I was told my order would take a little longer than usual because I ordered the matte screen. I assume that's why I'm still on phase 1 ("pending parts or item arrival"). Just an FYI for those of you who ordered a display upgrade.

Unless of course MSI has exclusive deal with Nvidia to use only their gpu -

Look, this isn't about rules and regulations and whether or not Malibal has a right to post. It's about taking a company at their word. If they say that they're leaving NBR and not gong to be active (after going on tirades that included personal attacks towards NBR members), then why continue to post and remain active? Why all the fake drama in the first place? Why not just create a forum for their business and continue to be a part of NBR?
I had the same issue with Malibal when I was looking for a company to purchase my laptop from. Upon release of the P150EM, they had 4 or so active promotions. I asked a rep how long they were good for, and I received a response indicating that they would be good for at least a week. The next day, half of the promotions were removed from their website. When I inquired about the change, thier rep informed me that they were removed and that's it. When I then brought up the previous conversation, I was extended the defunct promotions, but only if I ordered immediately. They were not true to their word regarding the promotions being good for a week.
This mirrors their actions on NBR. If you're going to say something, follow through with it and own that decision. If you're not going to do something, don't say that you are. It's that simple. As a consumer, I want to have faith in the company I'm purchasing from, and I want them to uphold their word. The fact that Malibal hasn't done that is very telling to me. It's not about legislation, rules or regulations. It's about good business practices, honesty and transparency.
I'm pretty sure I have the right to express my opinion. Also, I'm pretty sure I didn't "freak out" about anything. But please, continue with the hyperbole. -
On topic, I'm putting my order in with Mythlogic for a P170EM with the 7970 within the next 24 hours hopefully. Just getting some of the final details squared away with them. I love those guys so far. Very quick to reply, always seem to care. I sent some questions and one of them made a mistake when he replied and it didn't get to me. When I asked again, he said he was "terribly sorry" and resent the original e-mail. I think it's easily forgiven of anybody right now if it takes longer than usual to reply because they're all so busy and I could tell he still felt bad for not getting the information to me as quickly as he had wanted. I'm actually eager to give them my money. -
Congrats on your upcoming order. Mythlogic has been very communicative and a pleasure to deal with regarding my build. You can tell they're very genuine and sincere in their communication. I'm really hoping that they get their 7970m's in by the end of the week! I plan on driving up there and picking up my laptop as soon as it's ready. -
Well, one thing is for sure, threads like these are certainly going to mean less (now occasional) support from MALIBAL for users on this forum. I don't see any benefit to anyone here if MALIBAL "keeps their word" even if taken in that context (to mean they will never post here). So really what are you guys achieving here other than being a parasitic drain on the community and on the ability to gather information for everyone using Clevo's?
Edit: This is a matter of principle, people on this forum work hard overall to be constructive and productive. I'm not associated with Malibal and they're not really my buddies. -

Just a heads up to you guys some of the first 7970's shipped yesterday, there will be more shipping this week and ALLOT more next week.
As they complete testing they are being shipped. Keep in mind we update tracking #'s the morning following shipment so some of you may still be getting tracking #'s for yesterdays shipments.

I blame Malibal for all this. If they just shut their mouth and delete with the issues privately, they wouldn't have ran from the forum only to create their own forum in the end.
No one cares if they were the 1st to ship or w/e. Malibal has pissed off a lot of people on this forum and they deserve any review/criticism/rant that they get. Instead of communicating like professionals they decided to be children.
I for one am glad I decided not to go with a company that has children for employees.
They ultimately can choose to ignore the bad rep or try to make amends. -

These are end users tracking for our customers. 5-10 business days is a estimate due to the fact that a thousand + machines cant all be built, tested and shipped all at once. They are built in groups and tested. Once testing completes they are shipped. If there is a problem in testing, it is addressed and then retested.

They got back to me saying that the 675m's and 7970m's will be arriving at the same time, maybe tomorrow or the next day. Now, the question is, if I switch, do I get to keep my spot in the GPU line? Trying to decide if I should pull $100 out of nowhere for that when I probably have more important things to spend non-existent money on... -

Totally understand, we had a delay on the 675m's as they were in a pretty bad shortage, and totally understand the frustration of the lack of "laptop in your hand" trust me you are at the top of the list to get yours =)
7970m's are coming at the end of this week we will be getting our first batch to be building laptops. We'll be very busy don't worry. -

Wow, I can't believe some are already shipping out from xotic! I will be so. freakin. ecstatic. if mine ships this week. I've been having quite the rough week for various reasons, and this news already brightens me up, even if mine doesn't go out for a while yet ^_^

I recently spoke to Hutsady from Xotic, and he confirmed with me that if you received the following email, then you are receiving a 7970 out of the first batch. Personally, I ordered on April 30th and mine still says "Phase one", but Hutsady informed me that it's just because of the sheer amount of orders being processed right now. Anyways, rest assured that if you received the email, you will be within the first shipment.

We ask that you please allow 24-72 Hours for processing, and you will be contacted by a member of the Xotic PC processing team. After processing production times are estimated at 4-9 business days.
