is it best to have the latest drivers? such as intel rapid storage technology and intel chipset driver?

im getting a new hard drive and installing Win 7. Im not sure if i should install the ones in CD that malibal gave or with the latest one in this thread.

You have two THX softwares posted here, which one is the latest?

When I download from uploaded.to, I always receive this error: You've reached your Free account limit. In order to be able to proceed downloading you need a Premium account.

What do I do?

Most of the drivers offered at my local Clevo shop is from August 2011 or older, so its nice to get updated stuff.

 

I'm hoping Nvidia hurry up and release some new graphics drivers. I'm really tired of Firefox causing TDRs. (Timeout Detection and Recovery)

 

Are you running the lastest WHQL drivers, or the Beta ones? I'd try either/or depending on what you're running, in case it's driver specific.

Hello to everyone.
I have great difficulty finding a driver for the 285m gtx SLI Clevo X8100.
If I install a different driver than the Clevo site (at the moment i have the latest from nvidia site) I still BSOD while playing as well as I browse or work normally.

It 'possible that there is a stable driver of the 2xx series? The site Clevo is stopped to 19x!

Help me, if I continue so risk of burning some hardware in my PC with various blue screen and crash.

If you're finding that the older driver is the only one that's been stable, I'd say you might just want to stick with it. Those cards are older, so newer drivers may not ever work great with them. They shouldn't BSOD with new drivers, but if you've tried a bunch and found that not to be the case, then there isn't much that can be done.

Please excuse my ignorance, but do the drivers that are linked on page 1 apply for the P150HM? I just ordered one of these and am wanting to get the newest drivers ready to install when it arrives.

Also, the DL link for the Realtek HD Audio driver appears to be broken.

 

Most of the drivers listed here applies for your laptop. You just have to choose the right network and/or wireless drivers.

I have had some issues installing the newest driver on my P170HM with a 6970m, all drivers have refused to be installed and said that all drivers were up-to-date already when trying to install 11.12 and 12.1. The drivers I had installed was the ones from the CD that came with the laptop, 11.11 apparently.
Is this normal? Does anyone else have this issue?

The 12.3 driver seem to have installed successfully though, so that's good.


EDIT: I don't know what these drivers (12.3) did but my FPS in Skyrim has skyrocketed, it's a lot higher than it were before. And I just installed a texture mod to it too, so I would probably say I suggest these drivers a lot.
Then again, I have been stuck on 11.11 so I might have missed the driver that gave a FPS boost in Skyrim some months ago.

 

on the contrary i had issues installing 12.3 from 12.2

after installing 12.3 my ccc wouldnt start. tried the installer to remove the drivers via uninstaller but it doesnt work. tried rolling back to 12.2 didnt work either. gna try removing the driver components painfully.
just a heads up incase someone has the same issues

This installer tries to back up a ton of (media files and some other stuff) onto your C drive, which doesn't work when you've got 200 GB of media files, and only a 128 GB SSD serving as your C drive.

 

REALTEK High Definition Audio R2.67 is doing weird stuff to my sound via headphone connector. It messes up the THX. In movies I cannot hear dialogue, in music singer's voice sounds like he is locked somewhere in sewer pipe, it is over-bassed and almost muted unless i pull some sliders in THX settings to the left. Recomended position does not work.

 

For all you whimps out there that desire the Official Intel branding,the Intel RST v11.0.01032 is now not only WHQL but is also "OFFICIAL".

The f6flpy versions are what I install at the Add Driver screen of custom clean Windows 7 installations.

They can also be added manually in Device Manager>>IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers>SATA ACHI controller>Driver>Update Driver

The exe file version adds the same driver as the f6flpy but also adds alot of extra baggage.
