files, you'll need to wait for/ask pkhetan.

You may need to use a non-IE browser (firefox/chrome/etc) to view the files.

I'm hoping there will be a support for the upcoming AMD Radeon cards and the 4XXM GTX cards on the D900F.

 

Burn the iso to a cd (using Nero/imgburn/etc) then put it in the drive, boot from it and follow on-screen instructions

 

You have to tell whether it's an M740SU, M760SU or M770SU.
Look at the bottom of the laptop and report the first 8 digits of the serial number.

 

Has anyone tired this yet? What brand does it show on the start up splash screen.
