Its the Intel NDA thats lifting on the platform (7 Series Chipset), its not the NDA for:
- Anything AMD
- Intel Ivy Bridge Quad or Dual Cores
Those things come later![]()

Larry@LPC-Digital Company Representative
It is the Intel NDA. There is no set ETA for AMD video cards for these models.
_ -
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
not Intel, you will see new models release tonight but still using 2nd Gen CPU's until the Intel NDA lifts later in the month.
-
Ok looks like roll call is pretty much done here for the US companies.. Where's Malibal? Anyone seen them?
-
Oh brother, I'd though I'd see all the Intel NDA stuff lifted tonight with the actual launch coming April 20something. This has been frustrating, to say the least.
-
Its up on Gentech for Kepler
-
15 minutes... im not going to survive
and on gentech is just the fermi 670m. no kepler yet, sadly
So I was waiting all that time...
for a stupid chipset? -
Can't wait to see the config options. If the price on the 675m is low enough it could be a great choice.
Edit: 675m is a $100 upgrade? Nice! -
I don't see powernotebooks anywhere either...
one more hour! -
W00t, xotic is up afaik.
-
A couple more minutes by my count. Mythlogic said they're posting at 12:01AM EDT.
-
I'm worried..
spit it out already..
Yeppp..Xotic!!! woottt..thank god! -
I think it might actually be now because Xotic has the p170em listed as the chassis for the Sager NP9170 with the 670m stock and the 675m a $100 upgrade.
-
The owner's lounges are open, feel free to drop by as I will merge information to the OP when resellers provide them.
Ryan -
Hmm... 2-3 hour battery life is the estimate on xoticpc. That seems rather low for Optimus. Do you think that they haven't changed it yet?
-
BAM its been spit.. *looks at my sig*
-
XOTIC PC:
Custom Laptops, Gaming Notebooks, Custom Gaming Laptops | XOTIC PC
Under the Sager NP9130 it says:
Battery Life:
2-3 Hours Hour
^just a small typo to fix. -
Mythlogic has it listed as "up to 5 hours" on both the P150EM and P170EM.
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
Thanks for the info, it will be fixed shortly

So my question is what is the true difference between the 151em and the 150em. I know the 151 doesn't come with the illuminated keyboard and comes with a lower output dc adapter, is that it? Where does this extra 250 bucks worth of stuff come in to play?
-
- Different Finish (Not Rubberized just plastic)
- No backlit keyboard
- Smaller AC Adapter
Thats the differences, and I only have it as around $120'ish in price difference Apples to Apples. At least for us. -
Anyone else disappointed not to see the 660m offered? According to the latest owners manual the card should be supported so maybe we'll see it offered later?
I was also hoping to see IB but oh well. Does anyone know when that NDA will be lifted? -
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
End of the month... Sorry per Intel
-
Hopefully by the end of the month.
-
Will you be stacking NBR, Pre-order, and military?
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
Unfortunately we are not able to discuss discounts on NBR, feel free to PM me or any or our several sales reps and we would be happy to help
-
Is the date NDA again??

Just a $100 upgrade from 670m to 675m, sweet
Btw Malibal's website is updating as well! -
if we order today, when will laptops aprox ship??
-
now the question is....wait for ivy or just get it with sandy? Also I did the pre-order for the extra $50 off, so could I hold on to that until ivybridge??
Thanks -
As everyone has to crunch through their pre-orders, I would say 10-14days'ish if you order today, if you already ordered, maybe a bit sooner. For the models that are shipping today.
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
Many of the models are shipping right away in normal production times. Production is already prepared and geared up to release orders right away.
NP9150 & NP9170: shipping schedule ETA 4/9/2012
NP9130: shipping schedule ETA 4/20/2012
NP3260: shipping schedule ETA 4/9/2012
NP2240 & NP2252: shipping schedule ETA 4/13/2012
NP6110, NP6165, & NP6175: shipping schedule will be provided on the week of 4/22/2012 -
Yeah sorry, i meant new GPUs plus new clevo/sager, i dont see 660m around.
-
OK, here's a question for you all. How much is it worth waiting for Ivy Bridge if I wanted this laptop to last for around 4 years or so? I'm guessing that I should probably wait, but it seems like IB brings more power efficiency than actual processing power increases (and a slight clock increase).
Thoughts?
Also, the i7-3720QM seems like it's going to be an expensive upgrade -.- -
It's pretty much all updated now. And yes, the NVIDIA pricing is nice.
-
Yeah I just gotta figure to order now or wait for IVB and the 660 to be released. The 675 is more powerful but also uses more power correct? With Optimus wouldn't it really not matter as much since when using the card you are likely to be plugged in?
-
I'm buying from XoticPC.
I preordered my laptop, the NP8131 at the time, now the NP9130.
Does my account need to be a certain age to qualify for he $30 dollars off for being a NBR member? I've been following this thread and others for quite a while as I decided what computer to buy, but never found the need to post.
Do I qualify for the $30 off?
I really hope so.
For those interested, I chose to get the 95% Glossy screen, upgrade to the i7-2670, get the 4x2gb sticks, the 750gb hybrid drive, the gtx 670m, no branding, The hdd caddy, and the 6300 ultimate-N.
Can't wait! -
Hey Malibal,
Stupid question...On your site it doesn't say that the GTX 675 can use Optimus but I assume that it does, correct? -
You need postcount of 5 to qualify for the discount.
http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/649335-nbr-member-question.html#post8355354 -
just bought the p170em, thanks Malibal, are the estimated ship dates accurate? or will you begin shipping tomorrow, since you had no pre-order option???
-
Im wondering about the NBR discount myself, I sure hope I can get it If I can I can get the upgraded GPU
!
Up question answered, thanks! -
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
You can get either the $50 deferred shipping discount, or the $30 NOTEBOOKREVIEW Active Member Discount, but you can't get both. -
Larry@LPC-Digital Company Representative
Yes the 675M AND the 670M have Optimus Technology.
_ -
Will there be 120Hz/3D screens available on any models?
-
The P170EM and P270WM will both have 3D options, the P270WM probably first, then the P170EM
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
Yes, but it won't be for a while. Check out the Owner's Lounge for the models that interest you!
