The manufacturer is CCE, but I'm pretty sure they rebrand it like others do with Clevos. Another owner told me it might be a clevo, but I'm not sure, could you please help me figure it out? Thank you.

The .11 is unlocked in terms of you can add up to an additional x4 multiplier if you have an extreme edition CPU. There are no other overclocking controls beyond that.

.13 with .08KBC is the latest at the moment AFAIK.

I really need to upgrade the first post of this thread.

So basically what are the newest BIOS versions for the

    W860CU
    W880CU
    W870CU
    X7200
    X8100

    I think that's about it.
You don't have to reply for all of them, just the ones you know so I can search them easier through the thread.

I have install the 1.00.11oc but when i select x4 overclock in advanced bios, my cpu go down to 133x15= 2000!!! Why???

If i disable extreme mode and overclock from bios, the cpu return to 2/2,7ghz with hypertreading!

There is another bios version for X8100 that enable the overclock?

OK, first you have the Portuguese version of BIOS/EC, and I'm not sure if updating your machine to the standard version is a good idea (especially the EC firmware). I advice you to contact Positivo Company in Brazil, they rebrand Clevo's.
If you still need the last standard BIOS/EC, here are they :
ftp://usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/M54xSR/54SR1206.zip take only the EC (1.00.06) from here , for the BIOS take it from this link :
    ftp://usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/M54xSR/M54SR_13.zip (BIOS 1.00.13)

Beauty thanks again, forgive me my ignorance but I pause a break in the boot and saw the version of "KBC / EC Firmware Revision: 1.00.06B, " you think it would be possible to change only the bios that seems to be its most current than mine, because I changed cpu was once an "Intel Dual Core"to "Intel Core2Duo 7300. And once in it always start 15 minutes after it restarts and i have only system stability W7 what do you think?
Now, thanks again and have a great new year you and your family and all of this wonderful forum!!! :notworthy:

Sometimes (but not always), updating BIOS without updating EC makes some problems. So if you want to update only BIOS you will take the risk. You should calculate the risk against the necessity and then decide what to take.

It's possible have the download link of this version of X8100 (1.00.13)?

I uninstalled because in my opinion did not monitor the temperatures well.
It 'possible that the version 1:00:13 creates this problem?

is it means that BIOS can older than EC but cant later than EC?
so if a very old BIOS can work good with a very new EC?

Some new functions will be available only if you update the 2 together.
The recommended order of updating is EC first then BIOS, to avoid some possible occasional damage to the machine. (i.e. in some cases if you install new BIOS on an old EC, the machine will not recognize the new BIOS and possibly will not boot at all, so you would not be able to update the EC to resolve your problem)

So answering your question : It depends on what BIOS, EC and laptop you are talking about. Every specific case will have specific compatibility.

I guess for most of the models in the initial post these might be the last BIOS updates.

Hi, i´ll post the final report.

At the end, i didn´t see any chance to rebuild the laptop-BIOS. There were definitly two incompatible versions of EC and BIOS on my Clevo M760SU.

By chance i found the site BIOS Kompendium © - Startseite with a real specialist, Mr Eckart "Hecki" Prause. I contacted Hecki, described my problem and sent the laptop with the BIOS-Files to him. Hecki desoldered the BIOS-Chip, reflashed the former BIOS Version 07, resoldered the chip and the laptop was running again.

The repair was affordable (30 EUR excl. shipping) and i had my laptop back after 5 days.

    hey folks,
I have a few quick questions I'm sure someone here knows the answer to. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm currently running BIOS 1.01.08E with KBC/EC 1.00.08 on my m860tu. I am planning on upgrading my OS from Windows Vista Business (32bit) to Windows 7 Pro (63bit).

    1) I noticed that the latest BIOS release for my laptop (0.17) "Added Windows 7 Support"... what does that mean? Do I need to upgrade my BIOS to run Win 7?

    2) What does the suffix " E" in my BIOS version mean? I bought my laptop from Eurocom if that means anything. I just can't find "1.01.08 E" anywhere.

    3) My KBD/EC version is 1.00.08. Does this mean I can update straight to the latest BIOS and KBC/EC version or do I have to upgrade step-wise through each version?

    Thanks again for any help!

    1. Safer and better to have latest version of bios, especially when talking for OS support.

    2. That may just mean Eurocom version of this release.

    3. Bioses are back compatible, meaning that any new bios version icludes all previous fixes.
Just becareful. You always need to flash latest EC and then latest bios. Otherwise you will brick your bios=dead motherboard.

For the EC, does that need to be installed step-wise (i.e. installing previous releases in order), or can I just install the latest release and then the latest BIOS?
