If you only flashed the BIOS and not the EC, try this:
- Rename the correct W370ET BIOS file (4MB or 6MB) to "W11ER.rom"
- Place the renamed file on the root of a FAT32 formatted flash drive
- Plug it into the USB 2.0 port of the system
- Hold the Fn + B keys
- Power on system while continuing to hold Fn+B. (The system will power off and power back on)
- In the recovery menu select Proceed with flash update and follow the on-screen instructions
If that doesn't work you will need to reprogram the BIOS chip with a running dump from someone with the same system.
Good Luck! -
HI,
There is no reaction on pressing FN+B.
The Screen is still black and there is no reboot.
I Flashed the wronge bios with the standart procedure out of the readmee delivered with the bios.
I don´t know, if the the ec is then flashed, too. -
I am afraid PuGZopf that you will have to look for a laptop repair shop.
For instance where I live, there is a laptop repair shop that flashes bad BIOS chips for 10 GBP.
Just search one which is nearby and ask them to do it. Shouldn't cost more than 20 GBP. Just bring with you a flash drive with the right BIOS. -
I ask my local (duesseldorf) PC "Dealer". He said, it seems not to be possible.
I Have nearby ( 15 minutes with car) the Germany Clevo Support. But on the Phone they told me "No Support for private customer"
argh.
I Think, they could help me at best.
Does any one know, How I can get their support? Maybe directly drive to then???
Maybe one of you can astablished a contact between them and me??

To fix your laptop, they need to have a special device which reads BIOS chips.
They need to desolder the BIOS chips, put in the machine, flash it with the right version and resolder it back in.
They don't need to be Clevo resellers, just a laptop repair shop.
Last week I did this at my local repair shop with a vBIOS chip. The whole thing took 10-15 minutes. (including taking the laptop apart).
There must be a repair shop that has such a device in Dusseldorf, in fact any serious laptop repair shop will have one.
Just search for laptop repairs with google and you should find what you need.Prema likes this. -
Excuse me. I am new here. I'm sorry, if I posted this in a wrong place.
I would like to ask if you will add P17xEM bios update for supporting win 8.1?

clevo W54_55SU1,SUW/W54_55SU1,SUW, BIOS 4.6.5 02/20/2014
hello,
Good morning.
First of all sorry if my English is not very good, I mastered poorly.
I just flash my bios with the 1.03.05 ( W54xSU1/W55xSU1/W555SUW ) version when flashing, I got this error:
Error 25: The host CPU Does not-have write access to the target flash area. To enable write access for this operation you must modify the descriptor settings to give host access to this area. /
Nevertheless, the flash is finished. I am
in 1.03.05 for bios
and 1.03.02 for the EC
Surprisingly, the option
ADD_CMOS define slot for add mSATA/3G device that was installed with the 3.1.03 version has become non-editable.
Otherwise, can I go back with Version 1.03.03 (I installed without problems)
What do you think?
Thank you very much. -
Good day guys, is there a prema mod for sager np9377-S?

A quick question regarding my BIOS version in recently acquired Clevo P150SM
BIOS:1.00.07
I've got it from a local re-seller (EU). I dual boot to Linux often and was able to get most things working (airplane mode still not working). Was wondering if a BIOS update have something interesting in it. Is there a way to get a list of changes and versions for this? I am truly amazed that Clevo does not provide a BIOS updates. Also the "multitude" of BIOS options was an interesting discovery after I started it up for the first time... -
Check the first post ...

