That video was from last year.

Ooooh, duh. My bad!

Speculation no longer needed, accurate pricing availalbe now
-
Nice
, waiting for IVB and GCN still
Any BallPark idea?
NP8151 = P150EM?
Edit: Um, nvm, specs are saying HM65 Chipset, so you only have the chassis? -
-
Support.3@XOTIC PC Company Representative
No dates for IB or GCN still.
Yes pricing will stay the same for now, if you pre order you'll get that price even if specs change. -
But why would we pre-order if it's still the same SB and Fermi/ etc lol on an HM65 Huron River
-
Support.3@XOTIC PC Company Representative
What we can post is posted, some things are under NDA still, but again if you pre order you'll get that price even if specs change.
-
I mean, I'm waiting for GCN/Kepler + i7 3820QM, how will you know to add that to my board if I've finalized my pre-order with Sandy Bridge + Fermi. -
.
Are you going to update the pictures so we can get some nice pictures of the P150EM? I'd like to see the unbranded machine if at all possible. -
April 14 is actually earlier than I was expecting, I'm just hoping a decent GTX 580m competitor is shipped off to sellers by that time

I'm also confused to what you meant about the price staying the same even if the specs change.
I'm just about ready to pull the trigger but would like clarification. -
I would pre-order, but I want to be 100% sure I will be getting these, or I won't drop a penny on old arch. -
It's a price guarantee. Even if the official pricing comes out as higher than they have it listed, they will not charge you the difference.
Also, the machines will be sold with Sandy Bridge and Fermi until Ivy Bridge, Kepler, and GCN are made available.
If you don't want SB and Fermi, don't order. -
-

Also notice these are pre orders with current ETA's of 4-12 so they will not be shipping for a while
-
Not a bad deal I suppose. I'd imagine when they do announce the new stuff, the prices will go up a bit. -
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
As listed the pricing reflects a $50 discount now. -
The price wont change if you pre order. They want pre orders, it's money in their pockets before they have a product to sell.. (see post below regarding this statement)
The prices aren't expected to change much. The prices are down a bit from where they were when the 150hm was released becasue it's old tech. When the new stuff comes out officially, The 150EM will probably be closer to 1500, versus the 1300 of it's pre order price. I believe 1500 is where the 150hm was priced when it was released last year. By taking a pre order, it's not like they're losing money. They'll just earn a little less of a profit then they will later on to secure money ahead of time. That way they can order more stock.
Hutsaday has been sure to mention that you'll get the same price even if the specs change. This is just my speculation, you can take it or leave it.
Edit: seems Justin confirmed my thinking -

oh, my bad. I'll fix that in my post. Thank you for clarifying!

no worries, leave it as it is if you'd like, it actually can help answer what people might be wondering anyway
-
well ok then, I'll put it back
-
Just wanted to put this out there in case it hasn't been mentioned yet. If link doesn't work then it's cause I'm on my iPod.
http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1878798 0____O maybe? Maybe not? -
It also says the p151 can get the 660M or the 670M. Also, that the 675M is the highest end option.. i assume they just can't mention the 680M or any AMD options.. -
any word on nVidia 3d vision and 3d panels? will they be available is it supported etc?
-
-
I read somehwere that the prices for the 600 series when they start pumping out are gonna be complete steals. Like really nice and amd will have a hard time because of the prices.
-
well no surprise really, since nvidia is not really expected to perform well with their "rebadged" 500M series cards compared to AMD´s GCN architecture, which could very well end up mopping the floor with a desktop 560Ti
cheers -
Well, no I thought the lower numbers (635, 640, 645) were gonna be rehashes but the newer higher number are still gonna be cheap. I just hope that the option for radeon is available at launch cause I personally like AMD better than nVidia, but that's just me... So...
-
I wonder if there will be a GT 655m or not...
There has been GT 335m, 445m and 555m as the "mid-range" GPU between GT and GTX parts. I hope it exists for a low budget but acceptable performance.
But Nvidia please! Give us GDDR5 on the GT parts, not DDR3!!! It' 2012 already +_+.
And I really hope that p150em can have the GTX 660m (Kepler please!) as an option, if It only starts with 670m or 675m (rebranded Fermi) then really no sense...
And plus, why can't any mid-range Clevo machines be offered with a mid-range AMD GPU? On the last generation I think the 6770m has much value than the GT 555m (cheaper, GDDR5 memory and runs cooler?). -
I want the AMD so bad, because there GPUs are so much cheaper and run better, and they almost never rebadge as well...
-
-
What? What did I say?
-
something funny
-
:/ whatever I'm not a fan of nVidia, but I'll buy their GPUs, because a GPU is a GPU, and I at this point just want a better laptop than the piece of garbage my parents got me like 3 years ago that they spent $300 thinking that asking the reps at best buy for a gaming laptop would turn out...
-
-
In the case of a 6990m vs a 580m as an example, you'd be a fool to go with the 580m, $200 more for 5% performance? How is that even remotely worth the gain? AMD has better performance for watt/dollar. Nvidia has raw performance at the expense of everything else. AMD is 95% of the time the better deal. If switchable graphics aren't offered on the Clevo for AMD then this would be part of that 5% of the time.
-
So if I preorder with a 2670QM and GTX 560M, what does that mean I'd actually get when the orders are processed?
-
Support.3@XOTIC PC Company Representative
-
When I mean a GPU is a GPU, I mean that I don't care which brand (nVidia or Radeon) but I have a strong preference for Radeon over nVidia.
-
The i7-2670QM and GTX 560M should not be looked at as false placeholders. They are literally what is currently available for preorder, until that changes. -
In that case, I'll wait till IB and GTX 600 series to order. Not sure if I'll wait for a Kepler GPU though.

Definitive Retail Launch Date for Ivy Bridge Core Processors Surfaces | techPowerUp
If you read the older article too, it says that we won't be seeing notebook IVB platforms till June... why would Clevo release an ETA for the new models if no new platform is even remotely close to launch by that time?
edit: looking at this http://www.cpu-world.com/news_2012/2012022301_Launch_schedule_of_Ivy_Bridge_processors.html
We might be seeing the 3xx0qm mobile processors by ETA. . . if Clevo doesn't care about overstock Sandy Bridge
-
Because Clevo is probably going to sell them with Sandy Bridge processors, until Ivy Bridge is ready.

What model, where did you find the screenshot :O details!
