    +1 !!

Here's a guide from OCN that you should follow (and stay away from DriverSweeper): How to: Remove your Nvidia GPU Drivers.

    Hope that helps.

When I install drivers, should I download and install the updated ones in place of the older ones, or install all from disc in order and later install updated drivers? For example, I think there is an updated video driver on Sager support, but not sure if I should install that first, or install the stock CD driver and then over write with the updated video driver from Sager.

I am going to install just from the disc, exactly as the manual instructs, and later install the updated drivers from online support. I am sure the updated drivers were intended to be written over the stock drivers or they wouldn't be posted. Better to follow standard procedure I would say.

When your P150EM arrives, it should come with a driver disk. Take a look at what is on the disk as well as go to "Device Manager" to make note of the make/model of the components. Each driver should have an associated date/version.

Once you have that info, check Clevo / Sager 's sites for any updated drivers (newer release date/version). Note on version numbering (which maybe 2 or more digits separated by a period), they will be presented in left to right by order of magnitude. In other words 10.x.y.z is newer than 8.a.b.c. And 11.2.x will be newer than 11.1.y. Use that with the date to determine the "age" of your drivers.

If they match the same version/date is on your "driver disk", you can check the manufacturer's web site. For example, http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx?lang=eng will have all intel based drivers. Finally, some ppl seem to have been able find what they are looking for on the "Station-Drivers" web site.

    Good luck.

I don't know about ATI's version but for nVidia's you go to the control panel then the "Desktop" menu item at the top and click on "Display GPU Activity Icon in Notification Area" and it gives you a little icon on the bottom right that shows when the dGPU is turned on.

Yeh I don't think there is a way with Enduro currently which is frustrating and sorely needed in my opinion.

If you want to be certain the 7970M is running the only way we've got at the moment (or atleast the one many people on this forum seem to be doing) is to run the MSI-Kombustor app which is a monitoring program - set it to run on the 7970M and then whenever you run the MSI-Kombustor app you know the 7970M will be the GPU used - not the Intel 4000. AMD/Ati seriously need a "Display GPU Activity Icon in Notification Area" button.

    :)

i dont think its an issue that they dont show which gpu is running, i mean you fire up a game, close it, set the .exe to high performance, restart it and your done.
Im sure you will notice if the game is running on the integrated HD4000

but it would be nice though :D

After doing a clean Windows installation install the Intel graphics driver before installing the NVIDIA or AMD graphics driver.

This will help getting the switching graphics to work correctly but switching graphics is not an exact science.

Installing the Syaptics 16.2.1.3 driver without having a previous version installed that put an icon for the Synatics Control Panel in the taskbar most likely won't work properly.

If you had a 15.1,15.2 or 15.3 driver previously installed then updating to the 16.2.1.3 should give you a new Synaptics Control Panel.

Open the Program Files>Syaptics folder and there's some videos for the 2 and 3 finger scrolling.

I got the bigfoot n1102 card but I don't seem to get my bluetooth to be working? fn+f12 does not say anything on screen and the keyboard led isnt turning on.

I installed Bluesoleil and when I want to turn on bluetooth, it says: "bluetooth is starting" in the bottem right corner above the windows taskbar but its not turning on.

    I enabled bluetooth in bios.
    Anyone?

I´m guessing that chipset driver is for HM series for instance, notice the info:
    * Version: 9.2.3.1025
    * Target: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor E5 Product Family/Core i7
    * Intel(R) C600/X79 series chipset
    * Date: May 10 2012

And if you take a look at the drivers in the original CLEVO driver CD:
    * Version: 9.3.0.1020
    * Target Chipset#: Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family
    * Date: January 16 2012

    That´s somewhat confusing!

The 9.2.3.1025 doesn't seem to install on the EM, says minimum reuirement not met. I guess it's really for C600/X79, I'm not going to try the command -overall -overide and mess up the SATA controller tho.

Does this thread include updates for the Clevo P150EM? Is there a link where I can regularly (once a month or so) check for new drivers from Clevo/AMD/Intel for the P150EM?

