I'm in the same boat as you. WXGA and ordered August 17th. That kind of pisses me off. I talked to them last week (sept 7th) and they said "within a week or two".

    Waiting sucks.

A fire!? That can't be good. Mine should be in the building/shipping stage even though I didn't get an update.

The different screen will cause a significantly different ship date...so you cannot compare order date-ship date when the screens are different

Hmmm I should have ordered the more expensive screen, the reason I didn't do that, was because, at the time, that screen was in short supply.

    lol
At least I know this laptop will be worth it.

i just found out newegg has the IFL90's in stock, and is sold under the iBUYPOWER brand and listed as model CRZ-90. It's 1,400 plus 15.52 shipping but knowing newegg, you'd probably get it within a few day. i don't know how long newegg has been selling it (probably recently), but if i had known this a few months ago, i would have definately bought it there.

i check iBUYPOWER & cyberpowerpc first before buying a sager on www.resellerratings.com and there rating wasn't that good so i made the swtich.
Didn't want to have any problems with my laptop. I can deal with desktops.

just wondering, if you hook up an external monitor to the NP2090, can you run the monitor at a higher resolution than 1200x800 if u have the WXGA?

I'm not sure on that, IIRC I think someone who had WXGA had issues regarding a monitor of greater resolution.

    link for the lazy

...but at $1400, this is a bit expensive isn't it? For less than $50 more, I got a 2.4ghz and WSXGA screen. That said, if you need a laptop fast, I suppose its not too bad of a deal right?

Is 6.28 pounds accurate? I thought it was more like 7?

Also - can someone confirm any issues or not with an external monitor? I need to be able to hook this up to various monitors and resolutions - typically 1920x1200.

It is a bit pricier than a similarly configured IFL-90 at PNB or Xotic would offer, but Newegg does ship very quickly. I suppose it's a solution to those who want IFL-90s soon but don't mind the slightly lower specs for higher prices and the "iBuyPower" brand.

    Hey I can be optimistic can't I?????

But I am betting by the 15th of Oct. The backorder has been dropped to 2-3 weeks, and that is good for me.

This is my first laptop and first computer I have bought on the internet so I am a bit nervous but these boards and the guys from XoticPC made it less stressful. It was a tough call between them and powernotebooks of which to go with, but either way seemed like a good choice.

thanks to Justin and the guys at XoticPC, I look forward to my new laptop when I get it. Might even take off the day from work to wait at the house to get it.

And I never would have heard of Sager if not for you all and probably went with Dell and hated the experience, going off of the Dell forum horror stories I read.

Actually, this is my first laptop purchase to, as well as a actual computer ordered online.

I say "actual computer" because I've bought all the parts from newegg and built computers before. I should say this is the first time I've ordered through another company. So far PNB has been awsome at service, couldn't be more satisfied, I guess I can't help but feel a bit nervous though :)

i didn't realize how much the prices have dropped, though i know they did drop a little bit. I paid $1,200 for my setup back in July (minus the 2GB of extra ram and Vista Ultimate) so I would snatch this one up in a second. but i guess thats price you pay for the ever changing technology.

Another first time buyer, bought mine Sunday, haven't heard back yet from PNB, but I'm very hopeful, and think this will work out very, very well. And it'd be very nice to have it before the end of October, as I know all the rest of you want the same.

It won't help that much as Sager NP2090s are delayed because of production delays at the manufacturer, not the OEM resellers. So, you probably won't be getting your laptop a LOT faster than anyone else. Also, if you live in California, you'll be nailed with sales tax as Sager Notebooks is based out from California as well.

I was going to ask why people aren't just ordering from Sager direct instead of dealing with the reseller's...but I see that some have, and they're not well regarded from what I'm reading above. Personally, I pledge allegiance to the guy that's going to get me the product the fastest at the right price. I can't believe some of the prices some resellers have. Like $2200+ for the same rig I'm paying $1820 for (plus using my company's UPS account to ship = $0 shipping costs :D ).

PNB WXGA people. Can anyone give any kind of semi-accurate estimate on ship date? I've been told 1 to 2 weeks for the last month.

Anyone talk live to PNB recently?

If your order is already placed it should ship this Friday or next Monday. For new orders it will ship within 3-4 days of receipt of your good funds.

This is for WXGA screens only.

How long can WSXGAs expect to wait? The same old 2-3 weeks :( I've been hearing that its been better to order the WSXGA's cause they're more in stock, then the WXGAs, then the WSXGAs...

Handbanana: You may want to contact xotic if that is the case. Perhaps something is delaying your order. Justin reads these boards so you may want to contact him and reference the post about so he has something to compare it to.

As for everyone talking about phases, mine jumped from Pre-order pending item arrival to Phase 5 skipping everything in between and was already shipped when it was updated. I ordered back in July though so maybe it was part of the rush to update all of them after a huge shipment went out.

Congrats on the fast ship. I am glad to hear things are getting better. I will say I am very glad I upgraded to the WSXGA+ screen though and unless you are really in a crunch for time or have no need of the greater resolution I would highly recommend it.

Well the morning started off on kind of a pissed off note w/Sager. There was a $980 hold placed on my account when I was doing my morning bank referencing. It wasn't something that I was expecting, because it was my intention to do a cash transaction with the manufacturer. When I called to ***** about it, I was informed that my laptop had come through production and was ready to ship, which is why they had attempted to charge my account (there was a $1000 daily limit). I'm glad I caught them because I had decided to upgrade to the T7700 after seeing some test results between the T7400, T7500, T7700 and an E6600. Anyway...we got everything all ironed out, and the new configuration should ship soon. Being a service manager myself, I found Brian at Sager excellent to deal with and have no complaints. I'm actually pretty impressed that I placed my order with Sager on 9/12 and they were ready to ship it yesterday. Can't say anything bad about a 6 day (counting the weekend) turn time. :D

    Final config:
15.4" WSXGA+ LCD with Matte Finish
    T7700 / 4MB L2 Cache, 2.40GHz
    XP Professional
    2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz
    160GB 7200rpm SATA 150 Hard Drive
    Internal Bluetooth
    Sager Three Year Limited Warranty
(of course I didn't list the standard components)

Price out the door...I'm going to leave it as I'm happy. :)

I'm not in college and I didn't even purchase the machine for gaming. It's just going to be the replacement for my 9 year old PII 350, running Win 98SE, with 384mb of RAM and a 32mb GeForce DDR grafix card.
I'm hoping to notice a difference with the new machine.

Why didn't u just go with the T7500? From what I've read, there's really no difference in the 0.2 GHZ. But, in the end, you are upgrading from a PII so...

I'm easily influenced by flashy colors. :twitcy: This being the first laptop that " I'll own" (I've had many work issued), it's easier (and cheaper) to spend a few bucks extra now, than to second guess my decision and wish I upgraded later.
My home PC is a PII...my work PC's have been 1.8 - 2.2ghz. This 2090 will trounce my engineering managers DELL that's configured to run Solid Works, for nearly a $1000 less. Ya gotta love gaming machines... :D
