It's still up for sale: https://noteb.com/?model/model.php?conf=4963788654407148025_1566&ex=USD , you can get it on Amazon.
Has rather poor processor cooling, but the GPU cooling seems to be ok.

It's hard to tell from one review, but I am not surprised given the throttling on their processor. If you get the GL702VI you need to redo the thermal paste on the processor.

Looks like they aren't refreshing the CPU for that model, which leads me to believe that they will update the chassis with Coffee Lake and Ampere/Turing/whatever later this year. If the case is to my liking, I will buy it on day one, just like I did the p650 when Pascal released. Just hoping that they do away with the side exhaust for the CPU and have all air exhaust from the rear of the machine. Otherwise, my p650 has been nearly perfect since September 2016.

PA6x/PA7x suppose to be the P650 2.0 but its 10 steps backwards instead of 1 forward.

I thought those were the p950? Surely they will continue to produce a model that bridges the gap between thin/light and desktop replacement. Although I’m not privy to the sales numbers for p650, if the activity on these forums are any indication, and my reseller (LPC) was correct, that model was extremely popular, one of the best selling of all time.

I’m hanging onto hope that they are redesigning the case for the new Nvidia release later this year.

Is the 775 or 870 series getting an update? Is the 8700B (65W TDP 4.6ghz, 12M cache) going to make an appearance?
If all that happens is the 6, 7, and 8 stay the same and get 8xxx CPUs, then it looks like a pass for this "generation" of Clevo machines.

So that's a no, literally just a firmware update and chip swap in for the i8s. That's all right, we know what we're getting, doesn't take much work, and firmware updates should come quickly.

If only we could get some insight into cannonlake . . .
Guess that will have to wait till December or later.

    What are you talking about?
new motherboatds Z370s, new cpus i5-8400/i5-8600k/i7-8700/i7-8700k, new cooling systems for p775 and p870. All these upgrades came out in november.

    Edit
if you need an Intel 8-cores cpu, that will require a new motherboard z390.

If indeed they are discontinuing the model, they are most likely working on a newer model, since it is hard to believe they will ditch the highly lucrative thin and light category.

The n850ep6 caught my attention, 144hz ips panel, coffee lake cpu, 16gb ram and a 1060 for $1300 sounds excellent.
Curious how cooling would be though.

Or you could just search for hyper threading and gaming!

Last time I searched, there were under 10 titles that properly used more than 4 cores and I don't think the list has extended much.

Here's a starting point (these are just from the top of my head... if anyone knows more, pls. add them to the list or maybe someone should make a separate thread for these):

    Ashes of the Singularity
    Crysis 3
    Rise of the Tomb Raider
    The Witcher 3
    BF1
    Watch Dogs 2
    Overwatch
    Kingdom Come Deliverance

    Edit:
This thing is actually way better than msi.. Mechanical Keyboard on bezelles notebook ports and exhaust on the backsite wow..

This is not a Clevo barebone or Quanta because serial numbers are not matching their name patterns. It is not clear whom it is but with one NBR user help we saw that the trace is going among other things to TongFang (China ODM) .

Well i had an occasion to test Mechanical KB in Lenovo Y9XX and HP Omen X (better than Lenovo in my opinion). Both are better than one from this barebone but on the other hand are about twice more expensive...

Did you test one from Illegear?

You'll be able to get one from us with standard 24 month full warranty and multiple language keyboard layouts (including of course qwertz)! We haven't launched it quite yet, probably a couple of weeks away. All tested, but we just received a new mass production model to test so I can only report on samples so far - not really fair to give those details out as ther're generally not the same as mass production samples. I should be able to post some more information in a few weeks!

Edit - should have mentioned that our version is with GTX 1060, sand blasted rather than brushed aluminium chassis and slightly different keys which are flatter than the original versions and more comfortable to use :)

Yeah if they could offer a bigger battery in the space of the 2.5" HD, then it is promising, especially since Clevo hasn't been willing to do the same. The thin and light market is demanding, where consumers expect it all, good performance, good battery life and on top of that, good thermals....crazy, I know.

47wh is very very low. My dell 7370 has 43 with Core-m7 and no dedicated GPU and it can't get over 6h with normal surfing usage -.-. 47wh on 8750h and Gtx1060 is like 20m runtime ?
