I've heard that Realtek had developed a dll that provided native ASIO support. Anyone know more about the current status of that?

It seems that i can't use mono microphone with your drivers, since I only got the option for 2 channel in the default format. When i plug it, i sound atrocious and i think that is the culprit.

Well i'm by no means competent, but its logical that there would be problem when using a single channel (mono) mic with drivers forcing 2 channels (stereo). I'm not sure though if realtek designed it that way or its just this driver released by j95.

Hi @ j95,
1) I successfully installed your Realtek UAD 8619 mod on my Clevo P650RS-G but I don't understand why the installer must put at desktop in order to get it install properly.
2) My laptop has ESS SABRE HiFi, at the time of writing if I install Realtek HD Audio Driver 8642_FF00 Generic or 8642_FF10 with Creative instead of Realtek HD Audio Driver provided by Clevo, does it means it will never use ESS SABRE HiFi?
3) Look like I missing 1 item. Will it affects anything?

2) Yes, it will use ESS SABRE DAC.
3) Nope, it's fine. "edevmon.sys" is ESET's filter driver.

Because I have to use Dolby Digital Live and DTS interactive for re-mixing the 5.1 channels and output the signals via SPDIF(optical), I must stick to HDA drivers.
I wonder if there is any music/sound quality difference between 6.0.1.8581 and 6.0.1.8454? I still remember that j95 highly recommended version 6.0.1.8454 due to its sound quality.j95 likes this. -
Hello @j95 ,
I'd once tried out your Clevo modded audio drivers and it worked fine. Recently, I re-installed my Windows and downloaded the latest version of your mod (Realtek UAD 8562) and followed ALL the necessary steps and installed everything. However, the Realtek Audio Console says "Can not connect to RPC service". Sound Blaster Connect seems to work just fine, and audio is fine as well. Its just the Audio Console that's causing me problem.
I will mention that the Audio Console worked earlier and showed the equalizer and everything. But only once, it hasn't worked ever since I tried updating to your newer driver posts. Only once did everything work. Ever since I've been using whatever driver Windows installs which did work fine until my Windows re-install and I figured I'd give this another go but I need the EQ and some more settings that your mod provides.
I'd be very grateful for your insight on this. (My specs are in my signature)j95 likes this. -

- Uninstall Realtek High Definition Audio Driver from Programs & Features (Control Panel)
- Uninstall SBC and RAC UWP apps from the Start Menu list
- Deleted UWP.Service and Realtek audio service using Autoruns64 (admin)
- Rebooted to Safe Mode, ran DDU, chose Audio and Realtek (WIP) and Clean and Restart
- After reboot, Shift+Restart, chose Disable Driver Signature Enforcement
- After reboot, disable AV and ran your setup from desktop as Admin
- Proceeded as normal and chose 4x Install Driver Software Anyway, I'll reboot later, SBC and RAC installed.
- Final reboot.
Dunno what is wrong but I think that's all the necessary steps.
Also one more thing of note, in the Realtek driver whenever I click on the Sound icon in the taskbar it only shows "Speakers" even though I have headphones plugged in. Whenever I used the Windows audio driver it distinctly showed two options- Speakers and Headphones that I could switch between. And if I plug or unplug my headphones the volume changed to what I set for either of them (20% for headphones and 70% for the speakers). The Realtek drivers don't have this feature or is it something that doesn't come with it?
P.S. Can I have the 8454 setup since everyone is praising it? Here's hoping it does install successfully. -

Hello @j95 . Sorry to message directly but I didn't know what else to do. I have trying to install audio drivers in many different ways but none has worked so far. Something else I tried did work and so I am listing both below and requesting some advise.
What didn't work : Please see http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...lounge-phoenix-5.826848/page-47#post-10929948
What partially worked but not from prema site :
- Removed all realtek audio stuff ( left realtek card reader driver that I got from HID, installed.
- Removed sound blaster and other creative products
- Then followed the comments on this page : Realtek Audio Console can't connect to RPC service :
Uninstall everything about realtek audio, so far what have u done. Go to https://github.com/pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic/releases , download the zip > extract and run setup.cmd, follow the cmd instruction and restart ur PC. Now download and install the realtek uwp audio console app from store (It automatically got installed and enabled). I prefer this release bcoz it makes things so simple to install and uninstall.
-------
This also allowed me to install the Realtek audio which I came up and was usable. However the creative sound blaster, even though installed, wasn't doing anything on changing the settings.
Another issue with the second install ( 'what worked install') is that the 4th jack (counting from nearest to screen down) is set to headphone and when headphone is inserted, it works fine. However when headphone is unplugged, I have to manually switch playback devices to 'speakers' to get audio from the speakers. Apart from these two issues, the headphone sound etc is goodLast edited: Jul 7, 2019 -

Sound Blaster Connect 720° UWP app updated to version 2.2.10.0 from MS store in June 2019j95 likes this. -
Clevo Mod Installation:
Run DDU (latest version) to uninstall previous version. Select “Audio” -> Realtek -> uninstall without rebooting, and then set “Creative” option, finally reboot.
You must disable both driver signing and any anti-virus software before installing driver mods.
Copy Realtek…exe to the desktop and then right click “run as administrator”
When prompted (4x) select “Install driver software anyway”
Exit realtek Installer without rebooting to complete RTK Audio console and SBC installation.
After rebooting, disable and re-enable “Jack detection when device is plugged in” (Realtek Audio Console advanced settings).

