According to the device manager i have vers 6.0.6000.16386.

nvidia site doesn't work for me, the forceware thing just says it can't find any drivers and just closes. ANd when I try to update through device manager it says that I already have the latest drivers.

satdog, could you maybe post your index scores?

    I got the 3 year warranty+parts with xoticpc.com

    Do they pay for parts+labor?

Did it come without drivers installed? Or did you install Vista 32 bit yourself? I thought the included CD was supposed to have drivers. I wonder what flippoet did when he installed vista 32 bit himself.

Yes they do. If you get a Sager through xotic by default you get one year labor and parts through Sager, and Xotic throws in 2 more years of just labor. If you upgrade the Sager or get the IFL90 directly from Xotic or powernotebooks for that matter, then you get 3 years for both.

your issue i think is the drivers you have installed. try downloading and installing the vga drivers at the bizcom website. i know it takes ass long to dl but it works for me. NVIDIA's forceware doesn't work with mobile cards most of teh time. would you like me to upload the vga drivers to my website thing?

    URL: http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/TechSupportDriversDownloadPage.htm#FL90

And which one of those do we download when we need vista 32 vga drivers? Does this mean Nvidia does not support mobile GPUs? And does this mean the drivers cd that is included is usless? What is/isn't on the cd? Thats pretty bad if there isn't even video drivers on the CD.

whats on the cd is all of the 64 bit drivers. Nvidia, as far as i know, has never provided updates for mobile cards. its up to the developer to make them, that or you can get modded inf's to be able to use forceware drivers from nvidia, atleast thats how it was for my old dell 8200.

2vn3 and 2vnvi would work. they are both 32 bit drivers and as far as i know identical.

i found this on the compal forums: ftp://ftp.littlebit.ch/Littlebit%20Systems/Notebook/Stingray Z84 (FL90)/Driver

it downloads much faster than bizcom. also i installed them earlier today after a fresh install of windows because i was thinking it might fix my button issue but it didn't. so far its working great. want me to upload it to rapidshare or something?? i downloaded all of the drivers from that site except for bluetooth and tv tuner cuz i don't have that. its also numbered to make it easier to install them

I'm all in a panic now cause it seems like driver support for the 2090 is the worst I've ever seen for any laptop/pc. And I don't know anything about GlueEater's situation. Did it get shipped to his door with no drivers installed and Vista Aero disabled? Or did he install Vista 32 over the default Vista 64 install? Why are there no 32 bit drivers on the CD? I really don't want to go through driver hell when/if I receive my laptop.

i believe he did install 32 bit vista after he received it. if you keep the 64 bit vista everything will be preinstalled and working. i believe there are no 32 bit drivers on the cd because the laptop ships with 64 bit installed.

Yeah if you go to the nvidia site there's no 8M choice for drivers. Thanks i"ll download those. Do they install with a single click or do I have to mod any files? I shipped with 64, I installed the 32 over it.

it installs automatically without modding. you can also get drivers from http://laptopvideo2go.com/ thats what i used to do with my dell since dell stopped supporiting that laptop a long time ago.

lol that sounds kinda nice lol. I've kinda been wondering about the xp and drivers thing. i wonder what drivers are gonna come on your cd...
i'm really beginning to believe that the buttons is not a driver issue. mainly because the other IFL90 users that aren't branded by sager all have their top buttons fully functioning and i just installed the drivers they have(if they are different at all) and it made no difference.

I got the camera to take a little better pictures. My friend has my videocamera at the moment or I'd do a video thing for ya's. Yeah, just setting it on auto wasn't too smart, esspecially for taking pictures that close up. I changed it to the close/flower setting and it seems to work better. I can do the pictures after I get some things sorted out if you want.

So picture sof the screens and what else?

I'm curious how much flex there is to the keyboard, some say it's a little and other say it's like horrendously too much. Can you take a picture of you pressing down on the middle of the keyboard to demonstrate how much flex there is? If you don't want to do that of fear of damaging your laptop, then don't do it.

lol there is some slight flex, it's not enough so that you can see the flex with a picture. Maybe not even with a video. It's somewhere between horrendous and none. There's no sound when you press on it.

Edit: I wish I had asked this earlier, but are there Num/Caps/Scroll lock indicators on the 2090, if so, where are they?

Does my Vista Premium come preinstalled with 64bit? If so, do i have to reformat and reinstall the OS to revert to 32bit? I'm worried that this will hit my framerates quite a bit in games.

I mean, you already lose about 10% performance between XP and Vista. The difference between 64bit and 32bit will only make it worse. :(

As far as I knew they send 64 bit installed with both versions on disc, so you will need to install the 32 bit once you get it.
