Vortex is a model in the PC Specialist range, Pollux is a model in the Mythlogic range; Sager and Eurocom are company names, XMG is the performance model range of mysn in Germany and the UK; Rocat is spelt Roccat and is not a notebook manufacturer, they are a gaming peripheral brand. Just to avoid any confusion.

I can understand why you would label them as “Clevo P150EM” because of the barebones connection. Calling the laptops you sell “Sager NP 9150” is simply miss-selling and there's no way getting round that, it only adds confusion. Let me explain.

If you buy a “Sager” laptop in the US, you either buy it from Sager directly or a Sager reseller. Wherever you buy a “Sager” from it is ultimately built by Sager and the waranty is maintained by Sager. This is why I contacted Sager, I wanted to check that the warranty was with Sager.

If you buy a “Sager” from PWN PCS - Custom Built Performance and Gaming Laptops then you are not buying a laptop built by Sager, nor are you buying a laptop with a warranty maintained by Sager. You aren't even getting a Sager branded barebones chassis. There is simply no connection to Sager at all.

This image http://www.pwnpcs.co.uk/sites/default/files/styles/laptop_homepage/public/9150_headerpic_675M.jpg is what is used on PWN PCS - Custom Built Performance and Gaming Laptops to advertise the “Sager NP 9150 / Clevo P150EM”. It is the same image used here custom gaming laptops - Welcome to Sager Notebooks BUT pwnpcs are NOT selling a Sager laptop. Clear miss advertising.

Also taken from PWN PCS - Custom Built Performance and Gaming Laptops :

“We have partnered with Sager USA and Clevo to bring Sager and Clevo Custom notebooks to the United Kingdom “

You HAVE NOT partnered with Sager and Clevo to bring Sager and Clevo laptops to the UK, you use the Sager brand to attract customers and then source barebones or chassis from multiple companies, none of which are Sager. This is purposefully missleading.

    “What do you do?
We build high end bespoke laptops based on the latest parts from Sager and Clevo.”

NO, you build laptops based on Clevo chassis.

“Due to the Olympics there are delays due to shipping (and a bit of partying!)”

    Really?

    “our PWNed Sagers”

    You mean PWNed Clevos.

I didn't come close to alluding that there was something illegal or unethical about not being voluntarily VAT registered. Having worked in business for 25+ years it's unusual for a company such as yourselves (especially in IT) to not voluntarily register as I would have thought your first years projected sales would be more than £77,000 simply to cover expenses.

Having some good feedback from customers doesn't detract from the fact that you are using the Sager name to con potential customers into thinking you can supply them with a Sager laptop. You base your sales pitch on your website around this lie. This forum is “Sager and Clevo”, even though it deals with many other companies, it's clear why you targeted your models names in the way you have.

This clearly shows that there are many ways in which you are indeed running in an "illegal and unethical" manner.

    My advice - DON'T.

They're awesome. Knowledgeable, no nonsense, nice, polite, friendly, yet straight to the point. Even been really nagging them and they were patient enough with me. I'd say my purchase experience was really top notch.

Send a private message to mySN.de user here, that's the most efficient way of getting a response from them, I think.

I don't see any live chat and i have some very specific requirements, especially in regard how the invoice wants to look like.
I can't work with someone that refuses to communicate.

Are you talking about mySN.co.uk or mySN.de ?

UK one has got a live chat system. He is live today .. last couple of days it was offline.

    live_chat_scr.JPG

and even if he is offline, you can still leave a message and they will get back to you in couple of hours.

He doesn't need mySN.co.uk as he is not in UK, even though they sell to the whole world.

mySN.de sells cheaper, thus he needs to contact them :p slight confusion

    Confused now!

Blacky said he couldn't order from pwnpcs because they aren't registered for tax but they are in the UK. So ordring from the UK wasn't a problem, that's why I suggested the mysn uk site.

As far as I can see both the mysn websites have the same pricing.

What do you wish to know sppecifcaly?

I can vouch for RGE and Mountain, one PT and on ES, although mountain is a bit more expensive.

There are other as you have seen, i think the best thing you can do is contact them, that's the only way you'll know for sure.

