Possible, but it looks more like an optical illusion due to the angle in which the photo was taken. It looks like 2 17" new chassis models and the corner of 1 older chassis model in the pciture. Without a direct face forward shot it is difficult to tell.

Good stuff, however I do hope that is the SE and the base model is a little less flashy. I can't imagine using this at work.

W230ST looks remarkably like the W110ER. Although no backlit keyboard :(

Maybe it will be an option.

wow, I'm late. To the people replying to me about buying now and waiting till november, the reason I'm waiting till september is because by then I'd have enough money XD. I needed a replacement since last year, and I could have done with a replacement since 2011. Once I got enough I'll get the replacement, unless within like 10 days or something an upgrade will come out. Or I'll just fall into the cycle of always waiting for the next best thing D=

As for Clevo's new "flashier" design, a lot of potential customers have been turned away by how bland they look normally. I don't mind something a bit more sleek, but it shouldn't look like an alienware. I loved the look of mine, everyone thought it was one of those old, out of date monsters that barely works. Thus nobody ever wanted to steal it ;)

    Same for me.

I can never have enough fun when smoking the desktop workstations of clients using my P150. :D So...much...fun......

The difference is mostly due to software though. But P150's "sleeper" look definitely adds to the fun.

Sleeper is referred to in this case as something that does not look like it will have much worth or merit. I.E. a sleeper hit video game is a game nobody notices/buys that turns out to be really good. So a sleeper laptop looks pretty bland/unimpressive (like mine) but then I pull up MW2 on max settings (back in 2010 mind) or I'll be playing metro 2033 on medium-high and people are all *le supreme gaspething gasp* and I'm like *trollface smile*

I'm quite sure he knew what it means and why he mentioned it and liked it...

And I agree with others, one of the primary reasons I got a Clevo was because it's a notebook I can use in any situation, like work, at home, on the go and gaming while not looking like a . I hope Clevo's 15" model will continue that trend as MSI, Asus and Alienware high end offerings are totally inappropriate for work.

Having seen the flashier P375SM, I'm now curious to see the flashier P17xxSM and P15xxSM models with the single GPU offering. I wonder if the chassis will be as thick for those models as well? I'm not expecting it to be under 1.25" at its highest, but the P375SM looks like it is clear 2" easy.

    I perform a >_> to you sir.

Anyway let's just hope there are both flashy and business designs I suppose. Not much more we can ask for, though the flashier P375WM isn't really something that I'd never carry to the office place. Especially if I was in an IT field. But it's all relative I guess.

If you work at Blizzard Entertainment, a flashy thing is due in order to fit right in.
    Or a cat.
    Both would do.

the chassis dimensions should most likely be exactly the same as the HM and EM series before that, just with updated internals and port connections.

I would like if there was a way to turn off the back lights, as that may keep me up at night (my desk is near to my bed).

And by back lights I don't mean the keyboard.

    My personal scenario:
    *Mom comes into my room*
    - Can I come in?
*Me, turning on the car blinkers, keyboard goes red*
    - No.
    - Why?
    - Because its code red, mom!!

    thats just horrific !

the logo looks awful. the knight rider lights under the screen look like a cheap 80's boom box but not in a cool retro way

I assume when other people use the chassis they will be able to remove these features? or are you stuck with them if its on the chassis?

makes an alienware look classy :D

I don't think it looks THAT bad. It's not bling bling city like Alienware, it's just in the middle of being office-like and show-off-ish, which is throwing everyone for a loop D=.

They just realised that no one bought a 7970m crossfire for work....so they gave for the p370 successor a more "game-ish" look.Don't forget that above all every reviewer criticise clevo for their sober/calm look.

dont get me wrong i have 0 against sager or clevo. its just i like the solid understated looks of the Sager. If Asus did the Rog in 680m or sli id plump for that but the sager is similar in looks.

thats why i hope they dont only just have that new look and we can get a different looking p370em otherwise they just lost a sale from me (and probably a lot of others). Again its nothing personal, its just if i roll up with one of those next to peoples ultrabooks or sleek books it wont go down well, at least alienware is comically massive and obviously bling where as the sager looks like your grandad trying to be hip

The lights make that an extremely ugly notebook. One of the ugliest ever, as far as gaming oriented machines go.

And what's with the touchpad? Where are the buttons?

Actually the main criticism is sub-par components like audio chip, speakers, keyboard, etc.
The issue of looks is just conceptual.

Yes, in terms of looks there will be more IDs to pick from. There will also be a slight boost in graphic performance and by that I refer to the tier and not the generation.

Unfortunately, basically every model except for P375SM are confidential so I cannot share our extensive "mobile phone camera" library of all models displayed at CEBIT :) However, based on what I have seen this will be a good year for Clevo.

According to the original source, that is correct. The current chassis will be the default model with the updated Intel/nVidia chips, and the one being showcased is the optional flashy design.

Looks like pages have been added for the 780M and 770M on NoteBookCheck. The only score they have is for the 780M which has a 3DMark Vantage of 29,458. The 780M is place above a 680MX and below a 680SLI and the 770M is just shy of the 680M and AMD 7970. Hopefully these will make it into the next gen clevos :).
