    The bios on these new clevo machines is ami aptio, clevo licenses it from ami, like the other computer companies do for ami, phoenix, insyde, all bios makers etc.


    The current gen clevo bios = aptio 4.x.

    I have the P170HM3 (3D version with gtx580m) with revision:

    Bios: 1.01.02f (yes, looks like this not listed in this thread)
    KBC/EC: 1.00.05

    I was wondering if anyone can get hold of a XTU version of that bios?

    I would love to see this as well since I just found out my p170hm3 with 2920xm that was ordered won't be able to be overclocked with the current bios.

    Why need it ??? when doing so the fan is set to max. speed and i will never use it. I keep it @ automatic while playing a game.

    Well, my fan never seems to run at Max speed until I reach ridiculous temps like 95C degree. I think this is a problem.

    I have read somewhere in this topic that if you flash the bios it will reboot automaticly ??? because in the past when i flashed a bios with the cmd files from clevo my laptop shutdown and did not reboot automatic.

    So what is correct ?? shutdown or reboot ?

    I have a Clevo W150HRM from clevo.fr and it's actual BIOS is 1.01.02. Can I update directly to 1.01.05 ?

    Do you have the change log between 1.02-1.03, 1.03-1.04 and 1.04-1.05 ?

    I was expecting this to happen sooner or later.

    No worries, I have some other means of getting the latest BIOS for some of Clevo's laptops but they are not as reliable.

    What a shame! You were the only one that helped me with my BIOS issues.
    Virtualisation locked at BIOS level, users unable to check for new versions and clevo disabling access of those who are realy useful to customers.
    Something tells me this is the first and the last clevo notebook I buy...
    I hope things will come back to how it was a couple of days ago for you.

    Does anyone have a bios update for the Clevo D47v/D480v ???
    I would like to replace my cpu but the bios dosen't recognize the new cpu because the cpu is newer than the bios.

    @asmoballlz: This is a too old computer (2004)... I doubt there is a recent BIOS...

    Sorry for insisting but if someone can answer to me: Can I flash my acutal BIOS v.02 with a v.05 BIOS (Clevo w150HRM) ? Or do I need to update to V.03 and v.04 like for SSDs ?

    If there is no newer EC/KBC you should be able to flash straight to version .05 .

    at the moment it has a 2002 bios.
