I m pretty sure the bios and vbios for the new machines does not exist yet?

 

BIOS now available for the P870DM3 only, the other machines will follow soon, so will the VBIOS

 

Since you purchased a Sager, the Prema BIOS and vBIOS will not be available to you through normal channels. As a condition of receiving PremaMod firmware, sharing it with others is strictly prohibited. I believe the PremaMod partner shops are applying the firmware to reduce the opportunities for customers to violate the provisions of their agreement by sharing. If they don't have possession of the files, they won't be tempted to do that. So, there won't be a legitimate pathway out of firmware hell for Clevo/Sager owners that purchased a system from a non-Prema shop. Hopefully, nobody in this community would stoop so low as to beg people that went through proper channels to breach their agreement. The only honorable and acceptable way would be for them to go directly to @Prema with their request for an exception.

 

My post was just indicating that the machine is now old (new generation is now out) and the bios that was promised to customers isn't available. Also quite frankly there are always ways to get the bios and vbios like buying another machine. It's just humorous that it was never released as a production machine and so many people paid extra for it.

It is all about honor and respect, and following through with your agreements. Sharing it without the author's permission violates those things.

When I buy a car, piece of equipment, etc. I hold no agreement towards the previous owner except for giving them cash. Lol you guys aren't a occult.

 

Read the "Read Me" file, and if you ever acquire it properly, you will receive additional instructions from the author that it is not to be shared. But, if the PremaMod partner shops are flashing it and not giving the files to their customers then there isn't much need for gentlemen's agreements. They (customers) don't have any files available to share or make available to people that should not have them.

 

Please refer to the updated post. This might solve what you are saying. No read me is provided aftermarket?

 

There is no "aftermarket" for Prema firmware. You either get it directly from Prema or from a PremaMod Partner Shop. Any other distribution channel is inappropriate and violates the conditions under which the firmware is provided. Unfortunately, those mitigation steps are necessary due to dishonest people that like to steal the work of others, reverse engineer it, replace the author's name and sell it as their own handiwork.

You and I both know you sold your machine with the bios on it? Lmao. It's software. Are you really serious that you can't get it! You gave yours away! Lol

 

Mr. Fox has even asked my permission before he sold it, as it was a very personal and customized version. Did he have to do that by law? Was he forced by a written agreement to do so?
NO, he did it because he is a good person, a friend and his moral compass is intact.

Side-note: BIOS has been out for a while, so it's strange to see a non-partner-customer complaining in public about it's availability to actual customers...

 

@Prema, btw how does the whole remote flashing work? Are the files ever on the customers computer?

It's good to see this type of implementation so the BIOS isn't shared without permission.

 

Thanks for mentioning that. I forgot to address that inaccurate comment. It is and was available to the people entitled to it, and has been for a long time.

If you don't purchase your machine through a Prema Partner, you won't get the Prema BIOS. PERIOD.

 

Waiting on it to show since partners have been charging premiums for a long time "promising it would be available". Seeing when and if I should buy someone's machine. Since the new models are out.

Files are stored on the bios! XD they are always on the computer. Also if and when you flash it they are stored in your HDD or SSD unless you do a secure remote wipe and burn the OS. XD Writing and rewriting the HDD or SSD until the images and everything else on it is corrupted.

 

@Hackintoshihope... We already covered this a while back and you were made aware at that time of the situation of the Prema BIOS only being available from Prema partners, and will not have a public release. Yet here we are again.

If you were "promised" a BIOS update for your Sager, you should take it up with the person or entity who made you that promise. For the general public, the only promise made is what would only be available from the Prema Partnership's reseller of your laptop's make. However, all is not lost in regards to overclocking... Without it, there is always the fallback of ThrottleStop or XTU.

Now, if you purchase from second hand, then yes, like you mentioned, perhaps buy it from someone who purchased from a Prema Partner, and make sure you specify the laptop come with the latest Premamod BIOS they were entitled to. The current owner should be able to do at least that for a potential buyer.

