You might be able to get some little kind of discount if you called your reseller. It sometimes works. :D

And if I called you I could save up to 15% on my car insurance, but you don't see me doing that do you? Hehe. :D
(Actually I will do that once I see the first detailed review of the sager and only if it is a good review.)

Their must be something wrong with that pdf or site, I can't seem to open it. I'm surprised I didn't think about reading the user manual until just now.

Edit:Seems like its just a huge file (11.5megs is big for a pdf) and is a very slow site.

Edit #2: I searched the entire user manual and I still don't see an explanation of what on earth "WoW Video and Audio" buttons do or what the "Smart Charging"/"Q-Charging" button does. Does somebody/everybody know something that I don't?

What was I thinking, I totally read that wrong.

Well I'm on the fence about the integrated bluetooth or the TV tuner, the cheaper it gets, the better chance I have at being able to afford the integrated bluetooth or tuner.

On a side note: If I buy the laptop without the TV tuner, would it be possible to buy the tuner later (if I decide I want it later) and install it myself?

You might not be able to get the same tv tuner, I think the one in the laptop is a pci tuner. But you can get an external one, usb or something.

Yes, it is modular and tinker toy easy to install as long as you have at least a learner's permit with a screw driver :D

I'm not going to comment on the quality of the sager tv tuner, but in general anythign with an antenna is goign to get better reception.

Now, maybe technology has progressed far enough that a great quality antenna-less TV tuner is possible in a laptop. But I don't know. Just saying in general.

EDIT: My bad, read Paladin44's post.

    BLAH, sorry about that.

No problem GE...I like them internal because you don't have to carry something else around. Of course if you buy an external one you don't have to buy one again next time you buy a laptop. There are Pros and Cons for going either way. :)

Donald if I buy an external antenna can I use it with the T.V tuner to get over the air signals? also does the tuner work under Vista's media center?

It comes with an antenna for use outside the US. It will work in the US kind of depending on your location...but you can also get an antenna to coaxial adapter if you have a good antenna.

It works with Vista Premium and Ultimate, but not Business.

I know that your company is great, paladin44 but its just so far away, I live all the way over in Maryland :( it would kill me to have to wait for the laptop to be shipped from Nevada on top of waiting for the order to be met. I'll see everyone here having so much fun with their lappy while I'm all by my lonesome on my big hunk of a desktop with wires coming out the wazoo.

mixxster, they are all shipped from the Sager factory in California no matter which reseller you buy it from. For warranty repairs you have to send it back to Sager in California, but they pay 3 day shipping both ways.

If you buy the PowerPro J 10:15 version with the Standard 3 year warranty we pay for Next Business Day shipping both ways, and if you call me I can upgrade your Ground shipping to 2nd Day Air for the original shipment...so it won't really matter that you are all the way over in Maryland :D

It will cost a little bit more, but being in Maryland you may find it is worth it.

It is Sager that gives both CDs when you buy with 64bit Vista installed, so yes all Sager resellers including PowerNotebooks.com will ship with them.

The 2090 is built by Sager, not PowerNotebooks.com. Our version of the Compal IFL90 is the PowerPro J 10:15 and neither Sager nor any other System Builder has any in stock right now. The WXGA versions Sager had are all built and shipped, but there is another thread here that is showing off one of those Sager's. Check it out at http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=134370 with lots of pictures and other feedback.

Yeah, he was like the 2nd person to see that thread. We are both trying to find out from as many people as possible what people who actually own/have handled the machines think of them. What he is asking is what do you think about the PowerPro J 10:15 you have used? Is it absolutely perfect?

What we have handled are pre-production engineering samples...not production models.

Let's wait for the production models to arrive before judgments and reviews are made.

    Patience pays big dividends.

Donald/paladin44 If I buy the TV tuner, is there a coax jack sticking out of the laptop, something like this:
If not, do you have any image of it on a similar laptop you could show me? [IMG]

change your ram to 2gb one stick then you can upgrade in the future to four without losing money.

What do you guys think of this. I might get it and replace with the current one in the laptop, this looks more slick and then the side will look nice.

No but there is an adapter about 4 inches long that has one end that looks like your picture and the other end has a plug that will go into the yellow jack that you see on the right rear of the 5th picture down at http://www.powernotebooks.com/specs/images/j1015/
