Hi !
I have updated my mirror (thanks Prema for the reminder !). It seems that the following models were updated :
- A110EU
- P175EM1
- P370EM
- P570WM
- W110ER
- W130EV
- W1xxER
- W25CEW
- W25xBWQ
- W25xEZ
- W2xBLZ
- W2xCZ
- W2xEF
- W2xEG
- W2xxBUx
- W3xxET
- W5x0EU -
These are all just manuals right?
Edit: Nevermind, saw the other models' directory containing BIOS too, but in this case if you are going to add BIOS to P175EM1, you might want to seperate P150EM and P170EM, cross flashing doesn't brick but should still probably seperate it, just a suggestion. -
No, the EC is definitely different, and most likely the bios too. I have a BTO, what is basically a stock Clevo. The bios will be the same too, with the exception of the BTO logo.

i asked (notebookguru) no answer..
edit look on site mysn.de bios 170em and 150em -
Actually, I just copy the directory structure & files from Clevo, so I will not move some files, or change the directories… Sorry.
-
good job palkeo, much appreciated

That's too bad. Maybe let people know notebookguru customer support is lacking. I say ask your reseller since it's recommended you stick with the BIOS/EC provided by your reseller.
Post your experience in the Sager/Clevo reseller feedback forum. -
W110ER's on Bios 04 & EC03 now isn't it?? (I could be wrong so apologies in advance)
sorry I think this has been covered - I was just looking at the table in the OP
cheers & thanks for the useful resource
 -
That EC seems to be 1.00.07SA not 1.02.11SA (unless it's labelled incorrectly):
If it is the wrong version could someone please upload 1.02.11SA?Code:echo off echo. echo. echo *********************************************************** echo This is to update the system EC for model 9150 series echo. echo System Ec V 1.00.07SA echo. echo Please make sure you have the right model of computer. echo (If this system BIOS and firmware are applied to a non- echo NP9150 model, the computer may be non-operative.) echo. echo. echo Please make sure the computer is on AC power. echo. echo. echo Press any key to continue or press "Ctrl" + "C" to quit. echo. echo *********************************************************** pause AFUDOS ECP150EM.SA /e /x

Or you could just contact Sager and get the EC/BIOS.
-
Yeah, I was wondering the same when sager sent me the file, but once I flashed my machine I got 1.02.11SA KB/EC Revision with the swapped windows key.
I think Sager rushed to release this update and forgot to re-label it. Maybe others can share their files and compare to see if sager has updated it with the correct label.
This is a quote from the Sager support email that I've got with the 915ec07.zip file:
they never mentioned which EC update they were giving to me, yet they were talking about a "915ec07.iso" file. -
Cheers Roger, I thought that may be the case.

Hi,

Hi,
I just installed the latest P370EM EC and BIOS from palkeo's mirror.
That seemed to have worked out. I can boot my computer and configure UEFI/Secure Boot options. I already had Windows 8 and a Linux installation running in EFI mode under the previous bios. I am in UEFI mode but I have Secure boot off/in setup mode but Windows 8 crashes almost immediately after its boot loader is called and while I can run linux in recovery mode, it freezes at the login screen in normal mode. I suspect this has something to do with a vBIOS problem because in the BIOS setting, I can see detects the 680M (it shows under VGA card) it no longer shows any information about the vBIOS. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this please? Thank you. (Its the usual 680M SLI setup for a P370EM if that's relevant, rather than a single card) -
You need a new vBIOS for the 06 P370EMx update if you want to use secureboot (the old one is bugged)...ask your reseller for GTX680M vBIOS 80.04.67.00.01

Hi while trying to update EC for XMG P702 facing error (Problem allocating memory) from AMI Firmware Update Utility using Nero (Caldera DOS boot CD) while my EC and bios files are stored on NTFS disk.
Any solutions would be appreciated. -
Try flashing from usb:

