U can speak about me as HE.

Dont worry about to counseling me. The HUMOR on others people misventure will not help you to get ur money back. And dont be surprised if one day people will laugh at the eventual misventures u will have in ur life. What can be more Evil...

Think about ur stuff and try to solve it. Dont think about me coz i live in happyness and joy and i always wish that Brian will come out from this difficulties.

As for a convo. with you? I'm thinking no, you will more then likely just make me angry and on top of that i tend to leave my messenger off these days because i try not to think whats going on. i just check the forums once and day see whats going on, turn on my messenger every two days usually and see what a few people i talk to on here. Just to see if they got any new info thats not posted on here.
So no i won't chat with you. After work i want to relax and play wow :) and only touch this stuff lightly everyday, between work and this situation lol my acid reflex problem is going nuts. I wont have a stomach left by the end of this and i'm not even 30 yet lol.

I am so ready to jump ship, return the computer to the address it came from and ask for my money back from my credit card. Anyone know if that is a possible thing to do? This whole thing has just gotten to ridiculous levels.

    wiggit07,
Are you talking about the Flawless ship? It has set sail without a lot of us. Brian is BI-Polar and went off his meds. (Source: Detective in charge of the case) If you have a computer then you have something. I'm out the money and no computer. I'll be surprised and grateful if I see my money back. Brian is currently, and will be, doing jail time. (Source: His Probation Officer)

you want to buy a laptop? just kidding. Believe me i do feel lucky that at least i got my laptop, but i am treating it like my illegitimate child instead of my little baby because of this whole ordeal. I know this does not make you feel any better, but i do hope you get your money back.

I for one want a refund, (even though i got my computer) but i guess thats asking for too much at this point.

    wiggit07,
I hope his parents come through. From what the detective and his mother told me, it may take a while before I see money...like a couple months. Thing is, I still need a computer. I didn't buy a laptop...it was the bigger kind...nothing against laptops of course.

wiggit07, all you have to do is call your credit card company and tell them the computer is "not as described" (which it isn't because there is no way you have a computer with a valid warranty...notwithstanding all of the dreaming going on here by some). They will credit the full amount back to your card, and all you have to do is return the product to the vendor.

This is assuming you purchased it less than 3 months ago. (or it could be 6 months depending on your credit card company's policy)

This sounds interesting. Is this really a possibility for those of us that have already received a system from Brian? I got mine the last week of December 2006. I am almost tempted to look into this and purchase the same exact laptop from a another, more reputable vendor.

Considering I bought the laptop to use for the next three years specifically for my graphic design education, do you think this would be a smart thing to do?

How long of a process would something like this take?

I wonder if it is a possibility for unfortunate flawless owners to buy an extended warranty from Sager, through Sager? Maybe that is something other resellers might be able to offer in hope of gaining more loyal Clevo customers for the future.

Brian received all of his Clevo's from Sager. Even my "customized" M570U came directly built from Sager....Brian never touched it before I received it. If he had, he would have noticed the obvious hairline crack along the case's edge, right above the dvd tray. He had me send the system back to his "supplier" who he would not reveal to me, until I threatened to return it for a refund. He told me there is no way I could ever receive a refund for a "customized" system. What?...Does the extra gig of corsair ram and 100 gb 7200 rpm HD make it customized and non-refundable???

The Clevos from Flawless all came from Sager, just like most other resellers in north America. When I got my replacement system, it came fresh from Sager in california...a brand new untouched system with all the software CDs.

I love my system, and so far it has been great to me. I love to do my homework, graphic designing, and play WoW on it. I would much rather just buy a new warranty from another reseller or from Sager than try and return my system for a refund.

I feel lucky that I got my system before Brian's sh!t hit the fan, but not that lucky. I would feel much better if I had purchased my system from one of the resellers on this forum that have been around for a long time. There is no doubt that if everything goes well with this laptop that I will definitely buy another Clevo in 2-3 years and probably continue to do so there after.

You should contact your credit card company and ask them what their process is and how long it will take. Each company has their own policy so everyone needs to contact their credit card company to get the straight scoop.

If you paid for the 3 year warranty you have a very strong claim, and for those who didn't get all that they were promised (e.g. legal software), or didn't get the HDD or memory brand that they were promised then it is definately "not as described". These are magic words to a credit card company, and you are entitled to all of your money back, including the original shipping cost.

So, don't ask about what your credit card company will do for you here...get on the phone with them.

ok, but what about my second question? Do you think it might be possible for Sager to offer an extended warranty for those of us that already have the system? Do you think other resellers might be into doing something like this in pursuit of gaining new loyal Clevo customers?

You would have to contact Sager directly to see if they will sell you their extended warranty.

