hahaha too lazy for a complete review mate!suffice it to say that with the modded vbios its plug n play, way quieter and less wattage than my previous 485m and approx. 50% performance boost when comparing max. OC clocks of both cards to each other

Gaaah. I'm soo tempted to nab one of these babies. I just caaant decide :/ either 150EM for portability or 370EM for crazy power (and it gives me a chance to get a new backpack lol) -
I'm not a respresentative. I'm normal just extremly eager to get one of those beasts. So i found the link in a german forum. Just wanted to share with you, nothing more. I thought thats what a community is for ...
to the other 2 posts above, did an alienware config also,M18x R2,sli 680m etc,was more than 800 Euros more for around same config, simply because the SSD are so extremly expensive over there as well as memory.
Secondly,i'm not intending to buy from One.de, was just a hint for the community,i will rather wait for mysn to be honest, they have the best reputation. -
I've been able to spec M18X's, SLI, for about $3000-3200 USD after the advertised discount. Not sure if that is still going. But I'm sure if you called them up and bugged them enough you could get them to haggle on down. If you pay the full "sticker price" on the website, your nuts. lol
I really would like an SLI laptop. The only thing that makes me want a AW over the Sager is just plain options. I like that the AW isn't so locked down. I'm not a huge fan of the look, but I'm not completely hating it either. And when I'm looking for max power, max availability of tuning options is important to me
Definitely going to keep my eye on this thing as the reviews pour out as its released, and I still am hoping that the 270WM will be released and be a viable option - not just some pile of garbage they tossed together. -
-
I'm confused on quick key specs it states 3.5 kg as the weight, but the specifications say 3.9 kg on the eurocom website. Which value is the real one?
-
I will wait for the review on wednesday, then we'll see -
I ordered two notebooks before from them and was pretty pleased with customer support. Once my HDD failed but luckily I still had guarantee, so I sent it in and got it returned w/ a new one + WinVista Ultimate x64 for free at that time.
So nothing bad to say. Their e-mail support can be really misleading sometimes, though. -
If so, I was also there, having the same ordeal as you did and only now went with MySN, instead
Regarding one.de, that's good to hear you had a good experience with them, but after Deviltech I'm not taking my chances with tiny, cheap, companies anymore, nor am I recommending such resellers. Have you went for one.de after you got your money back? -
And I was just about to drop 3800.00 on a sager np9170. Then this has to come out. &%@$! This may be an exotic question, but do you guys think the steelseries keyboard will be offered on this model?
-
Resellers might be able to implement it, yes. -
Its possible, Mythlogic should be the first that comes to mind with the steelseries upgrade.
I just wanna read up the reviews of 370EM before I jump in full-force. I want it to be working perfectly out of the box, just like my current lappy. I hope things go well with this, else this could become the year of fail for clevo in general.
So far, the switchable graphics and the lack of drivers make people's experiences miserable. Not to mention the P270WM mega-fail. -
Most likely you're mistaking me for this other sirana.
Why would I chase them/expect money back if I simply let them pick up the notebook for repairs and get it returned 10 days later? -
Regarding the whole chase thing, I was referring to Deviltech, these guys are a menace. Glad to know that one.de is handling better. -
i was kinda lucky with deviltech, but admittedly, if i were to buy a new machine right now id go with mySN

Mythlogic really is amazing though. Extremely professional. -

I also think the left fan should have clockwise rotation for maximum pressure and airflow at the hottest end of the radiator for better cooling efficiency.
This doesn't look good. Not only is the design and manufacturing quality of Clevos not improving, it actually seems to be deteriorating... -
Don't know about ya guys, but One.de is quite decent, got nothin' against them
MySN.de is fine and all, but don't forget the other reseller with good reputations too

The cpu heatsink has a segment that sits over the left heatsink covering the gap.
-
-
-
well a small one... but that definetly looks better than the earlier pic where the CPU heatsink wasnt there
-
-
One good thing however, is that it looks like that leftmost fan has a gasket around the intake to seal agains the cover intake grill. It's not clear however if the fan has an intake at the bottom as well. If this is the case, then the exhaust recirculation and pressure drop problems remain.
Something doesn't look proportionate between the two pictures for comparison though. From the original picture, it looks like the gap is too small to accomodate the top CPU radiator to be flush with the fan like that. -
we have no idea at what level of testing/design each of those pictures are from.. I wouldn't freak out too much at this point
-
-
Is there anyway that we can mod it like we did via beefstick's forum or the foil tape mod, or hell can we even re-seat the heatsink manually?
Also will the 680Ms being offered in SLI be the 4GB versions or the 2GB ones like in the Alienware m18x? -
Not that I would recommend this, but can those heat pipes be bent to move that back side radiator on the left more inline w/ the fan? It may be a bit more complicated than that as there may be some screws in the way. But curious if Clevo could easily make some kind of correction by physically just putting a couple of bends in the tubing.

We can't speak for other resellers but Eurocom will be shipping the 4GB version of the 680Ms. -
We can confirm it's going to be 4GB on the GTX 680M.
In further news: we'll get a sample of the 7970M in CrossfireX later this month. -
-
-
I have nothing inherently against switchable graphics. Actually I would desire manual switchable to make your laptop at least useable on battery, but none of this Optimus/Enduro crap.
-
So I found a promotional video on youtube for this model.
Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M EUROCOM Scorpius Notebook - YouTube
It shows tear down and all that jazz as well. The music is like that stuff at the beginning of street racing game menus, or like those montage videos of 90s Gangbangs.
Still pretty cool imo. -
I didn't see the official specs from the user manuals posted yet

Nothing.To.Lose Notebook Consultant
This thing is a beast, makes me wish I had got it instead of the P170EM, I configured one on Eurocom, $4300. I could just go with a sing 680M and when the games stop being able to be run on ultra just spend the $800 on the second. Its beautifully made, looks the same thickness as the P170EM. Cooling might be a problem though.
-
Hey guys,
This beast can now also be configured at mysn. mySN.de | XMG XIRIOS XESIA | buy Schenker Notebooks - XMG P722 PRO Gaming Notebook 43,9cm (17.3") A bit more expensive than One.de. I think i can not resist for very long anymore -
Hey, and with similar specs it costs just like the p170em!
Maybe I'll go for that and skip the whole Optimus thing altogether? -
I want power, not power saving hehe
-
Guys, Im gonna wait for i7 3740QM to hit MySN before I order. 100mhz higher is always good to have
I may even end up with 3840qm, depends on my mood
-
Found a review:
Test: Schenker Notebooks XMG P722 - GTX 680M im SLI
Let's see if it's worth it.. -
Since my order is still stuck, I just sent MySN an email that I want to switch to the P722. I hope Optimus is disabled even with one 680M, as the SLI is way too expensive at the moment.
The only problem is that they don't answer my Emails or my phone calls for quite some time now... -
That's odd, normally we answer all phone calls during our business hours (9am to 6pm CET). Please send me a PM with your order number.
-
Message sent. Thank you
-

I was this close to order that beast, but they're expecting it only on the beginning of September, and then I'll have to wait some more until they'll build it and send it and..
Nah, getting rid of Optimus isn't that worth it for me when all is said and done, especially since I only plan on using just one card. Too bad. Someone with better patience then I am better grab that monster and put it to good use -
To be precise (sorry, we are krauts): "beginning of September" is only a random estimate, Clevo has not announced any real shipping date yet. But we assume they've gone into mass production already.
