But how can I stand using my netbook for three more weeks (plus building and shipping time) when I know this exists! :D

Any idea if the W110ER will hold the 660M when that is released? That could be a big tipping point for me :)

even if it could lol.... which it may since they somehow seem to be able to put a 45w quad core in it.. they still wouldnt, putting a 660m in a another laptop would take away buyers from their PXXXEM lines

    guess what i found =D Sager NP6110 / Clevo W110ER - XOTIC PC - Sager 11.6" Laptop

unfortunately.... still no ivy bridge... guess im waiting till summer, but i say... great starting price 800$, guess i was too use to alienware ripping you off lol (since i have an m14x), i thought it be closer to 1000$ or more, hopefully when the quad cores come in, it wont be much more expensive.... I LOVE IT ALREADY

other stuff i found afterwards.... dont know if its true or not but for the screen on the w110er, seems to me that they are using something with an sku of X1R001.......... after googling that, seems like they are using the same monitor for the asus zenbook ux21, and lol searching the reviews on the screen for that notebook i got this

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Asus-Zenbook-UX21E-Ultrabook.65506.0.html

brightness is good, which is probably the only good thing about it lol, but you think the screen for the w110er would be alike or atleast similiar than the one in the asus zenbook???

Definitely not.. the pictures that were made of the W110er with the screen on already show its a standard low quality TN panel just like in the m11x or in cheap Netbooks

Unfortunately, this kill the W110ER for me, very small screen estate and a cheap TN panel.. You get what you pay for it seems

well i didnt say anything about the screen being good, just that it might be the same as the asus zenbook, and if it were true, anyone who would want to maybe preview the screen could read the review on the screen of the asus laptop.

for me though, yes the screen pales in comparison with my m14x, but i already have another monitor that i use for in house gaming, whenever im with my friends or during class, this thing will be ALOT more portable and has better battery life

thats why for me, i definetely do a trade in, though i want to wait for ivy bridge to come out.

there is only one higher quality screen in the 11'' and thats the one that mba uses. For 13'' there are a lot more screens that can deliver great resolutions, contrast, color accuracy, brightness... THE example is the one used in the vaio Z, even if they used the vaio SA screen, it would be better than that screen.

Gosh too bad about the W110ER. They can put a 650M in a 12inch frame under 4 lbs but then the next step is a 15.6 inch laptop weighting more than 6 lbs with the same internals...

When will the perfect 14 inch frame laptop under 5 lbs with decent graphics and nice 1080p or 900p screen arrive...? The Samsung series 7 was pretty close but it had a crappy screen.

Looking at myth they seem to have the 2gb gddr3 vs the 1gb gddr5 at xotic. They are both the 650m. Does anyone know if this is a typo or are we really getting stuck with this kind of confusion in the w110er?

Its a typo on their part... Its 2GB of DDR3 memory in the 650m on the W110ER. Its 1GB of GDDR5 on the W150/W170ER

It doesn't seem to be the only typo. They are also offering a optical drive option on the w110er. As far as I recall there is no optical bay on it. I think the config page on the w110er is just a copy over of the 150's on Xotic.

When I match up the options Xotic is ~60 lower then Myth(IC paste, color cal, 3 year accident warrenty, OS, HD) but I don't trust it as the page has the optical drive listings on Xotic.

Not only is the camera quality bad, but you can't tell what the lighting conditions are, and it seems like there is still a plastic film over the screen.

Considering the thick bezels, they could of used LG P220/P225 12.5" IPS screens. Too bad.

why not ... it's not that hard. simply a P330 from LG with an okay screen, 13 to 14 inch - no glare- no need for bluray. Resolution around 1440x900+. Gf 650 DDR5+

Problem is - all these specs are possible in smaller form factors, but they miss out on something. Why not increase the sizs a bit to insert decent cooling and make lots of people happy.
I don't understand why none of the manufacturers is able to see the big chance they are missing.

Does anyone know the dimensions and weight of the W150ER? It seems like every website has a different value, and the the Chinese who benchmarked it and tore it apart didn't feel compelled to measure it.

not to knock XoticPC (especially since I've used them and love the service recieved) but I wouldnt trust there numbers just yet... they seem to have quite a few typos/misinformation already on there order pages... give em a few days and they will be straightened out no doubt

Guys, the W110ER has an ODD? I noticed that on Xotic's page for options to put a caddy.

It sounds too good to be true as that would open another HDD option.

Anyone know what are the final dimensions of the w150xx/NP6165? The specs on XoticPC seem to have some errors so until it get corrected its not so reliable. The specs on the site displays the height (thickness) from just over .5 inches to ~1.6 inches and the weight @6.17lbs.

Steroscopic 3D BluRay, 1GB DDR5...LOL...no offense, but what did Sager do all these weeks while waiting for the Clevos to become available...? ;)

No space for a BluRay in there:

I think the "stereoscopic blu-ray" part meant that the GPU is capable of decoding 3d blu-rays and outputting it to a monitor.

It's always been upgradeable to Ivy Bridge.

The newest chipset is backwards compatible with SB and IB, and the new models all use the new chipsets.

It shouldn't be too difficult, but the price will be a lot higher than buying an Ivy Bridge model from the start. Stand alone CPU's tend to be fairly pricey when compared to upgrades at the time of purchase.

The NDA is rumored to be expiring then, which would let the resellers list them for order but it does not mean that the cpu will be in hand for them to put in systems and ship.

NDA stands for Non-Disclosure Act, which basically means a company gives out specific details about there products to specific people (resellers in this case) with the stipulation that they can not share that information until after the NDA is lifted.

As for pricing, both XoticPC and Mythlogic corp. Have these systems listed for roughly a grand
