The Chief Executive said the post this:
"Keep in mind that we are ALWAYS FIRST - we shipped D900F Panther i7 almost 2 months prior to "normal release. Remember we are DEVELOPERS and not just "another" dealer or distributor - so yes, dealers get product after developers and distributors - much much later. We had samples of this model for over 2 months"
"Tell "non believers" to order from us - if we don't deliver them FULL PRODUCTION SYSTEM we will offer them REWARD of $5,000 US CASH . No price matching on this Reward program."
Ask them to confirm this offer with [email protected] "
Sounds like a deal if they can't deliver. -
Look, I hate playing Devil's advocate sometimes, but since we've gone on this far, let's see it through, accordingly, define what they mean by "deliver" - in particular, what are the time limitations on delivery?
As I said before, it is entirely possible that Eurocom have done a 180 and are now top kid on the block; but they've cried wolf so often in the past that I won't believe it until I see it - that is the price they pay for having cried wolf so often before. -
Sleeyo,
If you had taken the time to look at Eurocoms site you would have seen this pic which looks like a pre-production model, hence the requestAttached Files:

Both Schenker and Cizmo (Germany) websites say they have this machine in stock, and a number of people in German forums claims thay have got one.
It is certainly not unheard of that some parts of the world gets serviced before others, you know. -
-
Dazman will be a busy boy trying to prove undeniably to everyone that the machine is infact the real deal and not some pre production model lol , i actually feel sorry for him and at the same time its great he is getting what he wants and earlier it seems then everyone else is .
-
I think some of the people in this thread will not be convinced untill he shows up on their doorsteps with the machine ....

is this a hardware issue or is it software ???
-
Nope, but ive seen a couple people mention it though but this isnt the place for this question outta respect to Sager owners
.

Also Multicom (Norway) sales person confirms the M980 is in stock and allmost ready for delivery, but they are waiting for the DVD devices for it - in a day or two, he said. They have not gotten any delay notice like some US vendors seems to have, from Clevo, or their importer - which I think is the German one.
In addition it allready has the 2 Meg pixel cam, not the 3 Meg one. -
I got mine today. Pics are bad but my phone cam is the only one I got. ^^;

Mystery solved...and my apologies to all.
Apparently Sager has been holding out for the 3MP camera while Europe and others accepted the 2MP camera...so all those who did accept the 2MP camera have their production models and have begun shipping.
Sager has now surrendered and accepted the 2MP camera, but this has, for the first time ever, put them behind the curve.
Again...my apologies for what appears now to be bad information that I posted earlier...and for any offense I caused. -
i knew eurocom was legit
-
-
Mine should be here today. It was 45min away so my fingers are crossed
-
Congratz be sure to include Pics
I KNOW your excited im waiting for my M17x right NOW !!!! -
Congrats guys. Still undecided between the M17x and the 9850 myself.
Leaning towards the 9850 since it's about $400 cheaper. The M17x unfortunately in my state, is taxed. :'( The M17x also does not have the T9900 option that I want.
Now, concerning the available warranties....Should I get the:3 Year Parts/Labor Warranty 24/7 Tech Support w/ LCD Accidental Damage Protection from Xotic PC or the more expensive 3 year Sager option? I'm leaning towards the Xotic Pc option since I've read horror stories of Sager's customer service via ResellerRatings.
Also, should I get the quad core Q9000 or the more expensive T9900 option? The faster Quads are out of my reach rignt now. -

Stay on-topic in this thread please; the topic is about Sager notebooks, so let's keep it that way. Thank you.

Specifically, in the email you related to us, Eurocom implicitly takes the position that they are the first to deliver the latest tech because they are experts, and designers, when the far more prosaic fact of the matter is that, but for dumb luck, Eurocom's chintziness (they're charging more for a system with only a 2mpeg camera than Sager was willing to charge for the same system with a 3mpeg camera), and Sager's pig-headedness in continuing to insist on the 3mpeg camera beyond the point at which they would be able to make timely delivery of the systems to customers, Eurocom would have been delivering its systems at exactly the same time as everyone else, and would have had nothing whatsoever to use as a hook on which to hang their braggadocio.
And that is precisely why I do not trust them until I can see that an actual delivery has in fact occurred, that an ordinary customer has in fact received what s/he has paid for, and has verified that it is not something suspect, like a covert pre-production model. Unfortunately, because Eurocom took the cheezy path, once again, and attempted to convert their dumb luck and Sager's stubbornness into something it wasn't, I still cannot trust anything they say or promise until I can see the proof of the pudding before my eyes. -

Dazman
firstly, you lucky git
id just like to appologise to you as well.
we only go by the official reports and all along the line the beast was delayed and that is what we were basing our posts on.
i must admit that i totally agree with Shyster1 post above.
good luck with your new beast -
Congrats! Glad to hear you guys are finally going to get this rig!
Did the 9400m get taken out? That would be a bummer if they didn't include it. -
I got the laptop for just over $1000.00 less on my configuration. In comarison to the USA pricing about $300.00 less.
I took 30 e-mails, but I got a good price. I do agree with a number of comments with respect to Eurocom as they are over priced. For example, some of their HDDs are $344.00 and the same can be had from NCIX for $96.99. -
Dazman, you going to post any more pics of that beauty? How's the screen? Congrats, I'm eager to hear more about it.
-
blimey, that is a bit of a price hike on HDs
at least i got the chance to have a play with the prototype back in april.
sod the pictures,we want benchmarks 3dmar06 and vantage. i want to see what 2gb graphics cards do to vantage scores. -

But congrats Dazman on your new rig, be cool to see some pics and reviews when you get it, I hope your experience with Eurocom, is nothing like mine.