Aceryl, thanx for the the feedback.. :)
Actually I'm purchasing a clevo from a seller of another EU country but I (and one of my friends who have not still placed any order) noticed some interesting proposals from Portuguese and Spanish clevo resellers..
You hit it  : RGE seems the perfect candidate thanks to its prices and some uncommon features as the 95% gamut display .. Unfortunately I could not find any feedbacks or ratings from buyers of this seller on the web  (it's especially this 'reputational' side missing link that was worrying me).

But if a NBR mate vouch for it that's give me peace of mind :D.

I or my friend will try soon to contact RGE.

To buy In Portugal buy from inforphone :D
Already recommended 25 people to them and not even a single negative feedback. Rge doesn't have a physical store in here and neither clevocenter. Go for inforphone and you will thank me afterwards for my advice. Inforphone is the only Clevo reseller that has a certified laboratory for Clevo!

Physical stores are so "relevant", for international purchases Zylor....
A customer from a foreign country will spend a ticket, to go to another country, and buy directly, a laptop from the store....
    I'm guessing no

Theres no negative feedback that you know of, i can give you some if you want.

    Including some really noobish mistakes.
    And more, about delays.

So i would be careful, with those recommendations, and suggest to get your facts straight, not to spread false info.

Thank you again jaug1337 for the awsome work you have been doing so far.

Just pipiing in with a bit of first hand very positive feedback on my recent purchase from mysn.co.uk

I was looking to pick up a new machine at short notice before a lengthy business trip abroad as missing the Borderlands2 & Guildwars2 launches wasnt an option for me ;) , I linked out to a couple of the UK resellers via this very thread (its been a while since my last Clevo!) and the mysn site had the spec and pricing options that suited me best.

I email through explaining I needed the machine at reasonably short notice - they went off, checked availability (the machines are made in the XMG depot in Germany and courier dropshipped) and helped me get the order pushed through super fast.

I had a minor issue with the panel on the laptop on arrival - but Andrew @ mysn sorted out courier pickup next day, and had it replaced and back out to me before I flew out a few days later.

Overall, couldnt be happier with the experience, I've had hassle in the past with Gaming laptop suppliers not standing behind thier machines (I'm looking at you Novatech...) - not only does the laptop look and run fantastically (the same machine from another supplier would be the same in this regard), but much more important to me was that the pre and aftersales service was top notch - light years ahead of the experiences I've had in the past.

I guess thats what sets a vendor apart from the crowd and keeps customers coming back, lets face it, gaming laptops ain't cheap and having problems can cause a lot of heartache - so after my support experience I can definately recommend mysn/XMG to UK buyers.

    #Phil

Thanks Wonderdog for sharing your very positive experience with mySN UK. I've been "ploughing through" this forum (and all the web) for about 2 months to find the best replacement for my 6-year-old laptop. Now I know what it's gonna be - CLEVO P150EM (real "quantum leap" from 1 core to 4 :). The question at the moment is WHERE. I live in UK, so I'm considering British resellers. 'Cos I'm Polish I checked Polish one as well -Bluemobility (they offer for example gaming HD+ screens and new Intel Core i7-3740Q and i7-3840QM CPUs for my CLEVO). All of them have some parts I want, but none of them doesn't seem to have a "full house".
Your feedback kindda reassured me which reseller I'll probably choose (I've kept my eye on mySN UK for quite a while anyway :)

Have a lot of fun with your machine!

Wonderdog, I've got one question. I haven't enough posts to pm you, so I'll ask here. It seems that only payment option at mySN UK is that Google Wallet. It's a new service here in Europe I suppose. So was it easy to use it and pay? Personally I'm not sure if I want to give even more of my personal data to Google. They have a lot of it already (for our own good and convenience ;-)

i can answer this one for you AllisOne
like you i was a bit dubious as id never heard of google wallet before.
all i can say is it was as straightforward if not easier than paypal which i have used for years.
ordered on the 31st July, authorization and payment taken the same day and laptop dispatched on the 8th August.
if you have a Gmail account then the only thing extra you are adding is your credit/debit card details and the site is fully encrypted and secure.
    hope that helps.

Thanks MrDJ. It helps a lot :) . I contacted mySN UK - they have a bank transfer as well, to all "in need" - just email them and ask. By the way - they answer mails with a lightning speed. Really impressed. And as I can see, from your experience MrDJ, their speed of building and delivering laptops is comparable. They can help me with installing HD+ screen in XMG P502 too.
I can see your Laptop has the "lightning specs" as well ;-) . Can you tell me as a dj - do really those "great" Onkyo speakers with "subwoofer" have very crappy sound?

