I think PCMicroWorks should be added to the front page, they have been taking alotta questions lately and getting a lotta sales at good prices. I had to find them through alotta searching and they werent even up here... just a thought![]()

I also agree with that suggestion.

Please NBR let me make a WikiPost..... it would help us all.
This is my last week for the semester, I will bring up my new Clevo Guide this weekend if all goes right. -

I know that xotic will probably have a preorder available soon and that i will have to make my decision between xotic and pcmw. I have definitely heard more about xotic than pcmw and am wondering if anyone can tell me how these two resellers compare, particularly when it comes to customer service.
Also, is getting a warranty past the first year worth it? -
They are both great in CS.
Xoticpc and PND is very quick and prompt in responses, and both have reps on this forum.
PCMW, you usually have to wait a couple of min to get a hold of them, but they understand the customer and are willing to adjust to their needs. In other words, they are practical.
-
i am really impressed with PCMW now.
-
They both seem solid.
It is nice Xotic has a rep on here (Jason) and he got back to me in a very timely manner with some questions I had. It's also nice Xotic is only about 4 hours north of me. -
did u mean justin? or is there another low profile rep named jason?
-
I think he eant justin
-
Yea, Just In Time

Done.... phew.
I'm tired.
Need to rest. -
As requested, the title has been changed...great job on the guide.
-
Wow job well done!!
-
Top work Gophn, but I think you should have made a new thread.
Anyone who starts from the first post and keeps reading the thread is going to be confused. -
why is like 50% of the european resellers in germany?
-

Many readers won't really know the first page is new.
Frankly, it might even be better if the Guide itself is locked. -
Mother of God, I had to scroll 5 mins to get it over with, wow!
That must be like all the Clevo info put togethere, if I ever saw one.
Awesome work Gophn, would rep ya the fifth time for it if the site would let me -
Masterful; truly masterful.

for PC-Koubou:
pricing: should be lower than average, $2070 for 5793 with t9300+8800m gtx+5k160+2gb ram+wuxga+xp home. standard 1 year warranty, $103 for 3 years. no vista available. no price match and discount. 1% interest rate for credit payment, up to 12 months.
company found at 28th September, 1990. 580 employees. I don't really wanna transfer their description since it is nothing special. -
for Two Top:
prices are almost identical with PC-Koubou, also below average compare to major US retailers. 1 year standard warranty, no option for extra warranty. no discount or price match. 17 chain stores in japan. 14 days return/exchange policy, no restocking fee. -
Yeah, I thought the fact that none of the venders were "lower then average" was weird as if average was as low as you can get. That kinda kills the meaning of average... don't you think?
Also, concerning the info for M570TU / M571TU. I'm really digging the black back with silver trimmings, the one option that I felt lacking from the current line of 17 inchers. And of course, I'm bummed out by the "late august" eta. However, I never saw any of this on the forum, is this some new computech info that I wasn't aware of? can I get a linky?
thanks for the new FAQ man. -
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
ETA is actually July 15th for the Sager NP579x (M570TU)
-
excellent, thats what I hoped. the August thing almost gave me a breakdown.
Can you also confirm the new silver on black case? -
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
It is too early to "confirm" the final specifications.
-
-
So... I suggest the comparisons be done such that its between the clevo venders are this is a clevo guide after all. I totally wouldn't mind doing it as I probably will go down the list in this guide configuring the perfect 570TU for the cheapest price. -
The pricing seems to have plateau'ed for most vendors from my recent vesion of the guide.
I updated the guide w/ an addition to "Making a Clevo Purchase..."
6.) Price (Most important factor?): As you see in the new guide, the pricing for most of the vendors are quite competitive with little to no differences in pricing... since most will price match or negotiate. Look at the warranty and service/support you will get... that is what is most important when buy such an item. -
Nice guide. I didn't know Cräpware had an umlaut though.
-
you cant say crap in some forums...
I updated it. -
Clevo Guide 2.0 is now WIKI'ed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clevo -
Gophn did you see my posts on previous page?
-

-
yeah, I will update the guide now.
thanks.
Nirv, can you give me their Mission Statement or description? (in English if possible) -
lol they are so boring, but sure I will translate them tomorrow.
-
cool thanks.
I already updated them in the guide. -

Dunno much about it!is it worth adding to the list??
-
Any vendor selling current Clevo notebooks is worth putting on the list.
Thanks. -
Added one more feature to this Guide.
QUICK LIST (for All vendors/resellers)
After doing the Clevo wikipedia overhaul, I saw that having the full list with no pics or extra text might help people out as well.
So its been added.
Also the list can help a person see if another Clevo vendor is on the list or not much easier. -
just wanted to point out that " Connoiseur Electronics" currently links to Qbit Online!!!( http://www.qbitonline.com/) :S loL!
Awesome job btw!! u should become a mod!! -
-
I am about to get some Mods and Admins input about that Zeilg.
Hold tight. -

Updated.
Added User Manual downloads to guide ... including M860TU and M570TU.
