Huge memory leak in IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe in RSTD 11.5.0.1207.

I advise everyone not to use them as there are also reports of data corruption due to the memory leak.

    Major Intel brainfart fail.

Are ppl using this although it is only released for desktop mobos? Although tempted, I abstained from installing this as my mobo (and no one else's lappy mobo) was listed as part of the supported hardware.

Well it went up to 600MB on my Clevo so I googled it and seems the problem is widespread.

I would highly recommend staying at 11.2.

It's now been removed (temporarily) from the Intel site.

11.5 is supposed to offer TRIM support on SSD RAID volumes, but I suppose we also need an updated option ROM for that work.

If this post is accurate - RAID0 TRIM? - I'm not sure it would've ever worked on a laptop mobo. And if there is a lappy mobo running Z77, it would only be at RAID 0.

Hey guys awesome thread and super useful but is there any chance you could add the actual Clevo names (P150EM, P170EM, P151EM1, W25AES, W110ER, W170ER etc) of the laptops rather than the Sager names ( NP3250 / NP5160/65 / NP5170/75 / NP8130 / NP8150 / NP8170 / NP8180) cause unless you have a Sager and/or understand how their naming system relates to Clevo models it's not very useful...

For example I have a P150EM and I have no idea at a glance which of those NP8xxx numbers it relates to...I'm guessing it would be NP8150EM?? and the NP8 is Sagers own naming system??? But I am probably wrong.

Just an idea. Would definitely make this a much more useful resource for me. Especially as this one is good Metabox Driver Downloads but yours would be better as it has dates and is "forum" approved.

8982.3 has been released but apparently only supports FirePRO cards. Rumor mill says 12.8WHQL drivers are on their way next week. Does anyone have any way to confirm or support this?

The latest driver that Intel has on its website is 10.8.0.1003, so I wonder if they didn't find out something wrong with 11.2 too.

Question about the AMD 7970M driver I'm hoping someone can answer.

I installed the version off the CD that came with my P150EM (I installed Windows myself to save money as I had an existing license) and it's been working fine.

My question is how do I tell what version it is to compare against the driver that is listed on the Metabox Driver Downloads Metabox Drivers site?

They have version AMD Radeon HD 7970M Video Driver for Windows 7 32 BIT/64 BIT 8.951.6.0 up there.

Also another question is who makes these AMD drivers for the Clevo laptops? Is it Clevo? Or AMD? Also why if it's AMD wouldn't they have created the driver in such a way as that it works with the AMD Auto Detect utility?

    Appreciate your time.

Nope. The latest version on Intel's site is 10.8.0.1003, hence my question.

10.8.0.1003 is the latest for laptop controllers like ICH9R. If you look closely, the 11.2 drivers are provided for intel Desktop mobos / controllers.

Now, some ppl in other forums have reported no problems when using these on laptops (non-Clevo ones), but I'm waiting for them to update the one specifically designed for my x7200's ICH10

Yes exactly. Desktop/laptop Intel SATA drivers have always worked on both.

New driver out now anyway: 11.5.2.1001 WHQL

I wonder if intel fixed this. Earlier Intel pulled 11.5.0.1207 from their web site due to memory leaks and data corruption. You can pick up the thread and finish it from here - http://forum.notebookreview.com/sol...11-5-whql-released-finally-4.html#post8757900

So, I wonder if 11.5.2.1001 addressed those concerns. Can't seem to locate it on intel's download site.

[EDIT]Found a post where someone mentioned 11.5.2.1001 did address those issues, but those drivers are not an official release from Intel. Some more adventuresome ppl have reported the drivers work just fine. And we all know that you can always believe/trust statements if they're on the internet. Proceed with caution.[/EDIT]

Why would you cross your fingers for WHQL qualified drivers?

And these drivers are for ICH10R.

Fingers are crossed as it is a non-official release from Intel. Could be beta. Could be pre-release. Hey, I'm not stopping you, just wishing you luck.

In regards to the driver for that controller, I'm still hesitant. Why have they not updated this driver - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sea...tel®+RST)&ProdId=2101&LineId=1090&FamilyId=40

but they have for the desktop boards. Some posts have suggested there is an updated BIOS for the 11.5 drivers - hence only being supported on some desktop boards.

Does anyone know where to get the official drivers for the 680m? That one's on Sager's website say my hardware is incompatible. I would like to find a way to get the 3d vision enabled in the control panel as well. Is it possible to hack that into there?

The supported products area, only show GTX 675m and lower ones as compatible, so users with the 680m can't install this beta?
