Hello, sorry for my english, I'm using a translator, recently bought this item: 2 Port Hidden Inside USB 3.0 USB3.0 to Expresscard Express Card 54 54mm Adapter Converter w/ DC Jack, ASMEDIA ASM1042-in Computer Cable Adapters from Computer & Networking on Aliexpress.com
Motherboard of my notebook: Clevo M540SR
Current BIOS: 1.00.13 (Clevo M540SR M54SR_13 MOD)
Problem: When the ExpressCard is inserted and turn on the notebook, nothing appears on the screen. In another notebook, it worked perfectly. Is there any BIOS that supports this Expresscard?

The latest bios for P15xSM 1.00.07 lowered the HD4600 core frequency from 600 to 400 MHz, will run some CPU tests to see if it makes any changes heat wise.
-
just flashed mine too, but GPU still stays at 600mhz and XTU still TDP Locked
i guess you flashed via the "flashme.bat" right? -
Yes, and TDP is still locked in XTU. But for now I'm happy with running the 4700QM with a -100mV undervolt, which makes the CPU a bit faster. 6.93 in Cinebench with normal voltage hitting 87C, and 7.00 with undervolt hitting only 81C, yay!
Edit: forget the 400MHz vs 600MHz. It turns out when I'm running Quiet mode it goes to 400 and Performance mode push it up to 600... -
How do you activate that quiet mode?

Trying to solve the problem above Expresscard, installed the BIOS 1.00.12, 1.00.06 EC, it did not, and now the key /?° is RCtrl, I do not know what this EC, but I think that's what changed key, as I returned to the BIOS 1.00.13 and continued as RCtrl. Could someone help me solve this? The keyboard of my notebook there is this: http://bimg2.mlstatic.com/teclado-positivo-z61_MLB-F-235894334_9935.jpg

From the clevo control center, "Fn+ESC" and there I choose which profile I want to use, very good program!

hello all,
i have 2 notebook clevo P150EM and clevo P150SM, and OMG i wrong flash the P150SM with bios from P150EM, and finnaly my P150SM totally dead black screen ,how to giveup again my P150SM or anyone have stock bios from P150SM?? somebody help me thxb4 -
just curious how is that even possible? there is actually a ROM ID Check, looks like you disabled it lol.
Here is a howto i just copied from Prema
-
thats is accidentional, must get off the CMOS first or can directlly flasing the bios.. im have some backup from P150SM on notebook other people
-
if i were you i would jump straight to Part 2: flashing actually cause a CMOS reset will definitely not help boot up a 150SM on a 150EM Bios
, just download the latest BIOS
from here e.g. and rename the Bios file
P15SM.06 to
P150SM017.rom
wish you good luck with that  -
I am working with Clevo P150SM laptops, currently shipping with the 1.00.06RNS1 Bios and 1.00.05 EC and 9.0.2.1345 ME versions. When I load bios defaults from the last screen of the BIOS, the screen gets a band of graphical corruption across the top half inch of the display and hardlocks. The one next to it loads defaults fine though. Has anyone else come across this? I'm checking for hardware issues... So far it's not memory, video, or CPU related..
Is there a newer version of the BIOS's that addresses this?
Edit: Board RMA'd, it was an isolated occurrence. -
how long i wait by pressing Fn + B key until i release?
-
Nobody knows how to solve these problems, or at least the key changed?
I think the key problem solve by placing the original EC that came with the notebook, right? If yes, could someone tell me where I find the version 1.00.05? Notebook: Positivo Z61 (Brazil) -
The solution to the key mapping is to flash the Brazilian EC version into the laptop. Unfortunately though, I have no information on where to find it, or any solution to your other problem.

I have the P151HM1 from Malibal and my computer hangs sometimes when I put it to sleep. I read somewhere that it might be a BIOS problem so I want to update it. No idea if I have Clevo or Sager bios, only thing I know is that it is 1.01.12 version from 4/12/11 . How can I update it?
-
Where i can find W150ERQ bios with unlocked fan speed control?
-
Unfortunately after trying to flash my bios with a Prema mod, I have been unable to boot and continue to see the boot manager not found error.
I have read all over the net, through the appropriate readmes, but am still at a loss.
I have also tried to access bios recovery but the use of fn+b does not work, the instructions given here have unfortunately not worked for me.
My system is a P150EM
p.s
I managed to boot into windows by changing the boot order from my primary ssd (os installed) to my secondary (no os)
Now I need to know if I can sort out this small issue.
Any advice would be much appreciated. -
You may have Win8 in installed in UEFI mode, if so you need to set the BIOS back to Win8 after flashing any BIOS...if you used RAID you need to re-enable RAID.

