No it doesn't. File is correct and so is the .bat file.
-
Yes it does. The .bat file has not been updated:
On a seperate note the BIOS is working fine with the previous EC v1.02.11.Code:echo off echo. echo. echo *********************************************************** echo This is to update the system BIOS for model NP9150 series echo. echo System BIOS V 1.02.14bLS1 echo. echo Please make sure you have the right model of computer. echo (If this system BIOS and firmware are applied to a non- echo NP9150 model, the computer may be non-operative.) echo. echo. echo Please make sure the computer is on AC power. echo. echo. echo Please run meset.exe. echo. echo Please do not turn off the computer. echo. echo After the computer is restarted, please run flashme.bat echo. echo ***********************************************************
-
That isn't the .bat you run anyway. It's flashme.bat and the naming scheme is all correct. So is the file.
-
Did I say it was the .bat you run?
It's the autoexec.bat which is intended to be displayed on boot to provide info and instructions to the user.
It's wrong simple as that. You always continue to argue. -
You just asked about bat. And the bat file is correct and so is the file included. Next time be more specific then, since the directions don't say to run autoexec.bat, but to run flashme.bat.
-
I didn't ask about anything.
And autoexec.bat is run automatically on bootup in a DOS environment (clue is in the name).
Also it's the only file which even mentions the specific version of BIOS that is included.
Thanks anyway. -
Doesn't run auto for me. But it installed right? Yup. The file must be correct and the bat that runs flashme.bat must have been correct.
You are welcome anyways. -
Hi,for P170EM is possible to force a downgrade BIOS 1.02.16 to BIOS 1.00.07
-
No its not due to the many changes, but I do have to ask.. Why would you want to do that?
-
Keys FN for disable or enable Wireless/Bluetoth/led keyboard dont work,it's work only with software Hotkey
Sorry for my english -
I wonder when Clevo decides it's time to fix the FN Wireless/Bluetooth and LED light.
-
Hoping for a fix, too. Have contacted Sager support about it and they said they'll look into it.. Does anybody know which EC version actually introduced this issue on the 150EM?
-
The 11, it's the Windows 8 UEFI update.
-
Don't forget the Low battery beep, can't be turned off and gets very annoying

Hi guys, I would like to update the Bios on my Clevo 150em - any direction on how to do so would be greatly appreciated!
-
All the BIOS include instructions, read them. That's it. And there are already tons of posts or you can just try and read the OP... You've been registered since 2010, should know this.

Hi everyone. I'm havin issues with a notebook that has a Clevo MB... same issue as everyone here... I'm unable to locate the correct bios upgrade .rom file. The motherboard I have is W25xHPx. CPU-Z tells me that the bios version is AMI 4.6.4, from 08/12/2011. Using the AFUWINGUI app from AMI's support page, I'm only able to save the content of the bios to a rom file, but I don't find (or I'm simply to stupid to locate it) the latest update for my notebook. Notebook model is Serioux W251HP, and the product code is W251HPQ. Can anyone, please, be so kind and enlighten me regarding the bios update rom for this model? Thanks for your help.

Thank you very much for your fast reply and help.

Hi all!
I' m new user of Clevo product,.ODM-manufactured notebook "DNS" W253EGQ. Can't found drivers and any nfo about W25xEGQ models on Clevo site. I'm contact ODM brand reseller, they tell me "this is new model". Hmm... My device's MFG date is February, 28.
Guys, who can acсess to Clevo's partner area, please tell me is this real Clevo product or fake (is this listed on Clevo's ftp?) and - please! - provide me a bios.
This is from AIDA64
Motherboard series: W250EGQ /W270EGQ
Bios AMI 4.6.5
This is from bios setup:
BIOS Version: 1.02.03TDC
KBC/EC firmware revision: 1.02.03
PS. Sorry my terrible English. -
Hello everyone! I've read all this thread. I've an old olibook m1030, with motherboard Clevo m1100. The past owner of this "crap" hardware thrown a beer on it. Damn! I disassembled it completely, polished & refurbished all the hardware. Th original hd was completely dead and replaced with an ssd 32 kingston (sv100s232G-1). It's alive! W7 installs correctly to test it. Now i'm trying to use a decent operative system on it and install the latest debian flavour distro. There are troubles with partman, dmesg displays several errors (ACPI error psparse-0537) and the installation hangs. I suspect a problem with the old bios ( bios revision: 1.00.05OL1 - KBC/EC Firmware Revision: 1.00.01 ). On the clevo ftp repository all bios and firmware newer files were deleted completely (404 error). I'm unable to find them on the net. Please help me to retreive the updated bios & firmware files for the clevo m1100 mb (mounted on olibook m1030), if possible. Thank u, so much!

