It has 2GB DDR5...the rest looks pretty accurate![]()

So, it should be running at 768 cores 192-bit 2GB GDDR5.
To think again, I guess 768 cores 192-bit memory at 601/2800(700x4)MHz is quite possible to reach 4200 points in 3DMark 11, coz of the new Boost 2.0(may go above default boost clock).
A stock GTX 670MX with 600MHz 960 cores, 192-bit, scored around 38xx on 3DMark11.
An OCed GTX 670MX to a 735MHz(stock 600MHz) cores, 2300MHz(stock 1400MHz) Memory, scored around 47xx.
So, let say a GTX 765M runs on 735MHz or around there, then it probably could reach 41xx-42xx points.
I mean, this is 3DMark11 where it runs on low resolution. Thus the slow 192-bit 2GB GDDR5 won't affect that much. -
So the 765m should perform 10% better than a 670mx? Seems too good to be true.
-
Hopefully it is as highly OCable as the GTX 670MX.
People been OCing the Clock to 1000MHz and the Memory to 1300MHz.
A 1300MHz 192-bit is equally to 1950MHz 128-bit.
I think I might go for it.
Now have to find a buyer for my Vaio S. -
Hi,
any news on the possibility of a high resolution IPS screen? Thx. -
Stock NO IPS, that is reserved to 15" Clevo models. -
I wouldn't worry to much about the quality (or even panel type) of the screen. Clevo typically provides an excellent screen that can reproduce color extremely well and provide deep color contrast right out of the box. The stock (non upgraded) LG glossy display in my W350 was surprisingly high quality. It has deeper blacks and reproduces color a bit better than my external Asus monitor that has an IPS display.
I have compared the two side by side with the same images and the LG TN display has a superior image. The Asus does have a higher refresh rate (72 Hz) and it is 3D, but I still can't calibrate it to the standard of Clevo's LG display. So if they follow this trend then I will be happy regardless of the panel type. I wouldn't mind a higher refresh rate but I typically hook up to my external monitor to game anyways. -
Thank you both for the feedback.
I confess I haven't had a Clevo before and up to now I had bad experiences with TN displays as I also work privately with photos. That Clevo typically provides an excellent screen is good to know. This could be really the notebook I have been waiting for. -
well, just oc that refresh rate then
for nvidia, u can easily do it inside the driver panel, whereas amd cards can be persuaded to comply via the CRU tool (google is ur friend
) switchable graphics aint working tho....yet, at least.

That would require persuading the intel chip.
-
So the difference between 765m and 770m is a faster GDDR5 then? Either way 600MHz Core / 700MHz GDDR5 192-bit in a 13" is simply *AWESOME*...
Can't wait.
FHD screen. I hope it's matte. /drool/
And how about keyboard backlighting? -
765m has less shaders.
-
Is it confirmed to have a soldered dgpu or a mxm slot? Or not confirmed at all? Cheers

The other machines have shown a soldered chip.

Basically a GTX 765M is an underclock GTX 650 Ti Boost.
A GTX 770M is an underclock GTX 660.
OC them both like hell, and you'll get the picture on how it performs.
Edit : It CAN perform. -
Oh btw, what is the spec of the power adapter?
Haswell Quad core - 47W
GTX 765M - 55W
Hard disk, LCD, etc - ?W
Will 120W be enough? -
120w should be more than enough. Even the p151em does fine with a 120w adapter.
-
Very nice on the 192 bit memory, glad I was wrong
Separately, how's about battery capacity? From the mockups the laptop didn't seem to be practically made of batteries like the W110ER but I doubt Clevo would under-spec it. 80Wh roughly? With Haswell's power savings and hopefully optimus improvements would 5 hours be reasonable? And how's about the GPU on battery, can that still be fully powered up if necessary? -
-
Will the Haswell run cooler than ivy bridge despise its 47W ?

It's doing some of the VRM work that needed to be done anyway but the thermal management should be better.
-
Strange no one speaks about the W23 feature that many of us missed on the W11...
-
please do tell prema

What's that? 1080p screen? backlit keyboard?

Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
it can make noodles?
-
Errr... ODD?
-
mSATA slot?
-
Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
I dont know my main want on the w110 was a 13'' screen, just that and decent battery life
-
Well backlit keyboard and mSATA slot were both desires. But also manual switchable graphics? Fully customizable BIOS?

or this
im so going to bake something after this, brazilian specialty brigadeiro cake -

thats the whole idea of life isnt it? to enjoy it?
screwed up the recipe a little its a bit dry, will soak it in guarana to make it wet -
I opened a fortune cookie and out came this...

I'll be in my bunk. -
Seriously though, this is interesting, as far as I know the only clevos with illuminated keyboards are the P150EMs and up, but they all use the same keyboard which is too wide for a 13.3" so this has gotta be something new. Wonder what the speakers will sound like too... -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
13 inch machines tend not to have the best sound in the world for obvious reasons.
-
-
Did the rest of the fortune cookie happen to mention an official release date ?....
-
It was only a portion of a fortune cookie that ripped off and secretly slipped into my spaghetti. Sorry that's all I got. But it's one more piece of the equation.
Now all I want to know is SATA/mSATA ports, LCD alternate options (IPS, matte/glossy, etc) dimensions and weight. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
IPS would require a second port or different cable.
-
This little thing has ridiculous specs. Let's hope the price is not so.
-
If i were to guess i would say it will start at around $999 for the base model maybe even less . I do not think there is really anything to fancy about it to warrant much more. '
It sounds awesome though and cant wait to hear more. -
I'm just hoping that the AC adapter is smaller, more thin and light than the 120W behemoth with the W110ER.
W230ST - The 13" We've been waiting for!?
