Limited number of Sager NP2090 WSXGA+ are in the warehouse! Orders placed with Sager through July 13th will ship next week!

I ordered my sager from xotic pc on july 8th. If I want to change OS from home premium to business, would that have any effect on the shipping date?

 

Out of curiosity, have any of the other folks who had early july order dates gotten a shipping email yet?

I ordered mine on the 12th (yes, just the tail end of the window, hehe) and I haven't gotten anything yet ... I'm really impatient...

 

Sager got them in on Friday, so if they already shipped any out to customers I would be very concerned on their testing and burn in methods....

Of course, testing is a good thing--- many people have been waiting longer than I have, I'm sure I can handle another few days...

"testing" probably, but it isnt as extensive as boutique brands (alienware, voodoo, falcon, sager, etc etc)

 

Quick question regarding this. When we say ordered on X date, does that mean the date the order was charged on or the date when we actually clicked the "submit order" button?

 

I am assuming so don't hold it against me, but if you ordered through Xotic or PNB, I would think they wouldnt place the order with Sager until your payment had cleared, so I would go by the payment date.

 

i agree with sco_fri, because people were even spending money to get moved up in the list so i guess it was a priority to put down the money as fast as possible..

 

So how long does it take for my status to move from pre-order pending arrival to whatever the next phase is? (testing?)

I'm also trying to get in contact of Justin or anyone from Xoticpc because I have to switch my OS from Vista Home Premium to Business.

 

No. It means your laptop hasn't arrived in the XoticPC warehouse yet, so you're waiting on the next shipment to receive it. Then XoticPC configures and tests it (or Sager does that, depending if you bought the Sager NP2090) and then ships it out to you.

 

So i'm probably not going to recieve it next week or the week after that right? I guess i'm going to buy the G1s now.

 

Preorders on the Sager is backlogged a lot. If you can't wait for the laptop, then it could be in your best interest and cancel and look towards alternatives. Who knows what news next week could bring, maybe all the preorders could be miraculously filled by then, who knows.

 

Im in a similar buy-time as you... bought mine 7/09 over the phone, and when i talked to justin he told me it would be shipped next week. honestly thats not too long of a wait... if you order a g1s online it will probably around that time anyways right? so y not just wait?

 

Wait wait wait. So I am in the group of people who ordered before the 13th? Because i'm hearing things that if your card has to be charged before the 13th and my card still hasn't been charged yet.

 

i ordered on 7/11, sent out my check a few days later, not sure exactly when it cleared but my mom told me it cleared already a few days ago. But I'm still at Phase 1. Justin assured me my system is still shipping next week. Maybe XoticPC has already received the laptops for those who ordered before 7/13 and it's being shipped out next week. I just don't know why i'm still stuck at Phase 1.... I hope that doesn't affect my shipment time.

 

Man where are those guys, I sent an e-mail to Justin and xotic during the afternoon. No response yet.

 

My card was charged very quickly by PNB after my order. I think XoticPC operates in a similar fashion (although I could be wrong). If you have not been charged yet, you may want to check on your order status.

 

Hopefully they're shipping computers.

 

Many have offered to pay extra to be moved up the list, but you can rest assured that offer has not been accepted by PowerNotebooks.com, and I doubt that it would be accepted by any reputable reseller.

Orders get in line based on the day payment is received and the order is placed at Sager. Once Sager assigns an Order Number to it, there can be no changes to your place in line. You can change your configuration, including the screen resolution, and you will not lose your place in line.

 

when I get an order number that means my payment was processed right?

No. Everyone gets an Order Number when they place their order. If you buy from PowerNotebooks.com you will then get an email confirming that your payment has been received and your order has been released to the production line up.

 

Rcervantes Sometimes it can take us up to 24Hours to reply to a email. Today was a big day for order shipments of WSXGA models We will be sending updates as orders are shipped.

If paid by a credit card we do not charge the card until the item is getting ready to be shipped

 

So if my order status says "PRE-ORDER Pending Item Arrival" do I have a hope of my order shipping? How quickly does the status change once the laptop arrives at your warehouse?

I just got the tracking number for my NP2090 WSXGA+.

UPS Next Day Air is a lifesaver. I wouldn't have had anyone to sign for it if it shipped a little latter in the week. Everyone would have been out of town.

if you ordered the np2090 then yes you are in this week. but if you ordered the force then you will probably have to wait longer.

So... just to clarify... if I ordered the Sager model from powernotebooks... does powernotebooks then do more testing after the 96 hours that Sager has already done?

 

rideexileex, for most people the Sager is shipped directly from Sager. I think only people in the same state as Sager (California??) get their laptop from PNB instead of Sager. Tax thing.

 

It should be here by noon today (central time), but i'll be at work so I won't be able to really check it out until after 5pm. Then, starting tomorrow, I'll be out of town on business for most of the days of the next two weeks.

So basically, I'm not sure if I will have time to post any pics or videos. We shall see though.

 

My NP2090 ordered on the 23rd of June was shipped today =) from XoticPC it went from phase 2 to phase 5 lol =P Can't wait!! =)

 

Interesting, I ordered the WSXGA screen from xoticpc on the June 21, but it's still waiting to be built (according to an email from them 5 minutes ago).

Only reason why i could see there being any delay on yours is if you ordered something different such ass bluetooth,tv-tuner(not being shipped yet from what i've read), or 1 stick of DRR instead of two? I honestly have no clue but thats the only thing that would make sense. OR your email is SLOW =x

Very true. If they got enough notebooks in to fill all those orders, I doubt they have enough testing stations to test all of them at once, so give them this week and I am sure everyone in the timeframe Donald listed will be pleased!

 

My specs were the default 2090 Elite, except my harddrive was 160 gv 5400rpm. I didn't order a TV tuner, bluetooth, and have 2 1 gig sticks of ram. My config is the same as yours except I "downgraded" my harddrive.

 

I've seen this all over the forums, but where do I find that on their site? I asked via email but did not receive an answer. I ordered on the phone (not through their process online). I have an account there, but when I login, it says I have no current orders.