So what BIOS should I upgrade on the initial page?

Zymphad
Premo
Thank you very much! Some questions about this BIOS. Size of main BIOS image from FTP - 6Mbytes. Before flashing I make backup with AFUDOS, but backup image is 4096 Kbytes. I'm confused.

2011 models 2MB BIOS and EC + 2MB ME
2012 models 4MB BIOS and EC + 2MB ME
Afudos dumps only BIOS chip FPT dumps BIOS & ME chips -
Thank u so much for your fast & professional answer, Prema! U R the Boss!
Now i try the files you suggested! -
delete me please
-
is it possible to upgrade the ME firmware on HM machines as well?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 -
@Zymphad THX for helping people, but please don't post my stuff elsewhere, reason one is that two filehoster kicked me out already because of too much traffic...reason two is that that ME can't just be flashed on any model...also during tests that 9.0.0.1310 driver once prevented my fans from spinning up at all and the system overheated, that's why I posted another version on my blog along with this ME. I hope you understand.
@jaybee83 Don't try to flash that ME on any HM model it will brick it...I will offer an ME update for HMs once I push the HM mods.
Speaking of mods, P-Series EM user who want to grab "it" early can check this little mod out.
-
amazing how u can keep up this kinda work
good job as always prema

Prema thanks for the awesome P150EM BIOS/EC mods!
-
Hey PREMA, anyway to change the BIOS image? Also would you want to take a look at the newer Sager BIOS for P150EM?
-
EC installed fine and working Ok so far on P150EM.
Only thing I'm not sure about is the boot logo - the Windows 8 loading animation has a black background so looks quite out of place overlayed on the logo.
Also is there any way of slowing the fan speeds when the machine is idle? My GPU fan sits at 2000rpm when the 680M isn't even being used. -
Let's please not spam this thread and keep all discussion regarding those P-EM mods over at the release thread...
-
But this is where most of the Clevo/Sager users are at, not at that other forum. Why not create a release thread at NBR?
-
Because it clashes with more than one of the forum-rules over here...
-
It does switch off, but there is a bug in BIOS/EC that prevents it from updating fan speed when GPU switched off.
So if it switches GPU off with fan still on (because its still warm), the fan speed will be kept forever until GPU switched on again and EC sees that the temp is low and updates fan speed to off.
You can easily see it if you go to NV control panel (where spinning logo is) - in most cases after GPU was on idle for a while, this will instantly switch the GPU fan completely off.
There was a thread about it - http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...completely-spin-down-after-gaming-p150em.html -
Thanks for the link but I don't think that's the problem.
I think the fan tables are just far too aggressive on this laptop.
The CPU fan is the same, it runs at far too high RPM for idle temps. -
It has nothing to do with fan tables (well, at least the fact that fan does not go off when dGPU switches off). Fan speed is not updated when dGPU is off, that's the problem.
Again, its perfectly reproduceable. You may have laptop sitting with GPU fan at minimum speed for hours, then launch NV Control panel, and fan instantly goes off, and stays off when you quit control panel.
Though I agree that minimal fan speed in somewhat high. Maybe it was done to prevent dust from settling inside cooling system, which happens at low airflow. -
Did you update your ME8 firmware and drivers too? I guess CPU is running a little faster, don't know, but my fan does turn off for GPU and CPU. CPU is only for short time, intermittent.
-
Do you have 7970M? AMD fixed this in latest drivers, so only NVidia is still affected.
