    If anyone wants the Sager BIOS V 1.00.11bLS3 and EC V 1.00.07sa1 for NP8130/NP8150 P15xHx in USB format let me know.

    And as per the warning, it's not for Clevo branded laptops, only Sager period or you will get bricked.

    Thread is a bit too long, and I haven't found any info in the last few pages.

    I contacted my provider, who again contacted clevo about my W150HRM and VT-X. I got this reply quoted from clevo:
    "We will release new BIOS version 1.00.08 to support VT function."

    Guys, I have received the latest bios from my 8150 Sager but I have a dilemma:

    the instructions on the first page of this thread says I should flash the EC firmware first and than the BIOS.

    Now the guy from Sager who sent me the Bios files says I should burn the BIOS first and than the EC.

    What should I do? :)

    I always appreciate your bios and EC releases in easy to use packages (disc or USB).

    I am on BIOS 1.01.07LS1 and EC 1.00.05SA1 right now. Should I bother changing?

    I'm not entirely sure what the complete changelog is from 07 to 11 other than 11 has Geforce 500 series support, Sager started with 06 (with EC 02) after the sandy bridge recall and had the 07 you're on then an 08 (EC 05) release prior to 11 (EC 07)

    Right now I'm on bios 1.01.08LS1 and EC 1.00.07sa1, I'll be updating my bios after I finish my current workload.

    I'll put the updates up to download with a big disclaimer for non-Sager users.

    I used to also post links to the latest Sager BIOS in the first post. But I can only do that if users help me out.
    For a while Sager released its BIOS long after CLEVO released its version, so at that point I've stopped posting about Sager BIOS. I could start that again, but it is likely that for the next models, history will repeat itself ... and again Sager will release its BIOS after CLEVO.

    It is only now and for the first time, that there is a problem with switching from a CLEVO Bios to a Sager one.

    I am not trying to say not to make a new thread, but I think its better if things are kept together in one thread.

    If you want help with adding Sager bios files I can help with the NP8130/8150 files in USB and bootable ISO format, if anyone with differing models wants to send me their bootable ISO updates requested from Sager support I can turn those into USB format too.

    I have downloaded it and looked at it. I wonder, because Clevo said it comes in the middle of June. This BIOS was created on 31. May 2011.

    If someone want to download it here it is:
    W1x0HRx.zip ( for those, who won't register in the Chinese forum )
    I have it not tested yet, because i don't know if it works.
    So if you install it, it is at your own risk!

    If someone can test it, it would be nice :). Screenshots on the Chinese Forum shows the BIOS and that the vt is enabled. But I cant read the posts, because I can't Chinese. Google translate sucks :)

    //Edit:
    I've tested it now. The BIOS version is 1.01.04 and VT is enabled.

    I couldn't flash the BIOS! I followed all the steps and the last step was update.bat but I got a bad command message.

    Flash.bat not update.bat. Idk why it is renamed to Flash.bat, but both contains the same command and same parameters ( except the BIOS-Version). I've only downloaded it from the Chinese forum and Uploaded it as 1 zip file to mediafire.

    And if you copy the folder on a USB stick you have first to switch to the folder:
    cd w1x0HRx and then flash.bat . Or you copy only the files in the folder, then you only must type flash.bat.

    The BIOS linked above is not going to work on your machine. The W1x0HRx is the Sager NP5165.

    Mhh this i don't know. But if it is similar then you have in your downloaded files a file called xxx.bat. The xxx is a name like flash or update. This file you have to execute to flash your BIOS ( using a DOS-System; not on Windows directly ).
    Else i don't know.

    The file that I downloaded is an ISO file. I was trying to flash the BIOS by using the USB stick but I failed to flash it because I got a bad command when I entered update.bat

    Have you copied the ISO as file on the USB-Stick or have you extracted the files to the USB stick.

    The first one is wrong. You have to extract it. You also must have a bootable DOS-System on the USB-Stick.
    You can extract it with programs like 7zip or something else.

    If you have it extracted then I don't know.

    Did you not read what I posted a little while ago? The BIOS in question will not work on your notebook. It's from a completely different model.

    @satur

    I think he has a other BIOS. Not the bios from me / the Chinese Forum. This is not a ISO-file.

    @Mechanic
    Then i don't know. You can try to write dir. Then you see all files. Then look if there is a file with the file-extension ".bat". This may be the file which you have to execute.

    Thank god that this has finally come out, even if not through the right channels. Just goes to show how hopeless some suppliers/providers are...

    Tested and works, great stuff.

    Updated the initial post with BIOS and EC for the x7200 and P170HMR. I think those were the only ones which got an update lately.

    Sorry for these long delays, but I've been very busy in the past months.

    Hi,
    Do you know if there is a bios update for a clevo W251HUQ (bios reports W240HU/W250HU) with VT-x support?
    If not yet, is there a way to monitor updates by myself.

    Thanks for your valuable help!
