Do you think that this notebook will need a notebook cooling pad? I'm taking mine to college with me, if the room is well ventilated I don't think it would need one. Also, do you guys have any recommendations as to which one to get? I figure I will get one because I'll be running games and programs like ProE all the time.

lol I have my laptop coming from UPS, my 4GB (30 BUCKS) memory stick coming from DHL, and a bunch of clothes I ordered coming from FedEx. And there is a very good chance they are all coming today. I tink I might just overload, it's all stuff I've been waiting for and I really want.

Ok... this just popped in my head. What if they all came at once. With the rivalry they have between the three of them, they just start fighting. Not even pushing... like full on ninja stuff, twenty foot high back flips. That would probably make my life.

When I first read that I thought you meant his memory stick would be fighting with his laptop and clothes. Then I realized you meant the FedEx delivery guy fighting with the DHL delivery guy. Lol.

Well if standard delivery practice* applies, UPS will drop your stuff off in the middle of your lawn and drive away. :(

The DHL delivery guy will toss your stuff at the door and incredibly hit the doorbell in the process.

The FedEx guy won't arrive until a few days later.

Haha... well, that would make a good fight too. But the DHL, FedEx and UPS would still be a better fight, haha.

    I got WXGA.

Something's weird though, I didn't get a US plug. It's not 3 pronged but instead it's 2 round ones. Is it suppose to be like this?

That really is disappointing. I think you got European/Asian electrical plugs. As for pictures, everything from the lid of the laptop, to the keyboard, laptop opened, closed, box, accessories, everything and anything.

Wow GlueEater, I have the Canon A630 too! What mode were you shooting in? Its strange that the images are so grainy. Is your ISO adjusted to like 800 or something? My A630 always takes clear and sharp images.

Edit: Nevermind, you just got your laptop and I'm sitting here talking about a camera lol. Have fun with the 2090 for us!

If you're viewing this thread at work or you're just too lazy to download the RAR file, I took some pictures from the RAR file and hosted them on Imageshack. Here are a few, if you want all of them, download the RAR file. Keep in mind these are smaller resolution files, the RAR file has their original resolution. Enjoy. :)

Well I just did a little testing on my camera, the grainy image appears when the ISO is on 800. I would suggest you go into the Manual mode, press the center "Func. Set" Button, then pick ISO 80, and move down to flash output, slide it up to full. And there you have it, bright super clear images, I hope that helps. If it does, could you take another picture of your lappy? If you have a tv tuner, could you take a picture of that side, I'm interested in seeing a high resolution image of the TV tuner connections. I also wouldn't mind a better picture of the sager logo ;)

BTW http://www.bayimg.com/ is the BEST image host ever. You can even upload a zip or a rar up to 100megs and it creates an album for you. You don't even need to sign up!
Edit: Unfortunately the albums feature seems to be having some problems today.

Outside is probably sturdy ABS plastic like most laptops are made of. Inside is anybody's guess, but I'm pretty sure because the laptop's made by Compal, it's of high quality metal to keep the internals secure and stable.

I know this is a bit off topic, but me being a photographer I can pitch in 2 cents real quick....

ISO is sensitivity to light, just like 100, 200, 400, 800 films in camers
The lower the ISO, the less grainy your pictures will be and seem more clear. The higher the ISO, the more grain, but the higher shutter speeds that you can use to prevent camera shake and motion blurs. You can use noise reducing software to reduce the grain effect, like Noise Ninja.

However, when at night, its nice to bump up the ISO just a tad (depending on your pictures of course, this is just general pictures) because when your flash fires, having the higher ISO will also capture more of the obscure background