May the Force be with you and your machine!

one thing i did forget to mention was there was a % charge. as i pre ordered before they opened and signed up to their news letter i got a discount which worked out at roughly £85. once money was taken it was about £43 discount. after chatting with mysn they explained that google charge for using their service and it was a charge of just over £40 :(

imo the on board speakers are pants compared to my last m860tu clevo
luckily ive already got a 5.1 speaker set up and also have an x-fi external sound card. sadly i cant use that anymore as its a pci card slot fitting and not many lappys have that now.
for me i now use my green 5.1 plug in the headphones socket and the sound is a thousand times better in game with much more bass. the next two sockets are mic in and s/pdif BUT if you plug the yellow and black 5.1 speaker plugs into them you get the option of speaker out on both so i dont need an external soundcard anymore.

the guys at mysn never sleep :) ive live chatted with them as late as 11pm at night before. ok, were working on the website at the time but still found time to chat and sort out my queries.

at the moment lappys are still being built in germany but all your contact is with the uk so its so much easier as the only thing i know how to say in german is asking for a beer :D

    hope that helped mate.
need any more info just holler.

So that Google Wallet/Checkout is OK, but ... not :) . I don't think PayPal has such a surcharge. Anyway I've never used it for over £1000.

i found this on charges Google Checkout
    £2000 @ 2.9% = £58

    edit:

after doing more digging and searching it looks like Google charge to process the transaction isn't only the same as what PayPal charge but also the same as all credit card charges so its not as bad as it first seemed.

Has anyone here bought a Clevo from a Portuguese reseller?

I'm asking because I'll be getting one very soon but unfortunately it's impossible to get an honest opinion in PT forums as they're all more interested in fighting and badmouthing each other.
To make matters even worse, some of the ppl who apparently have honest opinions refuse to talk about where they bought their Clevo's so I've my hands tied about getting an honest shop review there.

I think it'll be safer to purchase from a UK or German reseller. If I were you I would buy a barebone with a GPU from PWNPCs and probably buy the rest in Portuguese(?) Noticed some things were cheaper over there.

But kind of up to you, try getting 5 posts on the NBR forums, then you'll be able to send private messages, so feel free to contact someone from this thread who has bought from a Portuguese reseller (see earlier posts) or send me a PM if you've got any questions :)

I thought about buying from the UK/Germany but it ends up getting quite a bit more expensive.
I'm going to try to get 5 posts done :) I've been lurking around here for several months now but my frustration about getting an honest opinion on portuguese resellers took the best of me and I decided to finally register.
Let's hope a portuguese buyer checks this thread.

It's a option i had to make myself too.

It's cheaper for countrys with 19% VAT, the portuguese ones are only more expensive for the outsider look, because you pay 23% VAT.

However, if you reduce the VAT cost you'll see who is cheaper,

I bought my P150EM, in Portugal, so did other users of this forum.
I think that independently of where you buy, you should contact the store that suits you best.

I have also checked on that forum you speak of....and it's more like a lame telenovela, than a real thread anymore.

Everyone that is happy with their purchase will recommend you the store that they bought from, it's logical, you have to find the one that has less negative feedbacks, because fanboys are everywhere, no matter where you go.

    That's merely a suggestion.

I hope you can find what you seek

I'm portuguese. I recommend you to send an email to a few resellers and try to get the price/client support that suits you the best.
Here's a list of resellers I contacted: clevocenter, wsi, inforlandia, inforled, inforphone, assismatica, nge.
I wouldn't recomend you to buy directly from inforlandia (aveiro) as I had to return and ask for my money back. They didn't send me the proper LCD/wireless card and later they were asking for more money for the change.
As for wsi, they keep asking you personal questions as of why do you need such a LCD. They also won't give you prices via email only phone and you need to say you'll be buying that day otherwise they simply won't give you their final price. As for clevocenter (some may say it's the same store as wsi) they seem to have a decent customer support in their website (package tracking, etc) and a few interesting services (extreme overall, etc). Didn't like the price.
I've nothing against inforled nor nge. I didn't buy from them because they couldn't give me the best price.
As for assismatica they were asking like +250€ more for the same built. I wouldn't go for it.
I bought from inforphone. I'm still waiting for the laptop to arrive. They may buy their barebones from inforlandia and they may not have the best website ever but they keep answering your emails very fast and have their own lab. Best price for the built. I know price isn't everything but after I told them what had happened before with inforlandia they assured it wouldn't happen with them. I hope it all goes well.
This is all I can tell you so far. I can give you some feedback after I receive my laptop ~next wednesday.

