The folder has no update.bat file. Without it I can not run the update.
And when I added update.bat file from EC_12, I receives (in DOS mode) an EC (EC_13) file error message.

Open update.bat from EC_12 in notepad, replace:
    Code:
    afudos ECP150HM.12 /E /X /shutdown
    With:
    Code:
    afudos ECP150HM.13 /E /X /shutdown
It was getting a file error because the EC files are named corresponding to version, the batch was looking for EC 12.

My 2720QM stepped from rev. 0x14 to rev. 0x23

It was just an hypothesis since I found a small change in ACPI tables. Please do not consider it too seriously.

I am the proud owner of a BTO 15CL18 (Clevo P150HM) with the GTX560M gpu for two weeks now. I also suffered from the GPU fan on/off issues while idle. It drove me crazy and I used this forum a lot to find a solution. I now have the latest BIOS P150HM.14 and ECP150HM.13. All these are working ok. But the most effect I got was using 6.05_nvidia_system_tools.exe and changing the profile. Setting a "quiet" profile with the lowest frequencies for "normal work"and using a "game" profile with standard frequencies for games. I also found "nvidiaInspector" to be useful for the same thing. With nvidiaInspector I found that there are three profiles (P0, P8 and P12) inside the GPU. For Quiet operation I use nvidiaInpector (or nvidia system tools) to set the profile P12 to the same values as P8. I am not able to alter the voltage of profile 12, it stays 1.0 Volt

The temperatures are now between 40 and 45 degrees and because the fan profile is more constant at the lower frequencies there is just a continuous hum. :D
I hope this information is useful for everyone who is annoyed by the on/off problem.

Ive upgraded my p150hm to latest bioses as well, and all is good.
I was scared initially because the update.bat command had the /shutdown switch, instead of reboot.

I sat down waiting for the laptop to reboot, didnt happened. Someone should really add this to the first post, it doesnt ALWAYS reboot on its own, if Shutdown switch is specified in the bat file.

Anyway even bios update.bat had the shutdown switch as well. You need just to turn on the laptop by yourself, all good. Fans are less loud and more smooth, indeed.

Ok, updated the first post. You have links to both Clevo and Sager BIOS files for the P150HM and the subsequent instructions for flashing them.

Don't forget to give Atmosk some rep for delivering us the Sager BIOS files.

Theres only two things you can change in nibitor for fans with any of these cards, min and max fan speed, default being 30% min / 100% max respectively so you won't be solving any surge issues with it.

Also you can already edit a 560M vbios in nibitor though it involves altering the device id to a card recognized by nibitor then reopening, changing back when done altering.

There isn't any special changes in the vbios that make it incompatible with nibitor's editing other than nibitor not having the device id on it's list, the 560M despite people calling it a GF116 chip is a GF106B (Really not debating this with people, don't believe me? Pry the firmware apart and look for yourself) with the firmware only really differing from the 460M by having a full voltage table like the GF104.

Fan settings in nibitor for these GPU's:

? The newer bios on first page has changed the fan tables on P150hm, ive flashed it yeasterday.
I can confirm the laptop is moooooore silent, the fans are more smooth in their operations, keeping the same behaviour in the time, raising only when needed.
Thats a huge step forward imho.

Also...why the hell this thread isnt stickyed?! This is very important!

Thank you for the Kingpinzero answer.

    The Sagar version is
    September BIOS 1.01.14
    September EC / KBC V 1.00.12
    Is it the same?

You have two things to flash.
The bios version from September (0.14) and the newer ec/kb on first page (version 0.13) just released, november 11.

You need to flash first the ec/kb and the bios in this order.
Other than that there's a pretty self explanatory guide in first page.

    And @Alex: thanks ;)

I own a Clevo p150HMx, but it is not a Sager. It is a BTO.

Can I use the Firmware EC_13 + Bios Bios_114 from the Sager upload in the first post (SAGER_815BIOS&EC_USB.rar) or should I use other files?

    Thanks in advance

What bios splash you got? If you get the stock/common StyleNote logo you can flash the machine with the non sager bios.
The sager bios in first page is for sager machines, if you look below there's the same bioses but for stock Clevos.

No, it should work automatically. Just run update.bat. If that doesn't work... you can try manually.

The thing is I run the update.bat but I always get that afudos command line and then it just stalls, nothing happens. What command line do I type in to shut it down manually? Or do I just hit the power button/ctrl+alt+delete?

When it's down, it's down. We can't do much about it.

That's why we host some of the BIOS files here as a back-up. It also helps release the burden from Clevo's servers.

Last time when the system got closed was because too many end-users were using a reseller only channel.
