Well it's listed as W24?HUx(?=0,1,2,5,6,8,A,B)/W25xHUx
When it's also labelled W2xxHUx.
Yet in my BIOS it says Model: W240HU/W250HUQ
Meaning that W2xxHUx is the generic model term for these numbers.
Thanks for Fast ReplyMore fast Replies would be Greatly Appreciated.

Here you go, once the ftp is back:
EC: 02:
ftp://usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/W243HUQ/EC_02.zip
BIOS 13:
ftp://usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/W243HUQ/BIOS_113.zip
These are the latest available. The 13 BIOS may contain a newer EC, too.
If so don't flash the EC 02 first.
Otherwise first EC then BIOS! -
It won't let me download anything from that link, this is part of my problem.
When will the ftp be back?
Thanks Again
-
Thankyou very much. the links aren´t working i will try again tomorrow.
-
Any updated bios/EC for M77xSUN and M76xSU??? tyvm !
-
PREMA!
I found these links on the Server which correctly match my BIOS specification
:
Index of ftp://usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/W2xxHUx
These are the download links to the correct upto date EC and 1.00.13:
ftp://usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/W2xxHUx/BIOS_113.zip
ftp://usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/W2xxHUx/EC_03.zip
They still DO NOT WORK though... When will I be able to download these Updates?
Thanks Again Anyway

Hi
Im having problems with bluescreen, errors etc. So I was thinking about updating my bios if there is an update?
I bought the machine from Deviltech, the hellmachine with i7 2760QM, 560sli etc.
Bios revision: 1.01.03
EC firmware: 1.00.05 -
Hi ;
Pls write to here; user name and pass of ftp ...
Thanks
Demet
-
Probably most likely is if you check my link which directs you to the ALLBIOS downloads section on one of CLEVO's servers. Problem is the ftp is down.
And no one is giving any indication as to when the ftp will be back up...
Which means that until then the whole thing is completely useless...
If anyone can give an insight into the ftp server going back online for downloading these updates. Please let me know.
Thanks Again
-
Usally it comes and goes during the day...
-
I am so sorry man, glad you found correct ones!
-
Hi,
I've found the link for my bios, I have a M761SUN
usftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/M7xxSUN
But it's not in the list of EC or BIOS versions, there's only the BIOS_04.zip. Which one(s) do I have to use?
Edit: but I can't download any of them it seems -
Thats because their server seems either Unpredictably Intermittant or Completely Useless or someones not telling us when it will be online for us to download our well sought after updates which rightfully belong to us!
-_-
Any News Would Be Greatly Appreciated
Thanks Again

Thought id share this info I have.
I purchased a new p180hm which arrived this week the bios is
1.01.02
ec 1.00.04
As the ftp servers are all down for clevo then there is no way to check if its the latest. However as the version numbers are greater than those posted on the first page for november 2011 then its possible it is the latest. -
How come, in the first post we have EC 1.00.05 and BIOS 1.00.03?
-
Unless there is something wrong with the version numbers but 1.01.xx should be later than any bios 1.00.xx
-
Clevo P170HM (NEW)
-Mobile Intel HM67 Express Chipset
-Intel i7-2860M
-NVIDIA GTX 580M 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
Now I have AMI BIOS 4.6.4 05/13/2011 SLIC 2.0
What about AMI BIOS 4.6.4 ? In the first post there is no mention of this version BIOS
I want reflash to BIOS 1.01.10 standalone. Is it possible?
P.S In BIOS 1.01.10 what SLIC ? 2.0 or 2.1 ?
Thanks
Serg -
That is the AMI controller version
For example mine states AMI 4.6.4 type 2.7
Get your actual bios and ec numbers from entering the setup when you boot. -
OK !
From entering the setup when I boot.
MB Series: P170HMx
BIOS Revision: 1.00.07aNS1
KBC/EC filmware Revision: 1.00.06SA2 -
Well according to the chart on the first page you would use the
ec 1.00.09 oct 2011 with the bios 1.01.10 september 2011
Seek advice from where you purchased the laptop to make sure you do not brick your laptop. -
Yes... Have updated to EC to 1.00.09 and BIOS to 1.01.10
-
Or a typo, unfortunately I can't check.
-
usftp.clevo.com.tw is back up. Looks like they was updating their ftp servers.
Login with username: anonymous no password required just leave it blank.
Also got news from Clevo themselves it is a typo on the first page for the p180hm bios
The november 2011
bios is 1.01.03 changes Supports UEFI
with ec 1.00.05 changes in initiation of LED timing.
Flash of both is only recommended should you require it or have issues with the system.
More information can be found here