I also retried the steps as j95 mentions above for his drivers and matched his instructions. My finding is that the latest driver mod goes through the initial install without errors ( even though all the last three newest ones just before this one gives the same memory error I listed above) but it does not show the realtek audio installer OR the sound blaster installer at all. I am thinking of making a small video showing the steps I did and paste the link here so @j95 can see what is going on and advise accordingly.
Also, please note that I am using the windows version 10 pro is the one that I got from UltraMale's modded windows.

Installed this driver after upgrading to 1903 from 1809. Everything works, but the Creative Audio Effects Component is showing driver version 2.0.0.14. Latest version on the clevo website is 2.0.0.36. I was previously using 2.0.0.33. What am I doing wrong?

Does this modded driver work with P650HS-G?
-
Now back to my issue. I had some free time and tried installing the p80tm-r drivers posted on the premamod's site again including the additional instructions from @j95 but it still doesn't work. I followed my steps listed here with one or two additional steps. My first step was to boot in safe mode, disable driver signature using the bcedit command (mentioned in my link in the previous line), rather than the reboot into advanced settings method.
After this I logged into safe mode to used latest ddu to unistall both realtek and soundblaster but I noticed something peculiar. After removing the software with ddu, the sound icon had a cross to it (as expected) but within 15 - 20 seconds the cross would go away and the speaker again became functional AUTOMATICALLY. Note, that I had the internet disabled all the while after logging into safe mode but the sneaky windows was automatically installing drivers ! I will post a video with this happening in a bit. I found that I had to go to the group policy editor and disable a setting mentioned here. I just followed what the video person does exactly as he did. After doing this I rebooted again and this time windows wasn't reinstalling audio drivers after ddu removal !
So I thought I had solved the problem and then I booted into windows 10 regular and then tried installing the realtek. It DID complete the first part with the prompt : When prompted (4x) select “Install driver software anyway” (UAD) . After this I clicked no to restarting and then clicked Finish. After this I did NOT get any prompt and a window of the "cmd" prompt popped up for a brief moment and went away. However after all this I still did not see any installations show up in the sound section. I then went ahead and undid the group policy settings and tried the same method and I got back to square one with a driver installed halfway. I am posting the video of my efforts in a bit . The video should be up in half an hour or so here : please see first part here www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1Dl6PaHUk8 and also the rest of it in this one -> www.youtube.com/watch?v=By5_Il7UkM8( no audio but have listed and shown all steps I tried)Last edited: Aug 23, 2019 -

also j95 needs to do a new Realtek + Creative UAD mod based on this generic 8787.1 UAD driver from github (released near the end of August).
I'm no longer using any Realtek UAD + Nahimic 3 driver mods on my Gigabyte board and have switched to using Realtek UAD + Creative mod on there, based on the 2.0.0.38 Creative component from ASRock's 8750.1 SBC UAD driver [I use the updated 2.0.2.5 CreativeUWPService.exe file but use v2.0.0.14 of the mbapo232.dll & mbapo264.dll files to allow running the SBConnect2 uwp app as SBX720; v2.0.0.38 also contains v6.10.0.17 of the mbfilt32.sys & mbfilt64.sys files that bring back 192Khz support that was removed from the v6.10.0.16 version from the 2.0.0.33 - 2.0.0.36 Creative component releases].Last edited: Oct 10, 2019anytimer likes this. -

Yes that happened to me too, apparently Realtek Audio Console won't even launch somehow...

that won't happen if the 2.0.0.38 creative sbx driver were installed instead of the 2.0.0.36 version (released near end of August 2019 for Clevo P9X0RC_RD_RF_RN series).
Edit 10/10/2019 - j95 really needs to make a newer modded Realtek UAD + Creative 2.0.0.38 driver with older mbapo2 components (to prevent WU from inadvertently updating the creative components)anytimer likes this. -

@j95 I DDU to update to latest drivers, but I only get three warnings to install drivers not "4". After installations. I only get the realtek console, but not SBC. How do I get SBC? I tried the steps again and no go. Now I am getting sound from speakers and headphones and can't seem to get only the headphones to work when plugged in. I am not sure if it is due to SBC not installed. thanks

Ok. I finally go it to stick and works now. My only issue is that I am getting sound coming from my speakers when headphones plugged in. SBC has headphone mode switched off so i am not sure why it is doing that. it was fine before.

Another known issue is that there is no sound from the headphones after the laptop has woken from sleep (lid closed and later opened). No fix yet. AFAIK. -