Their general policy is that the Sager extended warranty only goes on Sager branded laptops...but who knows...maybe under these circumstances they would make an exception...or maybe they won't. It may well depend on who actually built the system...and if it has Corsair memory it was probably Brian, not Sager.

The other Sager requirement is that the extended warranty has to be purchased within 90 days of the original ship date...now that would not be Brian's ship date to you, but the date that Sager originally shipped it to either Brian, or his customer.

Unfortunately I am sure that there aren't any Sager reseller's that would offer the warranty unless they could buy it from Sager...so the only real possibility is to get it directly from Sager.

so he isn't even building these systems?
Then i don't see why we can't get are money or a system from him even if he tries the bankrupt thing. There really would be no excuse as to why we can have are computers or are money, at least in my opinion.
Will see i guess. Everyday on my way home i go to the mailbox and pray there is a refund check/money order, or a computer.

    19hey, welcome to post #19

ungkaren, also mentioned it much later

He gets the barebones from sager and he installs the CPU, hdd, bluetooth, and ram. He also puts on the OS. I had all the latest video and sound drivers when my laptop came, The only extra programs installed were 3dmark06, pcmark06, and the anti virus (which is what I ordered, there might have been 1-2 more benchmark programs I forgot).

So he obviously spent some time setting up the OS. I have a mighty fine laptop and it's sad his business is going down.

My "custom" clevo came directly from Sager in calfornia, and so did my replacement system. Brian never even saw my system....it never went to his location in Colorado. If mine was a barebones system, then Sager customized it instead of Brian.

if any of you have a phone number or email address please post it or PM me....I am starting to get a bit scared...

I am surprised that speaking to someone who speaks English as her second language rattles you guys so much.

This is America guys. We speak lots of different ways and those who have a low tolerance for anything different than the meat and potatoes they are used to simply will not get very far in life limiting themselves that way.

So, you are going to Sager with your hat in your hand asking them to take care of any warranty issues you might have, and you want to talk like an adolescent?

You do realize of course that the people at Sager, including their top management people who make the decisions about whether or not they will support the FC warranties, read this forum don't you?

I am so glad we have free speech in this country. People can say or write whatever they want, but then the listener or reader gets to make their own decision about the character and maturity of the speaker/writer.

No offense to the gibberish speaking CSRs, but to get anything done regarding customer care via telephone, you need someone who understands what you are saying. Many times I have made calls only to be given the run-around until I speak to someone with English as their primary language (try American Airlines). Maybe one day the top management people will stop looking at the bottom line and start caring about customer service. Then such issues will not even be raised.
Not that I am totally against outsourcing, how else will Americans be able to afford all the useless crap we so desperately NEED?

Donald, is your avatar symbolizing your high horse? Lighten up it was a joke.

I called that number twice in the last month. The first time I asked her to repeat herself and I still couldn't figure out what she was saying. The second time I called, I still couldn't understand was she was saying, so i just said, "tech support please," and i was connected right away to a guy who I could understand a lot better.

I didn't realize the word "gibberish" was that offensive. There's probably worse things that could be said. Although this is a super moderated forum, I'm suprised if it was that offensive it wasn't edited out and my posting privileges were revoked.

And how do you know Sager is not reading this and thinking to themselves maybe they should get a phone operator who is a bit easier to understand?

Wow, I have read all of this, and am in shock. I came back to check on this site because resellerratings conacted me about my positive review on flawless. Something didn't sit right, and at first, I thought all the negative reviews on Flawless were another comany.

I wrote this prior to my purchase on another thread...

I have been talking with Brian, and though I think he truly does have great intentions, we were not able to come to an agreement with his "better price" against powernotebooks. As it turns out, within 4 hours of pricing a laptop online, the price was up $60 and the 3 year guarantee was now $100. Though Brian was more than willing to honor the earlier price and the 3 year warranty, I had a moment of clarity this afternoon....They are a new business, in a very competitive arena. The profit retailers make on this type of stuff is next to nothing in most cases. So, if the laptop breaks within 3 years, which is somewhat probable, how can they afford to pay for repairs on a computer, which in many cases can be very expensive? I know, I might catch some flack for this, but in a world where promises are rarely kept, and many businesses are short-lived, I am not willing to take my chances. I sincerely wish them the best, and hope they do make it. I am sticking with powernotebooks.com. Though I might be paying a few more dollars, it is worth it to me to have the peace of mind needed when purchasing such an item.

In retrosect, I was right, and was one of the lucky few that did get my laptop from him. He was very convincing, and upon getting my laptop from Brian, I thought I might have put my foot in my mouth. I sincerely feel for the people that have been ripped off by Brian. And though it is very little consolation, I had a similar experience with another online company, that went on for about one year, but it did get resolved. Best of luck to all of you!

