can this be done on an alienware m15x? Doesn't seem to want to work keep getting errors (PLL etc)
-
It can be done on any pc/laptop which has a clock generator supported by setfsb. If you know/can find out the pll id of your clockgen, then you can use it
-
has anybody found the clock generators for the M860TU? Need them please..
-
RTM876-660 bro.
That's what I used on my p9500 processor and got it up to 2.7 GHZ -
sweett - thanks bro
-
Did anyone get higher than 200mhz with Setfsb overclock on MT860U,'cause with mine 2,8Ghz processor a could reach 3Ghz(and my i-net connection dissapears
)! is that a limit? Can it increase my fps in games more if I could go higher? i'm not sure of using BIOS flash of my video card, it's too risky for a Newbie)
-
Did the development of this program stop?
Any idea how can I OC a P8400 in a M570TU? (PM45 chipset) -
The developer has said he won't develop for the PM45 chipset. There is a post about it a few pages back. He says it can't overclock, but we all know it will.

On another note? Has anyone ever ventured to open up a 9262 and find the PLL? I find it curious it has seemed so "impossible" to overclock a laptop that has been on the market fairly unchanged for over 2 yeas as far as motherboard architecture goes. Is there a Service Manual available? Heck, I have two 9262s and am willing to rip one open to find out the "sacred" mystery of its clock generator for the sake of all of us... this cannot be so hard... -
there is a service manual: here
knock yourself out -
Tis a shame this doesn't get support anymore.
can no one else pick it up? I would if I knew what to do -
ICS9LPR363 is the proper clock generator for the M860TU according to the service manual...This doesn't seem to exist in SetFSB.
Are we going to get support for this clock generator? -
The maker of setFSB says it cannot overclock and will not support it. I call bull on that since we all know the PM45 chipset can be overclocked using that RTM-660 PLL.
-
How about a T8300 in a Gateway P-6860FX?
-
sucks for us. I believe it was Audigy that tried it. If you really want to go after it the PLL is ICS9LPR363ELGF
-
Ok. I have an XPS M1530 with an X9000 CPU.
I downloaded and installed the SetFSB program 2.1.69.0
When I choose the ICS9LPR363DGLF as the clock generator just like instructed, and press the Get FSB button, I get an error saying PLL Byte Error.
Also I couldnt find the SetFSB Auto Tool for my X9000 CPU file in the list.
Please help overclock this X9000 beast.
Thanks.

SetFSB is related to Clock Generator in Motherboard, not CPU.
-
Well, let me put it this way I have a Dell XPS M1530 laptop with X9000 CPU and I want to overclock it to 3.2 - 3.4 GHz.
I don't know anything about overclocking and need somebody to show me how.
That's all. -
Run through each of the PLLs until you find one that works. If it doesn't work, you can't OC...
-
can you not overclock the multiplier in the bios?
that is generally the point in the extreme series cpu's -
He's got it OC'd to 3.2 in the BIOS, but wants to go higher. Props to him for 3.2 not being enough!
-
Hi all I am new in notebook world
.I have a couple of question.
I have try SetFSB with tha clockgenerator ICS9LPR363DGLF and this work good for my G50V-A2.But all core with Prime 95 are at 65 or 66 degree it normale at 2850MHz ?.
I would like to know what software I can find for edit the bios and if possible edit the Turbo Extreme mode for 3GHz and the Turbo for 2.8GHz.I see with CPUZ the voltage is at 1.338 and would drop it.
Sorry for my bad english thx for help in advance.
Edit: that is not good for the T9400 ?
-
where does he say that? according to his post he wants to OC it to around 3.2 to 3.4 GHZ, suggesting it isn't that high already...