Mainly I would watch out for the mismatched LCDs, wireless cards, (ES) processors and missing bills.

Personally i have bad experiences with a few of the stores you mentioned.
And know related facts of some aswell, wich obviously made me choose the one i chose.

Like fictions mencioned, contact the ones that interested you more, the list is available, from Jaug1337's nice work.
Send some emails, discuss some prices, make some phone calls, and you'll see the choice will be easier.

The bigger stores so far are the ones that i know that are failing more.
Somewhere along the way customer care stopped with them.

You'll see it's not that hard

    Thanks guys :)
Those opinions just confirm some of the things I was already suspicious about. I've contacted several resellers and I'm almost sure where I'll get it from.

As we all know any shop can give you a faulty computer, the question that remains is how fast and how well they fix the situation.

Thanks again for the help

You should try Elite Digital, it's basically inforlandia shop. Inforlandia works with resellers, and elitedigital is for the end user. I have bought two clevos in inforlandia this year, and everything worked just fine.

    Hi guys!
I did not from Europe, but now live here for six months. I want to buy a laptop Clevo, but as we say "toad strangling" to give 1,500 euros per laptop, which in the U.S. is worth $ 1300. (I know, it's not wine collectors, and the fact that in Europe you have to pay 20% VAT).
I heard that in Europe very often make pre-Christmas discounts. Can share the experience of previous years: make a notebook Clevo-pickers discounts before Christmas and New Year?
    Thank you.

Can you be a bit more specific?
I'm not sure what you are asking for to be honest?

Do you want to know about resellers?or do you want to know about seasonal discounts?

Holiday discounts, usually, happend during the holiday itself, so, you'll have to wait a bit more.
About resellers you should pick the one closest to you with the best feedback and price.

For example, I remember like during Euro-2012, MySN make discount, if Germany win and how many have goal - same % discount: 2 goals - 2%, 3 goals - 3%.
can you remember whether there were similar specials in the past year? And is there any hope to get a discount from resellers in this year? In December, before Christmas and New Year.

Theres always something like that going on everywhere.

I Don't remember specific names, but i know that there always special prices for christmas etc.
You have the list on the first page of this topic, it's just a matter of following a few resellers and wait by the holidays.

I think you not understand :)
I chose a laptop: 15.6", 3720 or 3740, 7970, 8gb, 128 ssd. And price for this configuration around 1500 euros. But I can't pay as much. And ask you: price before Christmas and the New Year may be lower? Or discounts are only for clothes, shoes (for example), and the prices for laptops the same as now? And I did not wait for the holidays and discounts, and buy a laptop now, but weaker: 3610, 4gb, 500hdd, gtx660m?
I hope you like the Europeans have to remember whether discounts on laptops in the last year, two years ago?
    Thanks ;)

The discounts are different every year.

We can't tell you specific values, the price you are paying for that configuration , it's fair,
I think the max discount you'll have should be around 5% on holidays, and still you'll have to wait until it begins, you won't loose anything for waiting a bit longer.

If you say how much you can affrod, im sure we can find you a setup between those two, and one that is withtin your budget.

For example, the setup on my signature, costed me 1500€, already with BF3 premium, and it runs everything, and very very well, meaning, that if you lower your cpu, you'll save more than 100€, and still have a very very powerful machine. just a thought.

*Later when you can afford, you might buy a new cpu in 2-3 years and use it for example.

    which video you have?
I chose like this configuration http://imageshack.us/a/img255/2744/778lk.jpg + shipping.
I like play in game and converting video for youtube so thought that I had a powerful processor and videocard.
For the first time will be enough for me 8gb ram, but I need ssd. + I put my WD Scorpion Black 750gb 7200 from my old notebook.