Yeap according to the readme that´s not even compatible with the HM series, so everyone should just ignore it. That looks like something for intel workstations or something, i don´t know. But im sure it´s not for our Clevo Laptops.

Anyone ever had issues with this wireless card on P150EM?

Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n COMBO PCI-E NIC

I have tried the CD drivers and both the Clevo's and Realtek's website drivers, but the issue is still there. Everytime i reboot, be it nomal or safe mode, I have to deactivate and reactivate the card twice ( always twice), or else it doesn't work. It shows no networks available. It's probably a drivers problem.
Also, after it's working, if i try Fn+F11 i can't turn it off, and before it's working i can't turn it on.

I might create a thread if i get no answer from here.

    Thank you, cheers!

Hey man I had the same issue as would everyone with a 7970M. Dissapointing isn't it.

I asked that and some other questions of the company I bought my P150EM from

    Hi Lee,

We have received a support query from Affordable Laptops in regards to a few
    queries you
had concerning the AMD 7970 graphics card. I have answered your questions as
    per your
    email in numerical order below:

    1) Yes, unlike NVIDIA, unfortunately the AMD 7970 drivers do not come
bundled with a built in piece of
software to display in the task bar if the dedicated GPU is being utilised
at any given point in time. As
a general rule of thumb the best way to know if the integrated GPU or
    dedicated GPU is being used
is by the framerates, and there are many different programs out there that
    can give a quick taskbar
    style live feed on framerates.

    2) With NVIDIA and AMD there is presently no option in BIOS to
    enable/disable the integrated or
dedicated GPU. As a general rule of thumb the integrated GPU is only
    programmed to take over when
the system is running on battery to conserve power.

    3) I have just checked CCC's switchable graphics section and been able to
    browse to any program
that I desire to be switched on High Performance or Power Saving. Can you
    kindly confirm if you are
    able to browse your programs?

    4) Sorry if I've mis-interpreted your point here, but do you mean that not
    all your games are running
on the 7970 and that some of them are actually running off the integrated
    graphics card by default
right after installation? Can you kindly confirm what games they are?

    5) AMD's download checker is not functional unfortunately. The best way to
    download drivers
    is directly off their website.

    AMD Catalyst

We have heard reports of the 12.7 Beta drivers not working too well with
    switchable graphics.
We still recommend using the standard Clevo drivers included with the laptop
    at this point in time
    for full stability.

    6) Yes, for some unusual reason system monitoring programs are unable to
    monitor the AMD 7970
until the graphics card is actually in use. This is quirk with the current
AMD 7970 which will more than
    likely never be resolved.

    7) Yes, the AMD 7970 in the Clevo P150EM will be as well supported by AMD as
    any other mobile 7970
product out there in the market. But AMD have historically always been a bit
    slower than NVIDIA with driver
    support unfortunatley.

And the rest of our emails:

    Hi Lee,

Sorry for the delay with my response.

Unfortunately Clevo are not greatest when it comes to keeping drivers up to date on their own
website. The best resource for driver updates in our experience has always been through
notebookreview.com, that's if you want to find out immediately.

Of course we will also have the latest drivers once they're released, but you may not find out about
it until you make an enquiry with us or see it uploaded to our driver download page.

Unfortunately I don’t believe AMD will ever incorporate a tray icon like NVIDIA unless there are enough
    people complaining loudly about it.

When you refer to making the the 7970 come on 100% of the time when on mains, are you referring
to stopping the HD4000 driver from handling basic windows functions too? If this is the case, then
    unfortunately the answer is no.

With regards to monitoring the temperature, it would be nice if something more efficient than running
MSI kombustor in the background came along. But unfortunately I don’t believe this will ever be
    addressed.

    -----------Original Message------------

    Hi Dxxx,

Yes definitely needs fine tuning and I agree it’s an excellent card. It’s
just the polish on the software that needs some work.

