Sure. Link: http://www.picshare.ru/view/8242785/
In my case - two groups. "[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0...14310]" and "[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0]"
I already added one line per one group which contain "my" 1C60. In my case - two lines + description at the bottom.
As I can see, there are exists a differences between sections. For example, 381.89 contains 12 lines with 1C60 in the first group, which have connections with section 122/120/126/128/130/132. What kind of section do I need to choose?![]()
I tried some of them.
Not yet.
"Remember to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) everytime even when you upgrade.
And then you go Intel first and then nVidia driver second."
Yeah, I know it.
Thank you!

-
Sorry for repeating the same old, just need to make sure.
Regarding he section numbers, you can add any of those that exists already, lets say the first section has 122 and 126 then you can just pick either of them it does not mater as long as it just has one new line in each section.
And I se that GPU-Z wont show vBIOS, this is really strange. Could you try to flash the BIOS I provided or use one of MSI's bioses? -
I saw many messages with error 43 on the web.
So, I think that it's a vBIOS issue.
I didn't try to use vBIOS from MSI because I didn't find it for my card...
Who have the same configuration of system? (MS-1WOU1 ver 1.0 + P150EM/P170EM)
Can you share with vBIOS? -
Hi,
If you have UEFI + Secure boot enabled in bios try to disable it.
I've installed v384.76 in Win10 without any problem after modifying the INF files, my P150EM with Prema mod v2 has UEFI boot disabled in bios (OS setting to "Other" instead of "Windows 8"). -
Zix
Hi
I've disabled UEFI, OS setting -> Other.
I've deleted previous drivers via DDU, and installed 384.76.
It doesn't help. The same error 43.
I have Intel HD 4000 driver 12.07.2016, v10.18.10.4491. What kind of version are you using?
Can you share with your vBIOS? -
Try the following strings for the INF:
------------------------
NVDMI:
%NVIDIA_DEV.1C60.5105.1558% = Section338, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C60&SUBSYS_51051558
NVIDIA_DEV.1C60.5105.1558 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060"
-----------------------
NV_DISPI:
%NVIDIA_DEV.1C60.5105.1558% = Section090, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C60&SUBSYS_51051558
NVIDIA_DEV.1C60.5105.1558 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060"
----------------------
The drivers were recognized without the need to update the intel driver, but you can try with the latest one from intel.
-
Zix
I tried to add the strings to NVDMI (first time) and to NV_DISPI (second time)
Unfortunately, no results. The same error 43.
I think that vBIOS can be corrupted. Because, it's not a new card. Can you share with your BIOS? -
Do you have a p170em or a p150em? If it's a p170em you need another section, and a slightly diff device number.
I also used to have error 43 with windows 10, had to revert to windows 7, where the inf mod is simpler. Gave Win10 another chance this week, and finally learned to correctly mod the inf file and managed to install the card with no problems (i did a direct upgrade from 7 to 10, no formatting). -
P150EM
-
You could try formatting to win 7, and if it works, upgrade to 10 and try again I guess :O
-
I thought Clevos only used NVCVI, not NVDMI.
-
Yes, for Clevo - nvcvi.inf
I decided to edit other files just for sure.
Another ideas about fixing the problem? Except reinstall OS to windows 7. -
You need to edit both files and run the installer (nvdmi and nv_dispi), if it doesn't work try with win7 before altering your vbios.
Do you have the stock clevo/sager bios or Prema mod installed? -
I tried to do it. Unfortunately, the same error 43
Prema -
Try with Win7 if you can, you can make a backup of the current OS in order to restore it quickly.
I don't know if you can resolve this problem by changing the vbios, you probably need a flash programmer too if I remember correctly.
Have you tried checking what vbios version is currently installed with NVflash? (since you can't install the drivers try with a DOS boot disk) -
Sure. I have a "86.06.1F.00.05". Build date 07/26/16, Modification date 07/31/16.
Also, I made a backup of my vBIOS. -
Seems like the vbios is correct then. Must either be some driver issues or some BIOS options you need to play with.
-
What do you mean?
-
Stuff like turning UEFI, secure boot etc. off I can't tell you exacly what to turn off, since I don't know what settings are actually making the graphics card go beserk. So far I only know of secure boot as being the most problematic, but I've heard of settings that would cause issues as well, even heard of a case where the onboard sound would stop an upgraded graphics card work in an MSI notebook.
-
Danishblunt
I've disabled UEFI, secure boot. OS setting was changed to "other". I wrote about it on the previous page. -
Right, so those settings shouldn't be a problem then.
You don't happen to have any friends that could test the card in their setup do you?
I assume you also tried different driver versions right? -
I don't have an opportunity to check my card via friends.
-
You have the latest vbios for MSI GT72VR notebooks, I don't know if this could be the problem tough.
You can find 86.06.19.00.08 at this LINK, but you should try with Win7 first, flashing another vbios could brick your card. -
Zix
I compared my vBIOS with https://us.msi.com/Laptop/support/GT72VR-Dominator-6th-Gen-GTX-1060.html#down-firmware
The same version. But I found the mismatch at offset 0x00028792
It's strange. -
Try to compare them under dos.
-
You bought it used, so it could be someone did mess up the vbios, but I still wouldn't just randomly flash different vBios on it.
