We are expecting a small quantity of backlit Italian keyboards with the next shipment this month. You can go ahead and order right now by putting your desire for the Italian keyboard in the little text box called "Anmerkungen". :)

/edit: we now added the Italian keyboards to the shop.

No, it's very good reseller for Russia (and other country from Soviet Union). For example, none of the laptop had no problems with video card 7970m, unlike other reseller. And they have service in Moscow, if some problem, people call to service, and ship laptop for them.

    Hi guys,

Since I've been away for a while and I need to contact a few resellers to see how their pricing stands... bottom line being that I am very likely to buy a new notebook.
I was looking at the following:
    mySN.de
    NEXOC.de
    Bluemobility.pl
    PWNPCS.co.uk

Problem is, I want the 67% gamut matte screen and only PWNPCs has it, although I could just upgrade letter on.
Any other resellers I should be looking at?

    Hi Blacky
why not look at mySN UK | XMG | by Schenker Notebooks which now has a UK office.
they can source other screens but just dont advertise them on their page.
tbh im glad they dont as i went for the standard matte screen and its bloody brilliant. vibrant and crisp colours i honestly cant see how the 67/72/95% screens can get any better.

Looks like PwnPC won't be able to help me since they are not a VAT paying enterprise. Shame, they were really nice.
    mysn.de has been silent
    one.de has been silent
    Bluemobility has been silent
Nexoc.de answered me with a rather good offer.
I have one more reseller who replied and I'll see how their offer fairs.

Thanx, I got back from bluemobility. They have good pricing but...
So far from the offer I got from all resellers, it seems significantly cheaper to buy a barebone and buy the rest of components myself (HDD, ODD, memory, etc.).

    Hi Blacky,
we got you e-mail. I'm sorry we haven't been able to answer it today. Let me give you a quick preliminary reply:
#1 payment without VAT is no problem for us. Your VAT number (sent by mail) seems to check out fine.
#2 offering GAMUT displays is still in review...
#3 are you sure about the 1866 Mhz RAM?
#4 we are considering adding the WD7500BPKT to our portfolio. :)

    Cheers! (preliminary)

    Hei mysn,

    1. That's great.
    2. Ok, I'll be waiting.
    3. I am pretty sure, but if you don't have them that's fine, I can get them rather cheap where I am now.
    4. It's a great HDD. Again, if you don't have it, that's fine, I can buy it separately.

    Hey,

Actually, I'm also very interested in buying a Clevo, I've been searching for resellers all days. I am in Spain now, any suggestions which one has more attractive prices? I was looking at pcspecialists (want an upgraded sound card) and mysn. I'm not too fond of the local spanish ones.

    Any recommandation would be great.

    Hi all, first post :)

This is very strange. I have to say that, although it seems they are good guys and seem helpful to members on here, I was put off of PWN PCS - Custom Built Performance and Gaming Laptops for a couple of small reasons but one large one (been researching for a few weeks).

I just found out (after asking Sager about warranty terms as pwnpcs says that they sell Sager laptops and have teamed up with Sager and Clevo to bring Sager notebooks to the UK) that pwnpcs have signed up to be a Sager reseller but thus far have purchased no notebooks or barebones from Sager. They buy the chassis from somewhere else. I was directed to contact pwnpcs by phone to find out more! This to me shouts out clear false advertising and selling on their website as they sell laptops as "Sager *****/Clevo *****" brand. They obviously haven't teamed up with Sager or Clevo to bring Sager notebooks to the UK as their website says, they have just been trading on the Sager name for however long and reselling laptops from somewhere else.

Sager emailed this information to me freely (and replied in 5 minutes to my email) so I don't hold any confusion at their door.

If they aren't VAT registered then that is really strange. VAT threshold is £77,000 per anum in UK and anyway even if thy aren't selling very much they should be voluntarily registered as it severely limits their selling potential, especially in IT. Unfortunately it tells you a lot about their business acumen, or lack thereof :-/

PC Specialist warranty doesn't cover shipping outside the UK, mysn does. From what I know PC Specialist only really sell to UK customers. I looked at them, pwnpcs and mysn and am verging on mySN UK at the moment. Still weighing up but discounted pwpcs for sure.

Hi robcwalker and welcome to NBR :D

Let me clear you into this, although this isn't my firm and nor is it my duty to help anyone, I just feel like to jump in.

As far as I remember PWNPC's hasn't been a reseller for a whole year, when they started they didn't fulfill the requirements to be VAT registered to be able to sell without VAT, as you yourself mentioned their income was too low = thus now going by the VAT threshold, anyways since you cannot just be VAT registered into oblivion and thus selling to everyone w/o VAT. I'm sure they will be able to do that next year, or whenever one can search to be able to sell w/o VAT. I'm not familiar with UK law, nor EU business law.

And as far as I know they are in corporation with Sager notebooks in the US.
    - Scott from PWNPC's should be able to clear everything up when he chins in ^^

P.S. I am sure they are VAT registered, but that doesn't give one the authority to sell to anyone w/o VAT :D

It doesn't work that way. There is a threshold over which you must be registered for VAT. Below that you can still register, but you are not compelled to do so.

Nothing special expect for the vinyl sticker they've placed so nicely on the machine!

I would have gotten it if they weren't so slow making it available.. it's the same screen (unless you choose a different one glossy or matte)

A gamut screen is a near perfect screen, as wikipedia puts it "converting a digitized image to a different color space" in this case the digitized image comes out amazing the higher the gamut % is, but nonetheless the default screen are beautiful too!
    - I just do some photoshopping and video editing here and there, therefore a higher % gamut screen would be better for me (although it's not worth it for the most part)

I hope I helped! Either way your machine will be fantastic ;)

I think that design is for the Counter Logic one. If you check the gallery of P502 Roccat Edition then its the regular one.. so as you pointed out the mouse + mat + design (?) is the only special thing.

    Hi robcwalker,

Sagers, Vortex, Rocat, XMG, Pollux, Eurocom and all the rest are all Clevo barebones, no matter how they are branded. We label them as Sager/Clevo to avoid confusion even if we do a few little extra things to make them stand out above the rest. We have many channels and partners who we use to keep up a good supply so we don't run out of stock. This also means we can get more, smaller shipments to reduce overheads and move with the market.

Correct we're not VAT registered as yet. It's still a new, small company. Theres nothing illegal or unethical about the way we are running. Things going the way they are it won't be long until we need to get VAT registered. Right now its better to stay unregistered as A) It's slightly more profitable and B) It does cost us some sales therefore throttling the company slightly. There's only 2.5 of us and we want to give as much attention to each customer as possible. Getting big too fast is never good for anyone. We have never aimed to be the biggest laptop company in the UK, just the best!

Before discounting us you should probably go read some threads in the reseller forum or talk to any one of our fans :) (thanks guys!) even just give me an email [email protected] and we can discuss any issues you may have. We've had a lot of very satisfied customers and it would be a shame for you to miss out! Whatever you decide I hope it goes well for you and any technical support you need, just post here and I'm sure we can help clear it up.

    All the best,

    Scott

i would of thought so but still the single 680 is a monster of a card.
i havnt had a chance to configure the new one yet but i think id need a morgage to pay for it and also need some more muscle to carry it.

now comes the hardest bit, the wait. mine took 10 days so wont be too long.
    congrats :D