Sorry, I'm Kalanry but my recovery mode Linux in Firefox doesn't appear to be trasmitting my password so I end up locked out (and I noticed I'd typoed my nick).
Unfortunately , its Saturday morning here and my reseller doesn't open over the weekend (or have an online downloads section), and I've got a more or less non-functional laptop, is there any chance you could point me to an alternative location to get that vBIOS ? Since I'm probably not going to be able to log in again given Firefox's issues, if you want to contact me privately my email is [email protected] -
Hey there,
I have tried updating my BIOS / EC on my Sager9150 to version 1.02.14LS1 / 1.02.11SA The EC updated fine but the BIOS apparently not. After the update it wouldn't reboot automatically but just go to the command prompt - no errors though. So I rebooted manually, pulled battery, unplugged the laptop, booted the laptop again and now the screen stays black.. the keyboard is lit and all the LED's are coming up and show life like during a normal boot - it's just that the screen stays black which is freaking me out a little
Is there anything I can try to see if I can get it back up and running - pulling the CMOS battery or is there a specific recovery key combo I could try?
I appreciate the help..
Thanks!
Update:
I went in blind and reflashed with a black screen trying version 10LS1..and it worked. Wow, what a scare but I have my laptop back now.
Edit:
..also sharing EC file with windows key on the right (original key placement) for 9150 v1.02.11sa
source is Sager but haven't tested myself because I switched key caps, so please try at own risk.

Hey guys.
I got a A722, now did a mistage: I flashed the EC-Bios with the EC-Bios for the P722. Now the A722 doesnt boot anymore, the screen keeps black. what can I do?
tnx for help -
Ok. I updated the initial post. Now everything should be there. I haven't added W370 and P370 to the initial post. If you think it's necessary I will try to add them as well.
Users that have access to 1.02.xx versions of EC and BIOS from Sager, please sent them to me, I would be very happy to add them to the initial post.
Thank youLast edited by a moderator: May 7, 2015 -

Hi guys,
Does anybody have the latest EC version of Sager NP9150? I downloaded the ISO file from Sager, but I have tried many softwares to extract it but none of them worked. Thanks a lot!
This is my file: 915ec07.zip -
You can use ultraiso to extract the boot sector of the file after you've mounted it.
-but if you check the post above yours, custom90gt has posted a link to the current one for the np9150. If you check my post above (#3071) there's a link to the same ec version but one that keeps the windows key on the right.. both of these are ready to be run from a bootable usb.. -
So have you tried this... ? Are they ok?
-
Is there any activity at all? LED's lighting up, HDD LED flashing like you're machine is booting into windows even if the screen stays black the whole time? You could try to flash it blind to correct ec if the laptop is actually booting..
-
There might be some bottleneck issues.

7970M + Trinity in 3DMark11 can't even break P4300. -
This makes me so sad. I knew AMD was slower... but not that slow!
-
Im currently on the 1.00.04 EC and BIOS on my Clevo P150EM. Can anybody with the 1.02.11 and 1.02.14 EC/BIOS tell me how the AMD 7970M fan behaves with that bios? I seem to remember reading somewhere that the fan did not provide enough cooling on that BIOS due to low RPM? Could anobody please elaborate?