But, i believe hes got ALOT more laptops/comps to worry about than you would guess.... Would be great if he did hurry up though, but as slow as he is going, at least he is considering to take care of this mess.

I am with you, we all have waited too long, but at least we are seeing progress in the 'fiasco'.

I will stop posting after this comment because it has now become a cycle of blindness. WE ARE ALL MAD, we obviously want some kind of communication to know how/when/what Brian is doing with our laptops, but thats up to him. If he were to not send one laptop back about everyone would want to file a lawsuit (I am highly against suing someone). The last thing Brian needs are lawsuits, which he has gotten himself into some trouble, getting one laptop back, is progress, he has the right (of an America) to do whatever he wants, meaning he can ruin his reputation, and his life, by not sending any laptops back. Who would want to do that? I doubt anyone normal. Look at the Winter.Ravens review, about his Bluetooth problem, Brian answered, and made one happy customer, and Winter.Raven wasn't the only happy one. Brian's progress is being slowed down because of these Junk lawsuits. He obviously was trying his best the whole way, and well now hes in a hole, and getting your way out of a whole takes a while, and I am willing to wait, instead of bashing. If I were in his position, I quite frankly would be too drawn back, dishearten, and seriously pissed, at how some people have reacted to this. I think he is doing the best he can, obviously after filing bankruptcy, and seeing that there are 24 pages about this, I think the bashing seriously is now becoming annoying, and redundant.

    Patience is a virtue.

i think the issue here is the complete lack of communication with anyone. i mean...my issue is not a missing laptop. i have emailed him AND called him and nicely explained I would accept the broken laptop back and I would take care of the warranty through Sager or Prostar...its a MoBo so it should be covered by wither of them. But even I havent recieved a response....and he has my broken laptop sitting on his counter or on his floor somewhere.....

WOW....so I just got a hold of his mom and I am quite relieved. She seemed very nice, honest and didnt seem like she was holding back...she even joked about her sons bad situation with me a bit.

She currently has 4 peoples information...that tells me that this isnt as big as some people are making it out to be. Her son is in jail for repeatedly driving with a suspended license and has not talked to her in about a week in a half. She is expecting a call this week. And said she would email me, or, to please call her back later this week if she doenst email me..... she will find out exactly what is going on with my laptop.

Brian's gf said that a few of the computers have been shipped out. Janice (his mom) seems to think that everything will work itself out as soon as he gets out of jail... so that is good news. It looks like Brian has a good family...Janice and her daughter were cleaning the house when I called :)

So I am a bit relieved, she took down all my info (the info she didnt already have) and even was able to recite info that I left on her answering machine over the past two days...so this tells me she isnt just erasing stuff and ignoring the problem...I have a feeling flawless will fix itself soon...I sure hope so!

I'm not exactly sure what is going on with this whole situation but you can add me to the list of people who used less than better judgement in purchasing online with a cashier's check. I placed my order on February 19th and have yet to receive my laptop or word of when it will be shipped. The communication from the start should have been a glaring red flag. Unfortunately wisdom comes at a rather steep price at times. I commend Brian's family for the efforts and display of integrity in working to help bring a solution to this whole situation.

I thought I had researched enough in regards to the integrity of Flawless and after several recommendations from http://forum.notebookreview.com I figured it would have been a safe bet...but I forgot to factor in the human factor. I'm very disappointed in the situation but I have no other choice but to hope and have faith that this will all work out soon.

If anyone has any further information I would love to know.

    Thank you,

    Aadden

You forgot to factor in the "Flawless is a brand new laptop company, with no previous history".

I was on of the fortunate ones to receive a lappy from Brian before all this stuff went down. I recommended Flawless in these forums more than once after I received my system and before this big mess occurred. I took a risk with Flawless, and so did anybody else who ordered through Flawless (regardless of the few positive reviews some of us made in dec/jan).

Anyone who bought from Flawless took a risk because it is such a new company with no previous history.

wretched - I dont think Janice will be unable to help you, and neither will his girlfriend. Brian still has a handle on things(barely), and he should be out of jail soon. Once out, he will take care of things, and he will make things right....at least that is the distinct impression i get from his mom. I know asking to hang in there is a lot....trust me...im in the same situation....but it does seem as though this will get cleared up and flawless back on their feet once brian gets out.

the only reason she can help me right now is because i sent me laptop to her and she is taking care of the warranty issue and getting me my laptop replaced.

i hope brian can get things sorted when he's out of jail, but the whole virus on his website and payment issues with people puts a huge seed of doubt in my mind
