As long as it can run Supreme Commander better than my desktop, I'll be happy. Which it will.

I'm having a dilemna. Should I install XP or Vista? I will be playing games, but I've heard that the performance difference in games isn't significant enough to warrant choosing Vista over XP. Is this true? I've installed Vista before on another machine, and really liked it, but I never played games on that machine.

Will my Sager 2090 with 2.2GHZ, 2gb ram and the Nvidia 8600 run games better than my. 2.6 GHZ, 756 ram with atio9800 pro pc?

I imagine it will just because of the ram but I just want to make sure what to expect, lol.

I'm assuming your 2.6GHz processor is a single core, while the Sager NP2090 has the Intel Core2 Duo. The laptop will be a lot better than your desktop, believe me, the jump from single core to multi core is very noticeable, it will make you happy with the non-lag that comes with it.

I'll be using Vista 64bit for everything, and I'm sure it'll be fine for me.

You might see a little bit slower performance with Vista now, but once the drivers mature it will be on par with XP. So for now, it depends what you want. If you find that something critical doesn't have drivers for Vista yet, maybe install XP. But almost all games should run fine in Vista provided you have atleast 2GB.

I plan to write my own personal review of the NP2090 when it arrives, I've been talking about it so much I suppose it couldn't hurt to talk about it more. :)

If I happen to get my camera from my brother, I'll be sure to put lots of pics. :D

As for a cooler, I ordered a Zalman from Newegg. My laptop and my cooler are most likely going to arrive on the same day. :D

As a follow-up to this message, the bags still seem to be available.

The Antec Notebook Cooler is Out of Stock online at this time at Circuit City, though some local stores will have them available. All three of the ones local to me are out of stock so I guess I will just order a Zalman unless anyone knows of a better one for the 2090.

BTW, I just ordered my 2090 from www.xoticpc.com last night and am hoping it comes with the August shipment. I went with the WSXGA screen and no TV tuner.

yeah its a pentium 4, since pc and laptop certianly do get different preformance when it gets to games so I was just making sure my laptop would be better.

I currently run CSS on almost everything high, with no AA though, and dont really lag so CSS should be fun on my laptop, however half life 2 episode one, only get about 1/4 of the way in the game after that I go into a level where the game just lags, I think my pc just cant handle it...

Yeah, if you're getting a bag, then why not just take the battery out and put it in one of the slots. I mean I can see why you want to have a perfect form fitting bag.

I'm going to try to do other things this summer besides just be on the computer all say. Thanks guys for being so friendly and helpful, I hope I was the same for all of you. When they were at their old store it was probably my favorite place. New store has the cattle corral for check out, for a time there they asked for your phone number at the register, tried to sell Sports Illustrated, etc. They also don't seem to have nearly as many deals on music and movies like they used to, Target beats them most of the time. Buying online is nice since I can avoid all of that and just pick up at the customer service desk, but I have switched mostly to Circuit City or online purchases.

I don't hate BB, I just dont like the experience in my town too much.

Edit - Chalk up another reason, last night they were listed in stock here and at the store near my work. Ordered it but this morning get an email that they dont have them, and they are now listed out of stock at both stores.... hmmph

I think it will because the laptop dimensions from xoticpc are
    14" x 10.1" x 1.4~1.5" and the bags dimensions are 14.33" x 11.81" x 1.69" for the notebook compartment.

Ok so that's what, 5 people I know for sure on this forum that have them. Six if I count myself getting one that was the wrong model and broken, and then waiting again hehe.

    Alright then, thanks guys, hehe.

Damn, it might actually be closer to like 16-20 people! Donsell even has a review submitted I believe. Waiting on it.

I got mine yesterday (wsxga+)...very good service from xoticpc for shipping it on time...thanks Justin!!

    First Impressions:
    Excellent packaging. :)
All plastic (bad and good).
I LOVE the screen, wsxga+ matte is great, viewing angles are excellent. :D
Touchpad feels cheap...buttons are loud...but it works OK.
I really miss volume up/down buttons, Fn+F7-F8 is good enough for me. :(
    Keyboard with little flex. :(
Gets a little warm under...by the HDD (7200rpm though).
Delete key is in awkward position...not absolute upper right.
I HATE Vista, I already wanted to keep my XP license for a while so I ordered just 1GB RAM...I can´t believe this OS can make this thing look bad. With 1GB...it feels SLOW and on XP should FLY...reinstalling soon.
    Fingerprint works OK. :)
Don't know if it's Vista's fault but battery only shows charge %...not minutes.
Touchpad driver was not installed so I had to download myself to enable scrolling.
It doesn't feel that heavy (plastic plus)... little better than other 15.4" I've used (Gateway MX7515). :)
Battery life is great...3h+ on normal use (not gaming). :)
    Webcam is excellent. :)
Slick design, I am getting used to it and loving it...but that's me, I'm Thinkpad lover. :)
In general, very good buy, I have to wait until installing XP for gaming so I will post further impressions.

Be patient, you'll enjoy yours when it gets to you

    EDIT: I almost forgot...now I'm officially an OWNER !!
