yes I remember Mr. Fox telling me this, but I am confused with all these new drivers for NUC, I think I should not install those. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You can use the new IMEI drivers from those links I posted. Use the consumer version.

Spark of Life, from @Phoenix :)

Also, for you, we figured out why I don't get micro-stutter in SLI games... here:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...n-owners-lounge.769092/page-729#post-10270038

    My response:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...n-owners-lounge.769092/page-730#post-10270163

Now you could get an SLI rig next time, limit FPS to Refresh (essentially stopping runaway FPS due to beefy SLI performance enhancement).

    Intel Thunderbolt Firmware Update v18:

Prerequisite: Make sure you have the Clevo Control Center installed

Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk, I am not responsible if you mess your laptop although I have done it successfully on mine.

Note: I recommend we wait till @Prema confirms this does not conflict in any way with the Prema BIOS for those who are using the Prema BIOS.

    1) Download the P870DM Thunderbolt update

    2) Extract the contents

    3) Copy the extracted folder to C:\ or D:\ drive

    4) Rename it to something easy like I renamed it to a folder called tt in my case

    5) Disable your Antivirus or security suite

    6) Launch Command Prompt as Admin

    7) Type cd\ to go back to the root of C:

    8) Type D: to go to the root of D:

    9) type cd tt to enter the tt folder (or whatever name you renamed that folder to)

    10) Type cd ControllerForcePower then hit enter

    11) Type ControllerForcePower.exe 1 then hit enter

    12) From the folder that you extracted, navigate to the following folder: FwUpdateTool

    13) Run the FwUpdateTool.exe by right clicking on it and choosing RUN AS ADMIN

    14) Follow the below illustrations to complete the firmware update:

@bloodhawk hate to ruin this for you (if it was acting as a placebo) but the Intel chipset "software" doesn't actually do anything other than remove the yellow bangs from device manager. Upgrading has the net effect of nothing on performance. If you open up one of the inf's it says "Assigns the null driver to devices for yellow-bang removal and brands Intel(R) devices"

Eh what acting as placebo for what?
Never said or felt the chipset stuff doing anything. Just need it for something else that whines if its not there, or as you put it, the device manage has a lot of unassigned stuff. (which it does for me actually)

@bloodhawk acting as a placebo in that installing it would make your computer perform better. It doesn't contain any drivers.

OK, im lost here. What are you actually trying to say.. and why to me? I never said they give any performance advantage or what not.
I know it doesn't do anything to the performance, and i am NOT installing them to gain performance.

Anyways, removed "Chipset" from that post, hope that prevents you from getting triggered.

    @EmberV

While they are not real drivers as you mentioned, sometimes they include some bug fixes: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/20775/eng/ReleaseNotes 10.1.1.14.htm

There must be a valid reason why every manufacturer includes them in their drivers list and they are usually the #1 thing to be installed before proceeding.

Also, why would one want to have improperly unidentified hardware in his device manager is beyond me. If not for anything, I'd install them just for that.

Noone in this thread said anything about them giving any performance enhancements ;)

Well, the Clevo Control Center effing up my services issue is still there.
Whenever the CC is installed, if i want to update any of my License server executable, i cannot delete/uninstall/move/replace them. Even though the respective service(s) they are related to are not even running.

Didn't get a single issue with these new drivers, GPU clock speeds while idle are perfectly fine. Keyboard LED lights stick to RED which is what I chose even while rebooting. All perfect.

Yeah TB3 issue seems to be fixed. But the GPU P0 state issue is still there now. Not sure what's up.
Which drivers are you on btw.? Direct from NVIDIA or modded?

I edited my post btw. you can fix your quote.

I don't typically even install Clevo Control Center. I tried the new .73 version and it seemed OK. But, I uninstalled it after a couple of days. It did keep my keypboard white, so that's a plus. Unfortunately, it reverted to blue after I removed it. Wish we could program the keyboards to stay a permanent default color at the firmware level until manually changed/reprogrammed to a different default color.

One of the reasons I do not like Control Center is it messes with my power profiles randomly and when benching if my GPU drivers TDR I have to either disable/re-enable the GPU(s) in Device Manager or reboot. Without Control Center installed my FN+1 selection survives a reboot and the fans stay maxed out until I power off the computer or press FN+1 again to restore automatic fan operation.