Hi everyone! :hi2: I wanted to ask a very little and maybe stupid question
... is there a little chance of getting a modded bios for my new and shiny Clevo W650SJ? (aka SAGER NP6658)
I know, it has just been released but I'd really like to change a couple of things that are now locked in Intel XTU and I really don't know any program to edit bios on my own...
Thanks for the help -
Hi! The links are broken.
The file of the first link can be found here: http://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/W1x0HRx/
Could someone be kind enough to reupload the file of the rapidshare link?
Thanks! -
I recommended to a friend the P150SM. He bought one, and it turned out to be a P150SM-A.
He got it without a graphics card, thinking he could just buy one if/when he needs one and just use the Intel onboard in the meantime.
It would POST and everything, and we could enter CMOS setup, but the BIOS kept repeatedly beeping and after a little while it turned itself off.
So I thought I'd put in a spare 770M I had (I upgraded mine to a 780M), and now the BIOS doesn't complain anymore and it's usable. However, the Nvidia drivers refuse to install in Windows.
I figure it's because the P150SM-A wants a GTX 8*0M graphics card and not a GTX 7*0M graphics card.
Is it possible to flash the BIOS and make it use the 770M? -
The official driver inf doesn't contain that card for that model. Try the driver offered by Clevo or mod the inf....:
ftp://ftp.clevo.com.tw/P1xxSM-A/VGA/VGA_N.zip -
You mean even if you specifically pick the 770M to download drivers for?
I'm using the same drivers on my 780M. -
Yes, they are also motherboard dependent...
-
I've never heard of a graphics driver being motherboard dependent (well, except for onboard graphics). Why would that be the case?
-
All NVIDIA notebook driver are.
-
So, how would I go about modding the official Nvidia drivers?
-
Open the nvcvi.inf in notepad and change all instances of "11E0.5106" to "11E0.5281" as well as the "SUBSYS_51061558" which occur in the same lines to "SUBSYS_52811558" and safe it.
Boot Windows without driver signature enforcement and install the driver. -
Bad post!!

Hello, I have my W370SS unfortunately flashed with an incorrect EC bios. Now the device will not boot.
What can I do? -
What exactly did you flash?
-
I have flashed the EC file from the P704 to the A704.
The laptop no longer turns on, only power LED and battery LED are on.
The bios is the correct installed by the A704.
Sorry for my bad English -
Well, that system is ready for RMA then...sorry

Hello,
I Have a 2 year old P150HM with a broke ATI 6990m, so now I can only run my laptop on the bios chip. But in this mode the resolutions are a little off so everything is to stretch. Now I was wondering if there is any chance I could change the default resolutions for example to 1440x900 because my resolution now is 1400x1050 and for my school I need the have correct dimensions for Photoshop. And because money is a little short right now i wont be able to replace my video card or laptop.
thanks in advance,

Hello!
Please, help. Where i'm can get ROM BIOS for my Clevo W65/W670SR motherboard? -
I just flashed med EC and BIOS on my clevo P150SM. I asked my reseller for the updates, and i followed the readme files included. Everything went smooth, and no errors ocurred. The EC update was fast and i checked to see the new version. Then i began with the BIOS, and it also was smooth, but when it was done, i went to check the new version, it hadn't updated. I don't get it. Everything works fine on the computer, it just bugs me, that i did exactly what the readme told me to do, and it didn't update afterall. Do any of you have any explanations to this problem?
Should i start over with the BIOS only?

Hi,
I have the NP7338 / W230SS and for some reason the GTX860m GPU has disappeared. It's not being detected by the Geforce driver installer and it isn't listed (or hidden) under Display adapters in Device manager. I flashed the bios to the W230SS/NP7338 Prema Mod v1 but it still cannot detect the GPU. In the bios, dGPU lists none are present. Is this a hardware issue at this point?
Any help and advice is much appreciated, thank you! -
bios for W650SJ ?