Hello guys, I am new to this forum and would be very glad if you guys could help me with my problem
I have a Hawkforce Clevo 150HM with core i7 2720m and 485m gtx. I bought the notebook used and the seller told me,as i saw also on the bill, that the notebook had a 6970m in it when it was ordered. So the previous owern had changed the 6970m to a 485m. I think a bios change or flash was necesarray therefore the get the 485m work but i am not sure about it.besides the card worked fine all the time, never had troubles.
the actual problem: yesterday, i pulled out the 485m to see if my 150HM was able to run with the iGPU,the hd 3000.
So i pulled the gpu softly out of the notebook and pressed the power button.Afterwards the notebook started to beep constantly in a 0.5s - 1s delay and the screen remained blank(black screen).
I found out that the 150HM is not able to use the iGPU and because of that i thought the notebook stays black,
Afterwards i put in the 485m gtx but the beep was there again and no picture.
So i took the CMOS battery out, which is located under the keyboard, let it a few min outside the notebook and put it back in then. The result is that the beeping is gone, the notebook starts completely normal, i even hear windows sound when bootin and other sounds which skype for example does when it starts but no picture.
Now my guess is that because i reset the CMOS, the notebook is reset to a bios which is configures for a 6970m,which was in the notebook at the beginning, when it was bought, and not for my 485m.
So my question is: what should i do next? should I load the BIOS from the clevo site for the 485m gtx and do a blind fliash?(because the screen stays black) via a usb stick, or should i update the EC too?
Any help would be highly appreciated,
Thanks! -
Does any1 happen to have a link to the latest P150Sm stock-bios ? I mean a one with no brand / logo.
-
All right, stupid question but pretty important.
I'm looking to update my Sager NP9150's BIOS. The version at the top on the first page says to "see below" for the EC/KBC. However the one below is Clevo, not Sager. And the one below that is a 1.00.x version instead of a 1.02.x version. Which one do I download? I'm leaning the Clevo one as that is 1.02.x, but I thought I'd ask before I go ahead and do that. -
I would like to backup my P370SM3 original bios before proceeding to flash the new PREMA mod bios as soon as it's ready.
Which utility can I use to safely backup my current bios? I heard about afuwin64 utility but cannot find it anywhere online.
Thank you.

luigi.lauro,
Would the amiflash utility provided by AMI contain the file you're looking for? The page is located at:
AMI | American Megatrends Inc. : AMIBIOS Support
Digging into the zip file, it seems to be located in amiflash -> Aptio -> AfuWin -> 64 -
Can someone tell me how to boot to dos on a clevo p150sm? nothing happens i have used 5 hours trying to make a bootable usb stick alot of different guides nothing works
-
Maybe you have uefi- boot enabled. Have you tried to boot with uefi disabled ?
-
I use a regular USB key that has been specially formated with what is call the " HP USB Boot" tool..
Format the USB Key with that, using the Windows 98 boot files supplied, then drop whatever you want onto the USB Key. When you reboot, go into the bios and make sure that the USB key is the primary boot device, It will show up in the "HARD DRIVE" section, not the USB section, because the tool changes the device ID. Then you can boot into the key just like it was a floppy disk that is over 2GB -
Yes,I do believe that UEFI boot (Windows 8 Boot) needs to be disabled.
-
Hi a quick question, can I flash my P150EM while in windows recovery environment (command prompt)? I am not sure how to create a boot disk that boots into DOS.

I have a Sager NP9170, and just have had no luck with Prema Mod. The flash seems to complete, but there just aren't any BIOS options.
-
There are no extra BIOS options for the Ivy Bridge NP-9 Series, all improvements are automatically and "under the hood",. Your system will Turbo longer, the RAMs being faster etc, nothing for you to do manually.
-
Hi Prema,
At biosmods.wordpress.com you provide the "stock" Clevo BIOS & EC -- is it the same as the stock Sager BIOS & EC?
If I flashed the mod and decided to go back to stock, do I have to flash the stock Clevo one or Sager one?
Thanks. -
Generally the stock BIOS/EC on my page flash the EC and BIOS in one go, so it doesn't matter and you can use them on all Clevos, Sager etc...
It is always good to keep the latest vendor specific BIOS/EC ready in case in needs to go for service.
(Rule of thumb, always flash the EC first and then the BIOS)kong likes this. -
I am in the process of updating my Devil 9700 DTX (Clevo W860CU) with the latest BIOS. After reading this tread, I contacted the company and while waiting for their reply, I would like to ask you something.
In the first post you mention update first EC/KBC. I see only BIOS update on the download page. I have the following BIOS: 1.00.11 and FW is: 1.00.10
Where can I find this EC/KBC update? -
Can't find BIOS update file for my Clevo M765S Notebook. My current BIOS version: Phoenix Technologies LTD Version 6.0... Can someone help me pls?
-
Why is there no Sager EC/KBC V 1.02.11? Unless I can use that on my NP9150?
-
I made a bootable USB drive with Rufus and put the two folders (one with EC one with BIOS) on the USB stick. But, I do not know how to navigate the DOS program when I boot the USB stick. The instructions say to type dir and then navigate to each folder, but there are no instructions on how to actually do that navigation and run a bat file.
-
Hehe. Did you type dir and get the list of files?
Use cd <foldername> to get into a folder "cd .." to exit a folder
to run a batfile just type it's full name, including the .bat extension. -
I got it to work by typing dir, then cd [folder name] and then typing the bat file. But damn it seems like with every source for Clevo BIOS files the instructions provided whether by the uploaded or in the readme text files are barely useful for someone who has little experience with DOS.
-
I have a Clevo w170er, but the motherboard is w150er.
BIOS - 1.00.06
FIRMWARE - 1.00.02
APTIO - 2.14.1219
Can anyone help me update these things, I do not know which files from W1xxER to choose from.
Thanks- -
The 2 systems use the same BIOS.
-
The reason is because... it is generally assumed that if you know how to use DOS, you are tech knowledgeable enough to know what you are doing when flashing a BIOS.
It's more like a safe-guard against people who are more prone to damage their laptops by flashing their BIOS.