Do you think it will get it? I was pretty concerned when the AMD Mobility
driver didn’t work with the 7970M, that coupled with GPU-Z not working, not
understanding the prompt system and need to specify high performance and
some of the other missing polish made me fearful this card is going to go
the way of the 310M on my Dell Vostro 3300 – unsupported by Nvidia’s Verde
drivers and unsupported by Dell. It’s such a high end flagship card for AMD
I find it hard to see how they couldn’t put more resources into making it
    really shine for users.

Seems so simple and obvious to have a little icon on the system tray to show
when the 7970M is in use (or not) which would help people a lot with
confusion about the Intel 4000 not working.

Is there a Clevo website that has drivers for the P150EM/P170EM I can keep
    an eye on?

Do you know if there is a way to make the 7970M come on 100% when on mains
    power?

Previous laptops I’ve had I could do that with in the Power Saver
configuration areas. At the moment guys are running MSI Kombustor in the
background monitoring temp and GPU load to get the 7970M to be “always on”.
It’s a fine workaround but not as elegant as a proper software/driver
    solution.

    Kind regards

    Hi Lee,

Thanks for your response and the list of games that did not automatically
    switch
to high performance. In fact, you helped remind me that the AMD driver is
    typically
meant to come up with a prompt asking you to configure the game for either
    high performance
or power saving. The AMD driver could probably still do with a bit more fine
    tuning to make that
    process a bit more seemless.

I genuinely believe the AMD 7970 still represents the best value for money
    in a highend
gaming card. Although drivers are perhaps not as well supported as NVIDIA,
    with even the
stock drivers, the video card offers superior performance which is on par
    with the GTX 680M.

If you have any further queries please feel free to ask.

    -----------Original
    Message------------Hi Dxxxx,

    Thanks for the reply.

    1. Yeh that’s a real pity. Hopefully Clevo/AMD will fix this as it’s a
simple thing to implement and would help a lot

    2. OK

    3. Yes I have used Switchable Graphics section extensively

    4. Pretty much every single game runs with the Intel 4000 by default the
first time – I know simply by using FRAPS and noticing the frame rates are
very very low. I’ve had to configure every game I’ve installed to use the
    High Performance setting.

You install the game, run it the first time. It runs slow, you exit, a popup
appears asking you to configure the game/exe, you set it to High
Performance, then run the game again and it’s now using the 7970M.

List of all games I’ve installed and run so far.

Every game needed the popup after running the game and configuring. Only
game that didn’t was Call of Duty.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
    Starcraft 2
    Diablo3
    Farcry 2
    Dead Space
    Supreme Commander
Call of Duty 4 MW (this one I didn't have to set to High Performance)
    Might and Magic Heroes VI

Also 3DMark 11 was set to High Performance automatically for me which is
    good.

    5. I really hope AMD’s mobility drivers can reach a maturity like the
    Nvidia ones.

    6. OK

    7. I don’t mind slow as long as we get something. Even if it’s only 2
driver updates a year as long as they happen for the next 2-3 years or the
life of the laptop I’m happy. I just don’t want this one and only Clevo
driver on the disk to be the last driver we ever get. That’s happened to me
before with Dell and it’s really annoying with newer games say 12 months
    from now.

There is a bit of movement starting on notebookreview about the 7970M issues
    so hopefully they improve soon.

I should have spent the extra money and bought the GTX680M

    Kind regards

Still on this... I noticed if I don't have any graphics driver installed, the driver will work flawlessly. These drivers include HDMI drivers as well. Anyone got a clue?

Try to install the WLAN driver from this page GIGABYTE - Notebook / Slate & Device - Notebook & Netbook - P series - P2532N

    Direct link : http://download.gigabyte.us/FileLis...32N-win7-WLAN-1.00.0180(1005.18.413.2011).zip

Also experienced similar problems on this laptop 15.6" [Extreme] Ноутбук DNS (0151825) (FHD) = P150EM. Until, everything is working fine.

It's not for my laptop but i'll try them on.

Those on your direct link made me unable to boot in Normal mode. I'm able to boot in Safe Mode though, and the wireless is working properly.

    Ideas? :(

I tried installing with Setup.exe and manual driver installation ( by going in device manager, etc ).
