With BIOS/VBIOS if there are any differences in hardware then it's likely to brick if you cross flash.

 

Not trying to cross flash. Wanted to know if the vBIOS is specific to every card, or can be flash on to any similar card like desktop GPU's.

 

The G-sync cards have minor hardware layout differences, that counts as a hardware difference

Yet again, after waiting patiently for a working download for months, this version is also corrupted on all 3 servers, the data2.cab is the corrupted file! Pathetic!

 

I'm still on old 32. I don't use this software much. Almost never. Nothing of interest.

 

What do you mean by "corrupted"?

 

when you try to extract the *.zip archive, it says data2.cab cannot be extracted because it is corrupted:

Ooops, seems like Clevo has updated the driver versions on the site but not the actual files. thus all files are still the old ones. I will reupload them once Clevo uploads the new ones.

nope, seems like the person handling the version numbers and the actual files are 2 diff. people. So the first person updated the driver versions while the second one is having a nap in the la la land

 

ah, well I have access to some clevo drivers and bioses and firmware's but I'm given a special privilege to have them and can not always link them, as they do not belong to me. If ever, if I can, I MIGHT be able to help in the future, though not really sure how up to date what I have access too would be in relation, to be honest :S

If you have a newer one from this year that would be newer then ours.

yeah checked again, september last year... and I'm seeing realtek not creative.

which if it's a realtek rebrand then you can probably get the latest realtek drivers.

I've checked many other models on clevo website and none has v5.0001.0.50, always got an older version except for the N550RN Series: they state v5.0001.0.49 is available, though I got v5.0001.0.44 uncorrupted! Still the newest I found...haven't tested it yet, if you're interested I can upload it on mediafire so you can add it to the main mirror

Ahaha yes I did! Just got confused at your conversation with woodzstack where you were talking about clevo showing an x version and allowing you to download a y older version (which is basically what happened to me the last few days )...so I thought there was a problem with the version you downloaded, nevermind xD

found it from the P750DM download page, but since this a general Intel driver, we can also install it on the P870DM-G as the Clevo Drivers clowns team seems to give more attention / driver updates to all laptops BUT the flagship. Pure Taiwanese classical swiss cheese.

They still didn't fix the file downloads for the P870DM where you would see version B for example, but the actual downloaded file is a 5 months old version A

They changed the version numbers on the downloads page but not the actual files. Pure unprofessionalism.

I'd stick to the ones from Clevo for this as they are sure to be the ones for our laptops.

Secondly, don't expect any performance enhancements from the MEI driver so don't worry about not having the latest and greatest. The important thing is to have your Graphics Card and IRST Drivers up to date.

 

Maybe @Mr. Fox or @Prema can come into this Q.

 

I agree with that, but there are so many IME drivers that I'd rather not blindly update to the latest. Some are for Compute Stick, some are for NUC, and some are for normal computers. That's why to cut down the doubts, I chose the latest one from Clevo in this case.