I somehow doubt it's software related, considering that you did indeed try a lot of different drivers and turned off the most common issues in BIOS.
Maybe @Prema can help you here, since he's our vBios/Bios god
-
I didn't find a new version of NVFLASH for DOS.
I tried 5.141 and received "Load error:No DPMI Memory" in DOS.
I sent a message about my problem 1 month ago... No answer.
It was slightly different, but no response (
Anyway, thank you guys for your attempts to help me.
P.S. I just realized that I'm using UEFI boot, because, I installed my OS via UEFI&GPT...
When I disabled UEFI, I found out that I hadn't gotten a possibility to boot OS.Last edited: Aug 27, 2017 -
Mhh that could be your problem then...
I think if you reinstall your OS in legacy/MBR mode the drivers with modified INF will work.
I had error 43 with my 680m after enabling UEFI boot in Win10, in order to resolve I had to flash the latest vbios with UEFI support.Last edited: Aug 27, 2017 -
Hello everybody!
Today, I tried to install Windows 7 x86 and x64. I've installed the latest nvidia drivers for Windows 7 x86 and I saw error 43. I've tried to use 384,76 for Windows 7 x64 and I also received error 43. Of course, UEFI was disabled in both cases. -
How did you mod the driver (nvcvi)?
In win 7 I changed all instancces of 11A0 where the device ID was 71021558 into 1C60. (in p150em the device id will be diff). The last part in the bottom I changed Geforce GTx680m into 1060. -
Hello,
I've added some strings at the first part of the file:
"%NVIDIA_DEV.1C60.5105.1558% = Section?, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C60&SUBSYS_51051558".
The number of sections depends on the version of a driver. I tried to write sections "from" 680mx and 1060 (1C60 and 1C20). Usually, it looks like:
"%NVIDIA_DEV.1C60.5105.1558% = Section124, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C60&SUBSYS_51051558".
Also, one string at the end part:
NVIDIA_DEV.1C60.5105.1558 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060" -
UPD: I tried to change records from 11A0.5105.1558 to 1C60.5105.1558 yesterday. Also, I've installed all updates for Windows 7 x64. No results
Guys, who can give me a vbios from msi 1060 WITHOUT Gsync? -
I can't help but feel that the card might be broken. It really shouldn't be this impossible to install it.
-
If it still not working and you correctly modified the drivers I think the card is faulty or the current vbios is incompatible.
Don't try to cross flash non gsync bios, you are probably going to brick your card. As a last resort you can try the one at page 13 but I don't know if it's going to work. -
Win 7 uses no sections.
-
I've tried. It didn't help.
Who has a Clevo P150EM(P170EM) with 1060? -
Then the card is probably faulty, I have insalled a 1060 G-Sync in my P150EM using the modified strings I wrote on page 11 without any problem.
-
-
Sorry I have not had time to reply.
Anyway the vBIOS I use is this:
https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/188974/188974
Its one of the rarer vBIOS out there, you can try to flash that and see if it works.
Although you should open a thread on nVidia forum about Error 43.
Remember to disabled driver signature everytime you install the drivers, I just tried to install a 3D stereoscopic driver for my card and I ended up breaking the driver, need to reinstall it now just from that little thing. -
Yes, Prema v2.
-
Can you share with it?
I tried to flash Racer v2 (Eurocom). But system freezes with 1060 when I'm trying to boot up.
I didn't find an archive of Prema BIOS v2 on my HDD. So, I don't have an opportunity to use (to try) my 1060.
Right now, I'm using my Radeon 7970M.
No problem.
I tried to flash " 188974". It didn't solve my problem. -
I tought you already had Pm2 installed from your reply some pages ago.
What is your current Bios/EC version then?
I would like to help you but I deleted the installer back in 2013...
Hopefully, Prema will open a new website soon. -
-
V3b? I have never seen this version.
Is that prema/Eurocom v3 bios for gtx9xx compatibility?
Maybe this special bios/ec is causing problems with your 1060?
I don't know if it's possible to rollback to a previous version without brick tough...Last edited: Sep 7, 2017 -
Yep.
I flashed Racer after Prema v2. It was just to try it out.
With Prema v2, I saw only error 43. -
Try with the following INFs, I'm currently using them on my P150EM. (w10 AU 64bit, prema v2)
Remember to disable driver signature enforcement before install, replace both INF and run nvidia setup.
If the notebook freeze after install, the bios is probably not compatible.
Another error 43 could be a faulty card.
I'll let you know if I find another vbios.

Hi guys, does anyone got pictures of modded cooling system in P150 for msi GTX1060?
-
Sure, you just need to cut a small part of the heatsink or use a 1mm copper shim.

Hi guys, I am desperately looking for a prema bios for the old p151em i bought for my girlfriend so we can play together, can anyone here supply me with the bios files or tell me where i can download these files?
I have already seen that the actual download page is marked private and I cannot get in
I don't really want to pay anything more than what i already paid for a 5year old notebook that might die in the near future anyway....
nevertheless i think it's great that prema did this hard work and helped so many people, I also think his work should be rewarded, but I have read that some time ago people could just download these things for free, thats another reaso why I am not willing to pay now, just seems unfair to me
maybe I am asking for too much, but I dont think that there is much money left to be made with bios files for a 5 year old machine.
so please, can someone send me these files?