-
1)I would know how to Change te voltage
2)I would that setting but for a T9400 not T9300
Page 15 of this topic first post of Audigy (I cannot put the link because I don't have 15 post)
And finaly if it possible Edit the turbo extreme and turbo mode of my G50v-A2 for have that setting withtout Setfsb. -
Is there another way to find out the PLL of my XPS M1530 laptop? -
-
I have finaly find how to drop the voltage, but I have a big probleme, RM CPU utility dosen't let me chose all coeff 6.5 7.5 8.5 and the most important 9.5.
I can do 9*300MHz FSB but this donate to me 2.7GHz ...Someone know how to rules that ? -
RMClock does not recognise half-multipliers....
-
****
.This is the only software I have find for drop the voltage but I cannot overclocke because my 9.5 multipliers is not supported.Do you know anothers one ?
-
You can try out CrystalCPUID.
Or NHC (XP/Vista 32) -
I will try CrystalCPUID, but at the first picture, this utility dosen't like simple ....I have vista 64bit ,I don't know NHC, you tell is only for 32 bit OS ?
I am in the Intel Enhanced Speedstep I choice what I want and when I click on Creat shortcut on desktop this do one but nothing have changed ...
Edit: finaly after I have double click on the shortcut my notebook freeze ... need help lol -
In CCPUID > Functions > Speedstep control > You can edit the multiplier and voltage here.
NHC (Notebook H/W Control) won't work in Vista 64. -
.
But my cpu have a FSB of 1066MHz and all setting for 3GHz crahs on prime 95.I need a FSB of 1263MHz for that, I think I will change it for a T9500. -
Does anyone know when this will be avaible for P9500 cpu ?
-
I have a gateway FX with the T7500 but I dont know how to OC the laptop help plz!
-
^^^ Just read a little but if this thread... ITs not your cpu that matters, its your chipset.
Andy, I've messed around a bit with CCPUID and twenty hard locks later, I'm to the conclusion it does not work with the PM45 and X9100. Using the multipliers. Setting any of the multipliers causes the system to lock.
SetFSB also will not overclock a PM45 with the X9100 in it. Locks up the second the fsb changes. I once say an Intel program that overclocked Extreme Edition CPUs, but can't find it again. Think it was called the intel extreme tuning utility. -
well...it works some kind of way, because hooper just hit 15,600 in 3dmark06.
not sure which one he is using though.... -
hooper is using an ocz whitebook, so different chipset. I don't know if he's fsb oc'ing or just multiplier in the bios, but I'm pretty sure setfsb supports this machine.
-
isn't his a pm45 chipset? and he is doing more than multiplier.
-
Anyone have any ideas on how to overclock the T9400 yet?
-
Again, its not the proccy that matters. Its your chipset. If you have downloaded setFSB and gone through every single PLL, and it still doesn't work, then there is no support for your chipset. If you are running PM45, the setFSB designer has specified that there will be no support.
-
Hi, when support intel X7900 for my XPS m1730?? thank yuo
-
Ciao M4tte anche tu qui eh??
have you already tried all the clock generators of SetFSB? -
The XPS 1730`s regular CPUs cannot be OCed ...yet.
-
Audigy ever gonna support this again or release updates?
support for new procs? -
M1530 support with a T7500... anyone?
-
Will SetFSB work with the new Sager NP5797?
-
Is there any way to overclock the fsb but leave the ram untampered with, because I'm stuck with an a-synchronous
PM45 (1066Mhz fsb) and 1333Mhz Ram.
I don't know, some people say they have used a random pll and gotten to overclock their M870TUs, but is there any way to leave the ram 'out of the running?
Or would I be better off just downclocking the ram? <------ how do I do this? -
FSB overclocks, so does the RAM.
The DRAM:FSB ratio is basically a memory multiplier.
Your FSB goes up to 333MHz, the memory I/O Clock will also be OCed to 666MHz.
The DDR3-1333 should be fine with a FSB overclock of upto 333MHz. See if you are able to play around with the memory timings in Memset.
>>> SetFSB Auto Tool v1.0 <<< - OC your CPU automatically -
