Clevo Driver Thread

I've installed Realtek HD Audio R2.68 and THX TruStudio Pro 1.04.03. THX says "There is no supported audio device available". I know some people had problems with THX. Is there a Realtek/THX TruStudio driver combo that works? Thanks.

 

ah the classic problem ^^ u have to install the thx version that came with ur driver disc first and double click on the register shortcut after installation. after that u can update to 1.04.03 otherwise it wont work
as for the realtek driver u can just use whatever is newest!

Did that - installed the software that came with the laptop (v1.03.01) but when I try to update it, it says that there are no updates available.

 

dont use the built-in update function,that never works just use the 1.04.03 installer provided in this thread without deleting ur current version and u should be good to go

Did that, the version was updated but now whenever I alter the THX settings nothing happens. I can't hear any difference at all when I change settings.

Is their a site where i can find all the latest drivers for the P170EM, i know Patrck_774 post all the latest drivers, but i have no idea which ones is applicable to my computer and hardware?

I re-installed everything (1.03 and 1.04) again and now it works! Go figure...

ugg, still waiting for whql gtx675m drivers, come on nvidia, anyone here anything?

 

Only know that nvidia has added the new GPUs to their driver search function. No driver yet tho .

 

I have been divorced ATi since 9800pro times, but now I'm having a 7970m with P150EM laptop coming tomorrow, maybe someone could tell me what drivers should I be using? I've seen a lot of beta drivers, but nothing for 7970m specifically.

ok so i just installed the 304.48 beta drivers and guess what: my notification area in the taskbar just vanished?!?!?! what the heck?
reboot didnt bring it back, lets see if i can find a solution for this...

edit: alright, fixed it with this tool and the option "Notification Area / Hide or show all listed tray icons"

 

Like all gone? I was just about to install this driver.

 

well yeah,the notification tray arrow was missing and the taskbar properties / customize notification area wouldnt let me enable any icons anymore,no idea why. tried several registry hacks,reboot system,explorer.exe shootdowns/manual restarts,but i finally got it back with the above mentioned tool now benching with the new drivers,already looks like theyre faster than the previous ones i used (301.24)

Installed fine on my laptop. I didn't experience any of the problems above me. Make sure that you use DriverSweeper and a registry cleaner when installing new drivers. The nVidia clean install option still leaves a few residues when you just use that one alone.

 

well yeah,lazy me usually just does a custom / fresh install of the nvidia drivers worked out tho in the end

After I installed 304.48 on my GTX 675M, BF3 always freezes 15min into the game . Guess time to roll back to 302.71.

Yep 720/1675 for BF3 on my GTX 675M, but the freeze wasn't happening with 302.71.

 

Nevermind it was the FXAA injector I used with BF3, makes BF3 freeze when running it with 304.48, I'm just going to roll back to 302.71 I guess, FXAA is really a nice thing to have for BF3. Hopefully I can still use FXAA injector for BF3 with the later drivers. Also for some reasons The witcher 2 started stuttering, FPS still reads 36 but it's stuttering with the 304.48 which was smooth on the 302.71.

Version 2.69 and 2.70 KOed my subwoofer.

 

Related to this issue, how do I even know if the subwoofer of my NP8130 is working? How do I test it?

 

well, update on my issue with the gtx675m, sager is replacing the video card and the motherboard. i bought the extra warranty and they are sending me the shipping label. so i guess both were bad.

will this wifi card work for my clevo p150em? I got the stock realtek ones from sager but it keeps crashing and I have to keep re-enabling it in the device manager to keep it working.

It will work fine. Make sure you download drivers before uninstalling your realtek one.

 

Is your router 300Mbps simultanious duel-band?

The Intel 6230 is 300Mbps duel-band with Bluetooth 3.0.

same here... If I plug in external speakers I hear sound all the way but with internal speakers I hear a little something just in the middle... using R2,70...

 

hm thats weird@floridan79 & redkulaid. on my internal speakers i hear a slowly mounting boom-like vibration sound which then slowly resides towards the end of the vid, but its continuously audible.

 

I tried using Stereo and 5.1 (only front left/right and subwoofer enabled) modes in Realtek's program and I can hear a sound with the video you've linked. I think the video you've linked doesn't particularly test the subwoofer because the frequency of that audio can be outputted by any speaker (even the two front left/right speakers of the np8130) just not optimally like a true subwoofer would.

 

alright, lemme correct then: u only hear a rich boom-like sound when ur subwoofer is enabled, otherwise its thin and tinny. better?

been trying to charge my phone while the laptop is off.. dunno if its a driver thing or if i haven't enabled something somewhere
