Mine shipped late in the afternoon on Tuesday and I recieved my e-mail Wednesday morning, so they are pretty closely related in terms of time. Most likely Sager sent them out after Xotic closed for the day and when Xotic got the ship confirmation from Sager they immediately sent my ship confirmation the next morning.

The e-mail comes out one business day after the goods ship, I believe.

Sweet! Mine just shipped, should be here Monday. Took about 3 days from the time I ordered. Guess ordering the T7700 proc was a good idea ;).

This machine is a beast and gorgeous to look at. The full black paint exterior/interior giving a professional business notebook look. I actually brought this laptop to work today and am I glad to work on my laptop instead of desktop. I liked the wsxa+ matte screen a lot the color is crisp and vivid. The screen is in rivial of my friend's gateway notebook glossy screen minus glare. I also played FEAR for a bit this machine runs blazingly fast and graphic is incredible, almost made my jaw dropped that I can play FEAR with such detail on laptop. I'm gonna play around some features and post my finding later.

Just got word re my ability to pick up my NP2090 from the Sager factory in City of Industry on Monday PM. :)
Looking in to issue with poor position of Control key, I am currently trying out a tool from http://www.ksoftboy.net/. It's called Key Transformation. Pricey for what it does however it seems to work well. Curious if anyone has found a better solution. I have changed a couple of other keys as well. For example, the Right Ctrl key I changed to Delete. Now I don't have to reach up from array keys to DELETE SPAM from my inbox!!!!

Just a question, is it normal to have my battery charged full at 100% upon arrival of my laptop? I saw many members here talked about to charge up battery first before use for the first time.

In most cases, it is fully charged but slowly discharges when you receive it. It's no big deal if it's fully charged when you receive it though, no worries.

I got mine today after almost 2 months. The bar with the wow buttons is pretty scratched up. It isn't even a glossy part so it must've taken a beating to get that many scratches. Very disappointing. O well. I'm buying brick & mortar next time.
Also, this thing does not come with an AC adapter???! wtf
Will install Vista 64 bit tonight, hopefully no problems.

There is a protective vinyl piece covering your WOW buttons that needs to be removed. That is what is scratched up...not the bar.

Look in your accessories box for your AC Adapter.

Just to say that I now have my NP2090. It was totally worth the wait!! Donald from PowerPro offered me the option to run down and pick up my unit from the Sager plant in City of Industry, LA. Thanks Donald!!!! :) Have spent that past 4 hours reinstalling all my apps (LAMP, Office 2007, may web dev tools, etc., etc.)

    I ordered it Aug 8th.

    1 Sager NP2090 - $1,704.00
    15.4" WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) LCD w/PCI-e nVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT w/512MB
    Intel® Core™2 Duo T7300 2.0GHz Processor w/4MB L2 On-die cache - 800MHz FSB
    Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
    1GB (1 SODIMM) DDR2/667 Memory
    200GB SATA/150 Hard Drive at 7,200 RPM
Combo Dual Layer DVD +/-R/RW CD-R/RW Drive w/Softwares
    4-in-1 Memory Card Reader (MS/MSPRO/SD/MMC)
    Built-in Intel® PRO/Wireless 4965 802.11a/g/n
    Built-in Bluetooth Wireless
    9-cell Smart Li-ion Battery
    Windows XP Professional
Full Range Auto Switching AC Adapter
Spare Full Range Auto Switching AC Adapter

I purchased separately an additional 2 GB memory.

I have not noticed a single flaw. Runs VERY fast. LOVE the screen with lots of screen real estate.

I purchased Acronis Disk Director and partitioned drive into C:/D:/E:. C for programs, D for MyDocuments (point to that as new location), and E for archive and less changing stuff.

Looking at Key Transformation http://www.softboy.net/key/ to swap Fn and Control key. Is there another solution? Kinda pricy for what it does.

I haven't tried everything yet but so far so good.

I scratched (I thought) the paneled described in the previous post. I was hesitant to try to pull it off cause it seemed like the labeling was printed ON the surface. Let er rip anyway and it revealed a nice shiny panel!!! :)

Nother thing, I ripped out a little bloatware. Comes with trial MS Office, Nero.

I am literally back up to speed again. Thanks PowerProNotebooks.com!!

Just had to take a moment to tell everyone reading this thread how much I enjoy my NP2090. I have used just about everyone brand notebook out there. This is one of THE BEST notebooks I have ever purchased. The high res matte screen is to die for. And yes, it was worth the wait. And no, I am not affiliated with PowerNotebooks.com. :)

I'm really disappointed that no one has posted a review for the 2090 yet. :( I'm on the fence between the G1s and the 2090 and I'm driving myself insane trying to decide which one.

This review should be sufficient to give some ideas about 2090 since its the same machine. IFL90 from PNB comes with better options and a better warranty than Sager.

I just got my NP2090 up and running an hour or so ago and had to come here and make a quick post. I am very impressed by it so far. I will post some more details once I use it a bit more.

First impressions are that is very profressional looking and very powerful. I was worried about whether or not I would like the glossy case top, but I am very impressed.

The WSXGA+ is absolutely stunning at high reslutions. If you are considering a 2090 my personal opinion is that it should be your only choice for a screen.

My WoW Audio/Video, Fingerprint Reader, and Webcam worked right out of the box on Vista 64 bit installed by xotic. I still have to try out all of software and decide whether I can stay or 64 bit or see if I need to install 32 bit for now.

I have some minor issues with it so far and don't expect to run into any more. All of these can be easily resolved and I am very happy with my purchase.

    1. The Fn/Ctrl key placement will take some getting used to for sure. Hopefully I can get used to it because so far I have missed every time. The solution is to either get used to this placement or use a seperate keyboard at home and struggle a bit while on the road.

    2. Even though the placement is the same as my old notebook, I have been hitting Pause break instead of Delete a lot more on the 2090. This has the same solution as the first point.

    3. My biggest issue by far is with the touchpad. I may just need to go change some settings with it or find a way to enable a particular key stroke combination to disable it. So far typing this paragraph my cursor has jumped about 20 times on me when I brushed over it and I starting typing the middle of a previous sentence or paragraph. I am sure I can find a work-around for it.

    4. It definitely generates some heat on the left side that can clearly be felt where my left wrist sites and above the Windows/Left Alt/Z/X keys. I ordered a Zalman early last week that is on backorder and may help some. Right now it is just sitting on the desk. I have not run any intensive applications yet and have only done some light settings changes.

Be sure to peel the piece off above the power strip if you want it to look nice. There is no comparison between the scratchy looking powerbar and the nice high gloss one. I saw a lot of people mention they wanted to leave it on or didn't even know about it, but it really looks much more appropriate without it and I am guessing the heat sensitive buttons are designed to have it removd.

    Thanks for the welcome.
I am looking at the 2090 and I will be primarily running XP.
But I would like to dual boot it with Vista to start experimenting with Vista.
I have read that those that got XP have had few if any issues and it seems that Vista is a little unstable on the 2090 at the moment for some things.

    Comments?

Not at all. I dual-booted XP and Vista 64 on my 2090 with no issues. Both OS ran without a problem. XP turned out to be a little faster in terms of performance in games, but thats about it.

I got my shipping notice from xotic today, and the scheduled arrival date is next Wednesday. Thats 3 weeks and two days from when I ordered, not a bad wait at all. That is actually sooner than I expected, and now I'm so excited :D
