Sager has confirmed with Clevo that the M860TU will not support 44W+ processors or the 9800M GTX because of the thermal budget!

the Qosimo isnt out yet i think the release date is like july 14 with the rest of the montivina platforms. We wont have benchmarks just yet. I think it looks ok nothing special the flames are ugly. If it was solid red with no clear plastic and no flames it would be better. 570TU will still be better, mostly likly price wise too. Correct me if im wrong about the benchmarks of the 9800GTX

Ya i see what you mean it dips and rises to much. Wavy design that the best way to discribe it like you said. I dont like that either but i like to see it in person hard to really tell what its like on the picture

Supporting Quad core and the 9800GTX is pretty nice performance wise it could keep up with the 570TU and pass the M860TU by a little. i wouldnt get it though just my opinion.

That's a press release of the new Qosimo lineup, although I have left "branded" laptops awhile ago. I must say the features of the F55 are impressive, I might be tempted to check the benchmarks of it compared to the Clevo. I wonder how the incorporation of the Cell processor from the PS3 would help the performance of the laptop.

From my previous experiences with Toshiba that usually means 1-2 months difference and that’s if they are in a hurry.

You have inspired me to add an avatar...problem is it keeps telling me the image is too large. Any ideas how I can resize the image?

 

Save it do desktop and upload it from there.

 

OR open it in paint and make it smaller......

 

Any photo or image editor will do it for you. If you have Microsoft Office use the Office Picture Manager...it is real easy to use. Just go to Edit>Resize and you can make it virtually any size you want.

I really like the design because its so flashy, but in a good way. Reminds me of a car from too fast too furious.

The lid though.... those flames, are totaly crap. i would redo that in a heartbeat. it ruins the rest.

That is what my experience has been as well...at least 1-2 months longer than they predict, and then they are in such short supply it is difficult to get one.

BUT, what really astonishes me is how thick it is: 2.46" at the rear tapering down to a slender 1.7" at the front. I would really like to see the thermal solution inside that beast.

Hmmm, now how is anyone going to get the 9800M GTX in a 15.4" model and keep it cool???

its based on the G92 core.. and is running at higher speeds.. lots of people said it would be a die shrink to 55nm to keep its temp the same as the 8800m GTX so i guess now its just a rebrand/change of clocks.. like all the rest of the 9 series mobile ?

wouldn't they rename it if it was shrunk under the current 65 nm process? like other cores.
this info along with the size of the Toshiba X305 impacts this assumption.

Intel PR said that Montevina would be scheduled to release then as long as there were no more delays.

 

so anyone got theirs yet? I seem to remember there where some optimists here thinking a distributor or two would ship before Intel would allow them to..

 

Mine should start building today or tomorrow and then I'll have an ETA which will most likely be before the 14th.
