Tomorrow i will try to add some DPI DPI Awareness. Hopefully it will fix the scaling.

Done ;) thanks for the heads up ;)

About the App you can use in-app updater to update the app to 1.00.25

    Or download HERE: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9I1SxJWXOp1QXBlX19EaVNSamM

    New in 1.00.25:

-Hopefully Scaling in Windows is now acceptable (probably not perfect) please report

-Added a step in Control Center driver. Before installing it will first check if there´s any version installed, if so, it will trigger uninstall first and ask for a reboot, then you can re-open the app and install it. This is a necessary step for Control Center. I´m not sure if this is necessary in other driver, i will try them, please report if you know any other driver that should be uninstalled & reboot before updating.

Just ran it, it says select your WiFi, well, I upgraded my Intel 8260 to the Intel 8265, the driver is the same actually, so is it for the previous 7260. Can you please rename that to simply, Intel Wifi OR Intel 8260/8265 ?

Also, it is not detecting my currently installed drivers although they are all up to date:

Finally, the LAN version it shows is not the actual LAN Driver, that is the Killer Suite version

The latest E2400 LAN Driver is: K iller 2400 LAN Drivers v9.0.0.42

I suggest if we can give the user the option to install the suite or the driver only

Thanks in advance for this great tool

Next release will have the Intel AC 8265 added.
I will also offer the option to install full package or only driver for Killer.

About the app driver detection version, it´s not ACTUALLY detecting "YET" it just stores the last version you installed USING THE APP :p

I just managed to generate a full windows drivers version report, FINALLY, so i will soon be able to ACTUALLY check the drivers installed in the system!

from my personal experience, Kyronaut was the worst thermal paste I ever tried. LCU between the CPU Die and the IHS is best and IC Diamond between the IHS and Heatsink provides the best coverage for those who didn't get a perfect heatsink. Otherwise LCU can also be applied between the IHS and the heatsink. Just my 2 cents worth

I´m trying all possible combination for myself.
If you fix the gap with copper then Kryonaut seems to work better, if you have gap then IC Diamond works better.
I will post results as soon as we finish all possible combinations, doing all test two times to be sure.

    BTW another update.

    New in 1.00.27:

-Fixed Control Center uninstall, verify if both control center is installed and if the install package is present so it can use it to uninstall it.

-Renamed Wifi to please the Phoenix

-Added a "pending install" state to driver so you can resume install after rebooting for a "uninstall first" state, which for now applies only to control center.

Official package download moved to DOWNLOAD Section of our website:

    Drivers app updated!

    New in 1.00.28:

    -Control Center steps (uninstall/reboot/install) improved.

-Control Center packages for all models now have the XTU service disabled by default.

-Control Center ini file now includes the correct version even though the control center software reports it bad... we will use this value to detect your installed version in the future.

    Official package download:
    https://www.obsidian-pc.com/en/downloads?___from_store=pt#files/OBSIDIAN TOOL

Codding a installed version detection section that will collect values, like i stated before at the moment the app only stores the installed version that you install using the app!

    Good that you mention it.
In a post from me I had already described the problem.
If you have an older Windows 10 DVD - then you have to upgrade to the appropriate build.
Then the Nvidia driver can be installed neatly and the GPU is recognized.

BIG BIG Update in the OBSIDIAN-TOOLS APP!!!

It will now detect your drivers even if you Never used the app!

    New system:
On app start it will use driverview to generate a full list of all drivers installed in your unit.
And now it compares those with the ones in our server!

Drivers Version based on .sys file:
For improved accuracy we no longer rely on package version BUT on the driver .sys file version.
    EXAMPLE:
NVIDIA package 376.33 actually uses driver 21.21.13.7633

Check your drivers is easy now:
Imagine @Phoenix just found a new driver version, he can now install it, run the OBSIDIAN TOOL app and check the "Installed Version" for the driver he installed (usually after a restart). That is the driver version he should report here. "Guys new IME available for download, installed it and it is version XXX.XXX.XXX"
If this version is more recent than the one in our server i´ll update it for everyone!

Drivers that are impossible to track with driverview:
Not many, we found out that only Intel Chipset, Fingerprint for P7 and P8 and Thunderbolt are not possible to track. I may be mistaken if you find the running .sys for those let me know!
The app does have a backup system for this, it will store the last one you installed using the app so you can keep a track of it ;) (this was the old system which is still useful for this drivers).

    Modded Control Center
All our Control Center are modded, it now does not have the pesky XTU service, if you want to OC, UV, you SHOULD use Throttlestop, modded oem.ini also allows for APP to read version from the hotkey directory. I recommend EVERYONE to re-install controlcenter using the app (FORCE UPDATE).

    Expected Bugs - Please Report
This is a big update in the code, so expect bugs, if you could report stuff like "I updated my driver but the app still reports that the version in the server is more recent", this would be awesome since a lot of drivers versions now use the .sys version i might have missed some version changes in the server (not the actual packages but the version text only so no trouble to you).