Yes, I've been running them for almost a month now.Dannemand likes this. -
Thank you! I updated the EC without problems, but then I updated the BIOS and got the same problem as yours. Everything seems to be normal except the screen went black. Now I can't reflash my BIOS. Does any of you guys know how to fix this? Thanks so much!!!
-
This thread scares the crap out of me. Any reason Sager doesn't simply post the Bios on their support site? They have seemingly every other driver. All this "email me this" and "email me that" is a recipe for disaster. Get the wrong person to send you the wrong file and "poof" there goes your laptop. NO. THANKS.
-
This is why I don't post everything on the initial page. Whatever is up and running on the initial post of the thread is almost always tested and working so that users don't experience any problems.
As long as you follow the instructions there, you should be ok.
Have you tried the sager BIOS that was posted by custom90gt?
Or am I missing something? -
I know I grabbed mine from the link RogerCD posted in this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/416916-clevo-bios-thread-302.html#post8952171
same version though as the one posted by custom90gt
I should have posted a warning I guess..
@daydreamer90: I fixed mine by flashing this bios that I received from Sager support: Zippyshare.com - Sager9150_1.02.10LS1.zip
I'm running it now with the same (latest) ec version as yours on my Sager9150 so it's tested.
Extract the bios P150EM.LS1, afudos.exe and autoexec.bat files to the root folder of your bootable flash drive. If you don't want to overwrite the autoexec.bat on your usb flash drive than rename the one from the archive to anything e.g. flashme.bat.
Plug it into the USB2.0 port on the right, boot the laptop and hit F7 for the boot selection menu. Now it depends on how many drives you already have in your laptop, I have two SSDs and an HDD in mine so the USB would be entry number 4 in my case. First entry is already selected so I pressed the down arrow 3 times and hit "Enter".
If you use the autoexec.bat then just hit a key to start the flash procedure, if you renamed it, then type the name and hit enter.
The fans should spin up as they normally do and the laptop reboots itself, then shutsdown again.
As usual make sure you have both battery and psu plugged in - just in case.
Let us know how it goes.
Edit:
Just looking at your signature and noticing that you have one of the early 9150s with an SB CPU like I do.. maybe there is a difference to the later models?
Sager never offered me the 14.ls1, only 10.ls1 and 14b.ls3.. Maybe there's an incompatibility between the early SB models and this bios version.
anybody out there who has an early 9150 model and is running bios v1.02.14.LS1? -
Great, now I can make a link in the initial post with the Sager version for this.
-
My god!!! It worked. I was able to fix my laptop and it's working now. It's a little bit weird right now, but that's fine.
Thank you so much! You are a life saver!!! -
Glad to hear you have it back!! I know how you feel, I was freaked out too when that happened!
My laptop is having some minor glitches as well, like Bluetooth LED constantly on, I blame the ec version for the most part..Also my eSata/USB combo port flaked out yesterday for a moment but that could have been a Windows 8 driver issue..not sure.
What's your laptop doing when it's acting weird?
edit: @Blacky: You might want to use my file for your upload because in the original archive the afu303.exe doesn't work, my archive contains the regular afudos.exe and the matching autoexec..
-
My wireless card acted weird, I couldn't use Google or Wins Update. But then I restarted my laptop like 2 times and now it's good.
I was so happy when my screen turned on lol.
I thought the new BIOS would also solve my Hotkey issue, but it didn't -.- -
You can contact Sager Support for the latest BIOS, there is a newer version than the one that you've tried, version 1.02.14b.LS3. Maybe that fixes your Hotkey problem... unless you don't want to risk another BIOS update at all
-
Not true. Meaker's GX60 outperforms mine.
-
Hi everyone! I have just bought a new Clevo W251EUQ and was shocked to see I cant access any OC settings from the bios, so I figure maybe I need to update the bios? Can anyone help me with where I can find the corect Bios??
-
moral hazard Notebook Nobel Laureate
Upload your bios somewhere and give prema a link, he may be able to mod it for you.
-
Thanks Moral Hazard! Where can I find my bios to upload? really thankyou!
-
moral hazard Notebook Nobel Laureate
Well I'm not 100% sure on what is the best tool to dump your bios.
You may need to check with prema on what is the best tool to use.
Also email clevo or your reseller and ask for a bios update. That file could be then turned over to prema to mod. -
can you pm me a link to prema???
-
Hi Guys,
I believe the link to the latest Clevo Bios is actually pointing to the EC/EKB, find the correct link below.
P170EM Bios - 1.02.14
Always remember to flash the EC/EKB first!
Instructions -
Enter Dos
Run meset.exe
- system will coldboot
Enter Dos again
Run flashme.bat -
vuman can you explain to me, was that link for my systems bios? are you sure? just i heard that flashing wrong bios will brick the laptop,
do I need to download it to a certain location on my hard drive or put it on a usb? -
It is the link for the Clevo P170EM Stock System Bios; I flashed this last night with no issues.
The bios is not the Sager Bios.
I would recommend flashing via USB using DOS.