In regards to a system BIOS installations, there are no files left behind on any system as the installation is via remote access. I do not know if there is a EULA, but if so, those do apply. Just as when Windows comes installers on a HDD is non-transferrable, I take it the same applies to a Prema System BIOS. If an end user is gaining access to the BIOS files, they may be doing so using unscrupulous methods violating the spirit of the Prema Partnership agreement.

 

For the history books, most partner shops don't charge anything extra for the mods.
Those who do, mainly do so in order to cover their own in-house warranty in case of hardware problems and shipping costs and for future firmware which may require hardware access...
I might want to add that I have made personal versions on various occasions for many honest members of the community, which for various reasons where unable to purchase their hardware from a partner-shop, as well as a 'thank you' to all the supporters who made it possible for me to join the P870DM3 ranks myself.

Well Im saying thank you again to @Phoenix for keeping the drivers updated and available for download.

Quick question do we uninstall the previous driver version before installing the new driver?

 

It is a good rule of thumb. Not all software / drivers that remove relics from the previous installation.

 

Intel Thunderbolt is linking to a Intel Bluetooth driver.

Not CCC definitely. Touchpad you can test though if it doesn't act strange then all good

Almost all code was re-written and improved.
Faster functions!
FINALLY -> It can look at windows registry to check SBX XFI installed version.
FINALLY ->It can now check the Thunderbolt driver installed by looking at the driver .inf file.

Most of the UI might look the same, but it uses new code and includes new options:
-Start with windows
-Start Minimized
-Now uses system tray icon instead of taskbar
-You can now activate notifications for updates(uses windows notification system) - feature will be improved
-You can now set a timer to check for updates every X time

The all "Version Check" system was improved both on the client side and server side, which among other things reduces the chance of error and allows me to add a new model under 5 minutes

Brother Phoenix, you are now using a MSI right? I was thinking about adding a "NOT LISTED" model which might include all latest versions, and this way it can be used on most laptops. Whatcha think?

A lot of the changes that are done under this version is to open way for new features (actually they are already there but hidden), so future updates will come faster and with new great features.

I still need to add some useful stuff like MS Runtimes / DirectX, etc.

Maybe you should create a new thread for this so the tool can get some extra visibility.

 

I think there´s a rule somewhere that says that Company Representatives can not start threads.

 

I'd ask @Charles P. Jefferies if an exception can be made because this is a piece of software that you created, which can benefit any Sager/Clevo owner. The worst he can say is no.

I just checked Clevo's site and the new CCC is up. Control center AP (5.0001.1.01) for Windows 10 64-bit. Has anyone tested it yet? Should I modify the config file to =0 on the XTU fan table?

Not yet, above are the worst possible ext. speakers (sounds OK now) until I get my speakers back...I still need to correct the internal speakers.

 

I too am looking for links if at all possible. Also what are your settings for Soundblaster and or overall settings for internal speakers? I cam from MSI and their system was less intensive. I prefer this system better, but having a tough time getting the right balance. Would appreciate anything to try out. My only issue is that some sounds drown others out or sound lowers itself and then raises. annoys me.

 

Uninstall both SB & Realtek audio drivers -> reboot

Download Realtek_hdxmb3h.inf_8010

Spoiler: instructions

1- Install certificate: Right click RltkAPO64.dll (Modded_RltkAPO_8010) -> Details -> view certificate -> install certificate -> Select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities".



Finally, verify signature RltkAPO64.dll (right clcik).

2- Install Audio drivers using "Have Disk" method -> Browse Realtek_8010\Realtek_hdxmb3h.inf_8010\hdxmb3h.inf



3- Kill Audio service.
cmd (Admin)

net stop audiosrv

Now copy modded RltkAPO64.dll to C:\Windows\System32.

-> reboot

4- Disable Power management. Sound issues like crackling sound etc.





5- Install Bitsum's Park Control Free https://bitsum.com/files/parkcontrolsetup64.exe

Set "Bitsum Highest Performance" run it as a task...preferably after ThrottleStop (Timer Resolution 1 ms)