Use the in app updater or download latest from here: https://www.obsidian-pc.com/en/downloads?___from_store=pt#files/OBSIDIAN TOOL

Realtek S5250 Card Reader Driver updated to v10.0.10586.21291 (when I say driver updated, pls check the OP for the new link)

On a side note, check the Control Center Driver reported, the number is wrong as I have that same version reported on the right

Also check the Synaptics Driver bro, mine is newer

Finally, Fingerprint Driver is not detected although that's what I have installed

Edit: Thunderbolt Driver also not detected

That Card Reader version should not be "new" or they are naming versions wrong lol.
10.0.14393.21292 should be newer than 10.0.10586.2191
I´ve updated to keep the app in sync with your versions but still it makes no sense :(

For Control Center to start showing up the correct version you should re-install using the app, then you will start using my modded version and the version will also display correct.

I have not found a way to get Thunderbolt version, Chipset version or Fingerprint for P8. If you already have the latest just click "install" and cancell install, it will store the latest version in the app and wont report more updates on those untill there is ACTUALLY one.

I´m off to develop a tab for OC now, something really easy for noobs :p, Multipliers and Voltage Offset only for now, i need since i disable the CC OC section.

ive got an idea for this awesome app: how about a "feedback tab" where you can manually input a newer driver version and also greenlight it for a specific machine? that way you can basically let the users point you guys towards new driver versions, or even better: let them upload newer versions to your server directly! could save you guys a ton of work :)

It is a great idea, BUT a lot of code!!!! :O The stupid thing is that for me it would be easy to do it in php sql (web), BUT hard to do it in QT... yeah i am still a noob in QT.
The most easy way i can think of is just do a tab with a browser, make it look integrated when in reality it´s just opening a remote address.

And then there´s the missing tabs that i want to finish:
    BIOS Update
    Windows Performance Tune
Hardware OC/UV -> but to be honest i find this one a waste of time since Throttlestop is already SO good! Then i would only do this if there was no need to use XTU service, which leaves me with the undocumented WinRing0 library....

My intention is for the un-experienced users to have a easy way to do the basics:
    - If you have a 6700K then you should start @ -100mv Core Offset, this is almost a rule of thumb.
So i need basic controls for Set Cores Max, set voltage offset + cache voltage offset and maybe power package limits.

Because being a store owner i feel bad for the current situation, to me it´s almost un-ethical, we are selling a laptop that will throttle the 6700K unless you undervolt it! Any current model with this CPU will throttle no matter what brand you get.
Is this bad? Not really, because it´s very easy to actually undervolt it and even get room for OC. BUT the client should not have the obligation to know this and to do this. Solution? Well we can send the laptops with the values pre-tuned in the BIOS but if the client does a NVRAM reset or flashes a new BIOS version, pufff they are gone.

So i do feel like i have the obligation to solve this, and the best way i can think of is like adding a safe start values that you can apply with one click.
Something like, you select your model, or the app can even detect the model and cpu, and give a basic starting point based on the value we usually insert in our clients unit (around -100mv to -125mv). For the client who wants something more just go for ThrottleStop and have fun.

The CC OC app would actually be the perfect simple app, was it not for reported problems (which i actually never noticed to be honest). And keeping a service running in the background for this is something that i also don´t like. Maybe next versions of this app will work better.

At the moment we are at a new stage of testing, we are actually soldering additional copper in the cooling system to fix the gaps, using delidded cpus with liquid metal and sealed for no spilling. So we expect to be safe at less than -100mv. Will post about this when all testing is done.

@Phoenix can you post Lastest Killer Lan setup files (the one JUST for LAN and without the Killer Suite)? Also the same for BT and WIFI, i can´t find the those in single packages :(

    Thanks @EmberV

Btw does anyone knows how to use a hardware access library like WinRing0 under QT.
I would really like to add model specific basic CPU tweaks but I'm having a hard time doing this.

@John@OBSIDIAN-PC well isn't QT just your GUI library and you are writing all the other code in C++? I would look at the WinRing0 C++ examples and see how you can update your QT GUI based on the output.

EDIT: To expand upon this, I don't really know how experienced with coding you are. I think the best thing to do when trying to work on new functionality is to make a brand new blank project, one that is just like a console project so you don't even have to worry about a GUI or QT or any other library clouding your mind, and just try to get very basic functionality working. In this case, make a console project that just does whatever you are trying to do with WinRing0 and that's it. Once that is working, I would then integrate that with your GUI.

All Vendors/Resellers of Clevo machines should put more pressure on Clevo... So they can fix up the download speed mess. The servers Clevo use today isn't exactly 2017/18 standard :)

it is 1999 standards, other than the slow download speed, it keeps disconnecting, thank God I have a download manager to resume, but I have to switch to a different IP Address using my VPN, they seem to put like a 2 min cap on the download then it disconnects you until you try downloading again from a new IP

I can´t find this version in CLEVO website?
Can you please check if it is also available for P751DM2-G and P775DM3-G ?
Control Center should be the same for those 3 models ( P751DM2/P775DM3/P870DM3).

    Crazy CLEVO.
Well the app is updated and the drivers in our app server are updated!
Only Killer stuff need one update, but im doing something different for those so it make take a while!
For some strange reason our clients decided this: "Well let´s completly mess with the guys at OBSIDIAN, let´s not buy much untill after Christmas", so after 8 years selling laptops i´m having the strangest month EVER, our december was kinda sucky looking at the sales numbers, but then starting on 27th THIS IS GOING CRAZY! So my time is now very limited to do app stuff, im in my headless chicken running around mode!
