    Mine shows 0.920V also.

On a side note your GPU BIOS is different, mine is 70.24.26.00.01 . What date does your GPU BIOS say in your laptop bios? (when its booting if you look in bios mine is like 4/23/11.)

Can someone help me? I ran Vantage. Didn't change any settings, just RUN BENCHMARK:

    280.26 drivers

    3D Mark: 14,192
    Graphics: 13,393
CPU: 17284 (I see people posting 40K scores for CPU...what's wrong here?)

    Some things I noticed:
Both my memory chips were reporting as running @ 800mhz. Is that right?

Thoughs are about the same scores I got also got with my 6990M, so I think your CPU is fine as it's the same as mine?

    3D Mark 14,562
    graphics: 13,763
    CPU: 17,632

For benchmarks, averages for that hardware are:

    580m: Vantage 14403
    2630qm: PCMark Vantage 8517

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M - Notebookcheck.net Tech
    Intel Core i7 2630QM Notebook Processor - Notebookcheck.net Tech

I'm not sure where you saw the 40k+ score for CPU, but your scores are definitely around where I'd expect to see them :)

For the memory, you have 1600mhz RAM so what you're seeing is expected here too. This is because you have DDR3 (double date rate type 3) which can do two operations per cycle- 2 operations at 800mhz equals an effective rate of 1600mhz.

Double data rate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Hope this helps :)

OK just flashed vbios 70.24.26.00.01, but temps didn`t change at all...burn-in time for ICD is also over and temps are still too high.

    Furmark stays at 96-97c
    11 and Vantage at 92-93c

Your bios was actually newer, so don't know if would have went back.

Did you backup bios before flashing? Maybe post at one of them sites too so we can maybe see if anything different in it.

    As for your temps.

If the heatsink is on good and fans working it only leaves two options.

Defective GPU, or defective heatsink. Heatsink can be defective because may have a block internally on it or have somehow leaked all its fluids out or dried or something.

Sucks to say (as I was in a similar boat) but you need a RMA :(

Yikes, that's pretty hot. I don't ever want to run Furmark on my laptop, it seems like unrealistic temperatures. I think Vantage is the closes to real life gaming, give or take a few degrees. My temperatures aren't bad at all, but I'm still going to pick up a cooler just to be safe.

Unfortunately, the above 820/2000/1640 my laptop (power suply) shut down. Tomorrow I'll get laboratory power suply. I will try to squeeze the card more than 860/2000/1720. :D

I have not pushed the SLI 580M, but with the 280.19 drivers the below was done. What is everyones favorite driver for benching? :)

    tnx, man :)

Great score :D Did u use 2 power bricks while benching? Owners of m18x still experience GPU power throttling in various tools, including games. Heaven 2.5 is not one of them. I probably need a better CPU to beat your score and an improved and optimized drivers set. Used 280.19, BTW!

I have the 2 bricks but I have found that they are not needed unless you are really overclocking. The SLI 580M's certainly do much better than the SLI 480M's as far as power draw.

The bench was with one PSU. :)

Cleraly, 580M SLI are better optimized, so it might be the drivers protection here, cause it throttles with 45W CPU using a 330W Power Brick compared to 300W on Sager's.

I have Crysis 2 maxed out with hi-res texture, DX11, and extreme settings (higher than ultra) and I'm getting ~40FPS. This is on stock clocks.