Hello Everyone,
I've Monster P150EM (In Turkey it's branded as monster)
I downloaded , 1.02.16 Sistem Bios And 1.02.11 EC Firmware FN+1 Turbo FAN
I tried to flash ECfirmware first, then system bios.
When i booted up from usb, and typed to flash the firmware. It started flashing, my fan started to turn like crazy. My computer shutted down itself.
I tried second time, it didn't flash, it's switching off itself.
What should i do? -
Hi everybody !
I'm happy to tell you that I have changed the server in use for my mirror : instead of the asthmatic snail I was on, I now have a proper server with a good bandwidth \o/
So, downloads will be way faster
I also updated my mirror : Clevo mirror
(there will be no changelog, because of the server changes, so check it out yourselves)

Hello, i've bought on a few day a W550EU for repair my old by transferring the CPU, RAM, HDD, SSD but my OEM Shop have sell me a computer without the is own BIOS Version, i want to install the last BIOS from the palkeo mirror but like Guillome and Floww i've the same probleme. Prema or Other Can you help me to update EC and BIOS and if possible to change that horror of UEFI Boot Logo ?
Thanks in advance ! -
Troublesome clevo's.
I just received my new Dell nVidia GTX680m and it doesn't detects it
in the bios. As 2nd i reflashed from prema to stock bios BIOS V 1.02.17 EC/KBC V 1.02.11.
((Happily thus who have the standard bios in, where you can change from the igp to the additional
graphics card as the 1st adaptor, and vice versa.))
Since i removed the Ati crap, the notebook continously beeps in one second intervals, and
nvflash shows in the pure shell "no nvidia display adapters found".
After some seconds the notebook shuts off automatically.
\edit
Solved. The clevo bios needs a few minor modifications to get the workaround. Gotcha! Working. -
problem solved with a factory reinstall and reboot

Hey, Prema. I just received my brand new Eurocom Shark 3 W355SS and flashed the BIOS to your mod. All went well, but now I'm noticing a dead pixel. I want to send it back for repairs, but never thought to backup the original Eurocom BIOS. Am I royally screwed?

Hi All, I just tried to upgrade my EC and BIOS of my notebook. It is a LDLC mount using W350SKQ/W370SK.
It was originally: BIOS 1.00.01 and EC 1.00.08.
For the EC part all went well, now it is 1.03.02 and the fan is finally less noisy.
However, when I tried to flash the BIOS (executing all steps, meset and then flashme),
some error message appeared but it was so fast that I couldn't read it. My notebook
still works but the BIOS version still 1.00.01.
Any ideas? Should I try to flash a different version? I read that downgrade is dangerous
so I didn't tried that. -
Hello
I have the same problem with my clevo W550EU (bios 1.02.06/EC 1.02.07).
Files on W540EU/W550EU don't allow to update to 1.03.xx versions of BIOS/EC.
could you provide the files to proprely flash EC and BIOS?
thanks. -
I am having problems with usb 3.0 ports on my p157sm being routed to my echi controller instead of my xchi. At least that is what Microsoft is suggesting. I have not done any bios updates on this computer yet, and I dread doing it. The reason being I cannot seem to get a hold of a simple stock bios with clear instructions. Clevo do not provide, and the files and instructions in this thread seem ambiguous, at best. First: Is there any point for me flashing the bios ? Also, are there more people out there with usb 3.0 ports running at usb2 speeds, and what are you doing about it ?
-
Either email your reseller or go to Prema's site and go to the stock bios section. He has a handy flasher that combines the BIOS and the EC in a single simple flash.

Do you know of somewhere I could see what updates are made through these bios updates ? I flashed with stock with BIOS 305 EC 301, but I don't know where to find release notes ?
-
Hmmm... I don't know, Prema might have them. Unfortunately Clevo doesn't release the BIOS publicly so if there isn't a release note file in the zip, I have no idea.

Hello,
I have one problem, i have a p370sm ( MAY 11/2013) , i'm searching a solution for the ec update, i tried all versions from 1.00.02 up to 1.03.01) but all fails in verifying. After 6 times "verifying" + "reflashing" then i get "Flash Error" and reboot. My originally EC version is 1.00.D8 and my Bios Version also 1.00.D8.
Does anybody know what is going wrong.
Many thanks in advance
Chris