Does the NP8130 support UEFI?
-
The info supplied to me above was from clevo-computer.de who sent me a screenshot from the e-channel which requires a login.
-
kevindd992002 Notebook Virtuoso
Does it apply for the NP8130? -
They only supplied me with the info for the p180hm/np1820
-
Can anyone help, I've been trying to download these BIOS updates for over a week and the server just cycles the connection attempt to download.
How can I download these exactly?
-
Try going direct to
usftp.clevo.com.tw enter anonymous as the user
Then try from there. -
Ok so i have a falcon north western and it has a clevo p150hmx but it is running american mega trends bios. can i still use the updates in this thread?
-
Thanks for the Reply
yet there are no BIOS updates in that directory.
I've seen that there are updates for my model yet I can not get them...
Thanks Again Anyway
-
Just checked and they are there.
Url to enter into the browser is just usftp.clevo.com.tw no ftp:// before it.
The rhino login screen will appear be patient sometimes a bit slow. Enter anonymous and login. It again takes awhile but a long list appears.
Scroll down to allbios click on that and again wait and then scroll to W2xxHUx
There was several bios zip/rar files there to download. -
And don't abuse it! Otherwise they might shut it down again.
-
I want to update my Clevo M761SUN laptop BIOS
so i think the only file I need from the M7xxSUN directory is the BIOS_04.zip file? or do I also need one of the other files? -
kevindd992002 Notebook Virtuoso
Is it possible to downgrade the BIOS of the P15HM1 board?
-
Please type a detailed changelog for bios v.13 of Clevo X7200
-
@Kevinddd I know it is possible to downgrade, I've seen people on this forum do it. But I can't say how safe it is.
@Kolich If I can write a detailed change-log I would, but sometimes I simply don't have that much information information. -
kevindd992002 Notebook Virtuoso
Hmmm. If so, how is the process? -
Logic would tell me that first you would need to downgrade the BIOS and then the EC/KBC. Other than that, I can only suggest searching the forum for posts where people say they've reverted to previous BIOS releases and ask them how they did it.

kevindd992002 Notebook Virtuoso
Ok. I'm experiencing RAM stability problems right now with my Kingston HyperX RAM 1600MHz Pnp 2x46 kit and 2670QM on a Sager NP8130. I already have a second kit of the same type and they experience the same. Would downgrading the BIOS (I have the latest) be a potential fix to this? Are there people that experience the same with the latest BIOS and EC/KBC?
-
how do those RAM stability problems manifestate themselves? have u tried using MemTest in order to verify that its really the ram modules and not maybe something else in ur system causing these issues? havent heard about any RAM instabilities being resolved by downgrading a BIOS, at least not in the P15xHM series....
cheers -
I don't think it will fix it. But it's worth a shot.
I also had stability issues with HyperX CL5, had to RMA 2 kits. Eventually I moved to CL6.
In my case, I would randomly get BSODs. -
kevindd992002 Notebook Virtuoso
Same as Blacky, I get BSODs but at very random times. And yes, I've used Memtest86+, HCI Design Memtest, and even Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. They all detect errors with these two kits. I guess it's just that HyperX are really pushed to the limits that most laptops can't handle and so are proven by these errors?
Ok. But that CL6 is also a HyperX kit? -
ha, guess what! i also experienced random freezes and BSODS with my laptop so these past few comments made me run memtest86+ and look at that: 81,100 detected errors inside one pass! i guess its time to check each of my 4 memory modules individually and then commence some serious RMA action
and here i always suspected either my SSD or GPU to be the culprit....
cheers -
kevindd992002 Notebook Virtuoso
Ahuh! That's most probably the RAM modules, yes. I have another 1333MHz HyperX kit and they pass all my tests without errors.
With the 1600MHz kits (two of them), I don't experience errors when testing them individually. It's just that when I use them at dual channel are there errors all over the place. -
oh, good to know about the dual channel!!! ah well, then ill just test all 4 modules in single AND dual channel, to make sure
cheers -
Ugh that sucks,
I just started getting random freezes and fear this will be my issue.
I have seen this in the past with random notebooks or desktops and it ends up being the system board. Almost like it can't handle the stress or amount of data on the memory channels and thus gives the errors during memtest which makes one think its memory but individual tests show otherwise.
I guess the other possibility (though still leaves it being the motherboard) is that the voltage is not right or stable when multiple high speed dimms and results in the same thing.
Makes me a lil sick to my stomic personally. I went through months without a laptop already dealing with warranty/rma issues and finally got a perfrect one (sager did right by me in the end) and now have to worry about a buggy system board.
Maybe I am wrong though and its a dimm, I will test my mem though and see what I find, I sure hope I am wrong lol -
kevindd992002 Notebook Virtuoso
I really think that it is not with the motherboard since I was experiencing also this kind of error with my old W860CU laptop but with the 1333MHz HyperX kit back then. I don't know for sure though. -
Well here is what makes me think MB.
Memory running in dual channel does not run any faster than single channel.
Dual channel is simply the MB having the ability to use both channels at same time but the memory is XX speed and XX time regardless of the number of channels.
The only thing that changes by going to dual channel is sometimes the times increase a bit (which if anything would help be more stable), sometimes voltages change a bit and the MB is now using both channels at the same time vs 1.
So I don't see how it could be the memory short of the voltage change and the memory being very sensitive to it (and we have no way to know on these laptops if that even is true as some it's not).
For example me going from 2x4GB to 4x4GB the only thing I can see is the command changes from 1 to 2 but timings stay the same so only other possibility is voltage or mb not being able to handle it. (assuming both kits/sets pass individually). -
kevindd992002 Notebook Virtuoso
Well, my desktop computer proves that using a single 2x2GB 1600MHz CL6 G. Skill Ripjaws X 1.5V kit can make the system run at those settings but when you use 2 kits (4x2GB) of the same kind, you need to loosen the timings to be able to boot the system. How do you explain that?
