    I have some trouble with my new Clevo W270HUQ laptop (problem the same like mubay's problem posted earlier, post #1847). BSOD is appearing when i'm trying to activate (by loader) the windows 7 ultimate. Before activation all working very stable and very good at all. After some BSOD's i decide to update the BIOS. But the main site of developer (clevo) does not have any bios update. I looking for bios updates on many russians and foreign forums and totally i have a nothing...
    Good news: i found a some usefull link to download a Clevo BIOS
    Bad news: enter the site to downloading is restricted :)

    Brochure by modl

    Send me please a BIOS update to my laptop model (Clevo W270HUQ) if anybody have... Thanks!

    P.S. my BIOS revision is 1.01.01
    P.P.S my e-mail is [email protected]

    Hello countryman! I have the same issue and I already updated BIOS to 1.01.04 version. Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem :( It still says that the BIOS is not fully ACPI comliant.

    I didn't ask 'em. But I think they don't know what to do too. :rolleyes:
    BTW do you know what version of ACPI is supported by this BIOS (1.01.04)?

    UPD: I solved the problem. The sequence I used:

    1. Advanced mode
    2. Advanced Mode->Key & Certificates->Key: OEM:SLP(OEM) Key->Install
    3. Advanced Mode->Key & Certificates->Certificate->Install
    4. Advanced Mode->Boot Loader->Install (I selected WOW7)
    5. Reboot

    If successfully booted, then
    6. Advanced Mode->Boot Loader->Emulation: UnSafe->Install
    7. Reboot

    Hey Guys,

    On the P150HM BIOS can you put in the changelog for 1.01.14

    Solve “CMOS Boot Sequence can’t show some USB3.0 devices” issue.

    Thats what it does =)

    I don't think we can help you here unless someone has already posted a link to the latest BIOS. So use the search function on this forum.

    You should contact your reseller.

    Hi all,

    First post and critical one at that.

    Just received my Clevo P170HM and it came with the ec 1.00.08 and bios version 1.01.08TLO.

    Had serious fan issues at idle and nothing working in the background in Win 7 64. Would rapidly go up to max for a 10sec and throttle up with unbearable noise. This was getting too much...especially in a quiet room.

    What did I do?
    Tried everything software wise.. nothing worked..
    Then read on here about flashing the EC and BIOS. Found that EC versions before 08 were great and had not many issues with fan noise.

    So I just flashed my EC only to 1.00.06 and the fan on the CPU which was the problem now hardly makes any noise. It has not increased to those wild speeds @idle as was present from the factory and EC version 1.00.08. This is one bad firmware version for this notebook.. I advise DO NOT use it...

    So if you are getting your Clevo P170HM and have intolerable fan noise (coming from left side rear --CPU area) then follow the links on the first page create a USB flashable bootup drive and install the EC 1.00.06 and viola problem fixed and no more loud CPU fan noises..... :)

    I hope this helps other new P170HM users.

    Tron2^

    PS- this is one awesome notebook... ran NBA12K on it full max no sweat. Lovin' in sweet as purchase...

    No, there is no way, you will have to send it back to your reseller and he will fix it. It shouldn't be very expensive as it doesn't require a whole motherboard change, just the BIOS chip.

    As was pointed out in the other thread, you may want to try resetting the CMOS battery before sending it back. If that doesn't work, the only option would be an RMA assuming it's truly bricked.

    hello friends ...
    I need to fix the language of the keyboard of my laptop clevo (positivo) in the bios, because my keyboard is portuguese-br and I updated the bios for the "EC" English. Can someone help me?
    my laptop is clevo V52.
    There is a button that is not working because of "EC en," is the key "/?".

    I think the correct term is "EC" accurate "EC pt-br".

    thanks

    It's up for a year now.. Now moving to a bigger server for another 1 year contract. As all my personal stuff & e-mails are on that server/domain (as well as the stuff of all my friends) I think that this will be up for a long time :p

    @edit: before that server I had a webspace for ~2 years already.. so actually I moved from the Webspace to smth bigger and now again to smth bigger (1TB HDD yay !)

    Hi,

    Having few questions and doubts. I have Mysn XMG U700 laptop. (X7200) I have flashed to the latest kizwan modified bios to get the overclocking functions. This is a modified Sager bios and works ok and I can overclock my laptop. Can I flash back to the latest original Clevo bios that can be found in the first post or will it brick my laptop? Can I flash to the latest EC/KBC V 1.00.08 and use the Kizwan modified bios?

    Also does this laptop with the latest kizwan (or original Clevo) bios support GTX560m? I currently have GTX460m and thinking of upgrading to SLI GTX560m.

    Thanks for the answers.

    You should be able to flash back to a Clevo BIOS without a problem.

    Have no idea about BIOS combinations, in fact no one knows. It's all up to you to try.

    For the 560M you would probably need a BIOS from June/May this year, a BIOS that was released after the 560M.

    @Blacky and Tirenz, thanks for the replies. Will go ahead and order two GTX560m from rjtech. Latest Kizwan is also the latest Sager bios so in that way it should support the 560m.
