Well, now we are waiting for the results of your system tests from you! How was the delivery? Is everything in order with the cargo?

Heatsink is on and fitted, temps look pretty normal on air..... and i've got a work gathering I have to go to tonight so wont be able to hook up the water cooling. Of course.

Heck even your TMU's seems way off 96 is right but that 426 should be 160. -

I think my pump has not survived as well as I thought, I have replacement coming on Tuesday.

You're ok, I like figuring this out for myself, I think I have my final plan of layout.

Stock the GPU just smashes to 125w even on air. Not too surprising so will look to shunt mod it now I'm happy the card runs.

That was after the driver install but it is a modded driver to get support. It will just be the values of a regular 3070 mobile.

Edit: just check mine is right you have a very special RTX 3070 Meaker TMU is 160 and Texture Fill is 249.6GT/s

Should be the same, I bet if you compare timespy scores they are within a couple % of each other.

Yeah they will be, any difference will just be the slight screwy drivers.

As it is now the water cooling favours the GPU more and I can get about 5Ghz from the 9900ks sustained AVX.

Timespy result, seems right for what I am running.

Not far from my GPU scores, which for your platform is pretty dam good.

Can you post temp grapths from TimeSpy for cpu/gpu, curious to see how it fares.

Yes, I can sort that out when my cooling is fully sorted. I think the CPU is going to spoke regardless just due to its thermal density.

Did you delid it and run LM or is it stock with paste?

It's liquid metal all through with a Rockit IHS.
Once I have plugs for the outlets on the notebook I can take it apart again
It was my first test fit that seemed good enough to run. I need to look at contact etc. -

Here is the requested temp charts:
You can see I'm riding it pretty close at 5Ghz.electrosoft, jc_denton, Papusan and 1 other person like this. -
Temps look very nice during G1/G2! And the bigger die on 3070 sure runs cooler. Expect the temps to get even better when you get the new stuff. For comparison with the hybrid I've ran the same bench at 5Ghz max fans.

Just updated the Signature with the #1 for system spec.
Also bare in mind i haven't gone crazy with overclocks yet max on Core is +67 and VRAM has been +250 ish.Last edited: Nov 10, 2021Papusan likes this. -

Dam, how many PSU's you've got or do you have a 780w psu for that NP9877 as i am sure the CPU is pumping close to 200w with 5GHZ.

The system was designed for a 9900K and a pair of 1080 cards, that setup consumed 650W from the wall if you went for it so this is small potatoes
It's a pair of 330W delta power bricks.

That's fine, I'm mostly done now anyway, don't need millions of benchmarks to see how it is compared to other 3070 cards.

If only PCSpecialist would allow me to shunt mod with breaking warranty I would do so.
Both are nice scores though for your systems.
Your both lucky you don't have to put up with Nvidia's stupid dynamic boost logic.

To be fair shunt modding is a pretty extreme mod in the scheme of things.
