Awesome thread, thankyou, got this thing all set up from nothing in under 90mins. That 700+Mb Nvidia download, WTF. I DL'ed Geforce experience and it only wanted a 350Mb-ish download for latest drivers?

The reason is the Clevo nVIDIA Driver has both the Windows 7 + Windows 19 drivers in one package, thus making the size much bigger. don't blame the messenger ;)

Can you even imagine how many days it took me to download it off the crappy Clevo server? 3 days @ 30KB/S with 10s of disconnects/resumes.

    Thanks for quick reply!
Actually i`m not sure which version, because i think the numbers on my reciept is an internal nr.
But that nr is "P870DM-MFB5". Is there a way to find out this? Registered somewhere in my PC?

It did not work to follow the steps in the link you posted.
I got this error when i tried the method you posted. When i typed in the controllerforcepower command, this came up: "An error occurred while trying to execute the WMI method: Access denied"

So, when i tried to open the FWupdatetool i got this message " No active Thunderbolt controller found in the system or thunderbolt software is not present in the system. Make sure you have Thunderbolt software installed. Then connect Thunderbolt device and press OK to retry or press Cancel to abort firmware update process".

The ones in the OP are more stable. 369.26 that is by Clevo/nVIDIA

Always use DDU to uninstall the old driver completely

Easy to rule out Nvidia drivers. Try another one. But we talk about the Beta OS from the Redmond Morons. I think you have the answer :)

I just had to uninstall the killer software for the 1535 in this thing as it was killing WiFi if I took it off High Performance (the windoze power profile) or unplugged it. Would just refuse to connect to anything even after I set all the driver settings that I could to no power saving/max performance options (through device manager)

Apparently it's a widespread thing with AW owners too so maybe update the OP with a warning that the Killer SOFTWARE (not the driver) can cause instability and/or complete uselessness when engaging any kind of power saving mode setting or unplugging the AC adapter

In case anyone else actually did that :)

That is exactly why in the drivers section, you don't find a link to the Killer Software Suite.

If anyone used only the drivers listed here, they will ensure to have a bug free experience ;)

It is, it's in the spoiler tag next to the driver, "- Killer WLAN Driver v12.0.0.279/ BT v10.0.0.279 / Killer Suite v1.1.65.1752 "
I just looked in my downloads folder and the file says v1.1.64.1737... must have been updated since I DLed it. Anyway I'm not re installing it unless a need arises. All I'm suggesting is mark it optional or with a warning for noobs (like me lol) about potential issues

Hi again! I eventually managed to update both the TB Firmware and software by following the guides in this thread. But my TB3-TB2 adapter still not work, "Don`t recognize USB unit".
Here`s a screen of my TB details ( see attached image).
What is "PD firmware version"? I noticed that in the examples, it is a newer verson then i have.
Does the other information look correct?
Does updating the BIOS has anything to do with getting this to work?

I also added a screen shot from my device manager, does the driver info seem correct there?

Hi all I've been having some issues with my laptop recently (P870DM-g) and was just wondering , should I be using the drivers in this thread as opposed to the latest ones from Nvidias website?

    And if so why?

The ones I am currently using are the 375.86 ones but I'm experiencing much lower fps than I should be for having 2 x 980m's

stick to drivers in this thread as Clevo and I test them.

The latest drivers cause low FPS and a user with a GTX 1060 reported that they fried his GPU

Yeah I'm doing that now, it just sucks because I have 1 game that performs REALLY WELL under the clevo tested drivers (Star Citizen Alpha 2.5) and yes I'm aware it's early alpha and will no doubt be optimized with later drivers, and a few games that run much better with the Nvidia latest drivers.

Such a shame that Clevo can't test and work with NVIDIA to make sure of full compatibility with the latest drivers on these beastly machines.

Tested, this one is safe bro, use DDU to remove the old driver in safe mode then install the new one using CUSTOM Settings not Typical, then uncheck the 3D Vision Driver and tick on the CLEAN INSTLLATION box below:

Warning: If you have a Windows password or PIN to login, disable that otherwise you will be locked in Safe Mode and the PIN/Password would not work.

Nvidia can't have a bunch of OEM's running down their doors when they *crippling* develope the drivers. The problem is Nvidia. Not the OEM's

So heres something interesting. It seems I had a process running in task manager taking up 20-30% of my CPU power constantly called "Installshield update service scheduler" located in \AppData\Local\TileDataLayer\ISSCH......

/i have no idea what was/is causing this but AS SOON as I stopped it the issue I was having with one particular game (Football Manager 2017) was gone. No more lagging in the 3d match engine and no more lagging in chrome at all.

Really strange. Now just need to test with the latest Nvidia driver.

I´m about to finish a software where you can select your CLEVO model and install / update drivers.
So if you want to join in and update the drivers in my server i can make a NBR version of this software.

    Features:

    Options Tab - Done
    Select your model
    Select your Wifi Card
Choose to keep a local copy of last installed driver - usefull if you keep the software in a USB pen or a secundary HDD, then if you reinstall Windows your drivers are still there ready to install

    Drivers Tab - Done
    -ONE CLICK Section

Download All Latest with a press of a single button
Click One Click Install and sit back and relax
    -ONE BY ONE Section
List of all drivers for your model,
    show last installed version,
    update warning/action if there´s a update

    BIOS Tab
Will try to make a safe way to flash BIOS and EC in Windows - BIOS part is done, EC not yet!

    Tweaks Tab - Done
    Stuff like, disable fast boot
    Disable P2P Windows Update
    Disable PC Beep

Hi guys I';m having HUGE isuues with my p870dm laptpops wifi card (currently have the killer one) , seriously considering buying and installing the intel 8260 one right now. I've tried everything i can think of barring reformatting the entire OS drive which I really don't want to do. Tried using the latest killer drivers from the website with and without the suite, tried removing all the drivers and only using the ones provided on here and installing them manually using device manager, nothing works.

I have narrowed my issue down to being whenever the Killer card is put under heavy data load it just switches to no internet then stops transmission entirely. My Ethernet functions perfectly.

Please read this thread: Just upgraded to an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265

Killer WLAN in my experience was and still is the buggiest junk out there. Great hardware spoiled by crappy drivers

don't get the Intel 8260, get the 8265 which supports MU-MIMO, has better wifi range, and is an overall superior product for 30 bucks

also see: The Killer AC1535 has an issue where if you are downloading a few files and basically put the card under heavy load, it simply disables itself from device manager and thus, disconnecting you temporarily. I was experiencing the same issue myself and when I googled it, I found this: http://en.community.dell.com/owners-club/alienware/f/3746/t/19658353
