Yes, for me the weight difference is also significant. Small would be good but isn't necessary for me. Therefore I am looking also forward to reviews of the Gigabyte P35K (2.16kg (w/6-cell battery), 2.26kg (w/ODD and 6-cell battery), 385(W) x 270(D) x 21(H) mm, 15", 1080p (IPS), 765m, 75.81Wh). I need a test of all the competitors side by side ;-)

Man. I'm so excited for this laptop. Only gripe about this is that they should have changed the interfaces at the left and right side. It should be the other way around.

Since most users will use their mouse on the right, LAN, Charger, VGA, HDMI and USB 3.0 connectors are better on the left side. The sole USB 2.0 should be on the right, since it's where most mice and external numpad will be placed.

Just saying. Otherwise this, along with a touchscreen (I know, but still :p), would have been the perfect laptop for me.

Unless Clevo manages to release a 13" laptop with touch and an i7-4850hq that can have 10 hours of battery life :D

I'm in the same boat as a108. I'm more interested in low weight than size.
I started a small list of relatively portable gaming capable laptops:
    Light Gaming Laptops
(Thanks HTWingNut for the info on the small ones :) )

You are more than welcome to comment regarding models that you wish for me to add or details which need fixing.

I'm more concerned with size than weight, just flip side of the coin here. I've carried my P370EM to uni, all 5.6kg of it and the weight is comfortable (made my bag creak worryingly though), it's just that it totally filled the bag and is really hard to buy a proper one for. Kind of the same with this W550EU, tricky to contain but only because 15.6" is big. Heck I'd go for a W110ER if it had a decent display, and maybe more of a GPU to match.

When can we expect pre-orders and pricing or is that information under NDA?

Yeah exact dates are still under NDA but as soon as it is put up on our site I'm sure there will be plenty posts here on NBR letting everyone know.

Agree with the port placements, they should be swapped. Also wish they had included a display port, then it would have been my perfect laptop.

Once the NDA lifts or they are leaked through some other means. I'm sure all of our sites will be updated shortly after that lift and announced on NBR as well.

Never thought I'd say this about a Clevo but...

That's actually a really beautiful looking machine. :D

Can't wait to get one of these. Hopefully the 765m proves to be overclockable to a good degree. Also I hope cooling isn't an issue, although typically Clevos don't have too many problems in that area.

Now if we could just get some pricing...

Quick question to the resellers here.

What are your policies on international shipping and support?

Also would it be possible to get a different keyboard layout (Portuguese)?

We aren't able to discuss any pricing here on the forums but for any Sager reseller it'll actually be required to ship back to the US to have the warranty repairs take place. Often times it's entirely possible to resolve any issues without shipping the entire machine back, as in shipping the components themselves that are in question, but ultimately if it needs sent in it's going back to California.

For the keyboard, Sager is capable of bring limited languages of keyboards in for the install but we don't have details on which languages for this version specifically until the machine is available.

Looking back at price estimates, I'm noticing that a 1080p W230ST will cost the same, if not more, than a P151SM1?

    A stock P151SM1: ~$1199 (without cash discount)

If a stock W230ST costs $1099, the 1080p upgrade will surely push it over the price of the P151SM1. Since the P151SM1 has a better GPU and an extra hard drive bay, this makes the P151SM1 a much better value. We would be paying a premium for the form factor, which would be in contrast to the cheap W110ER last year.

If a stock W230ST costs $999, the 1080p upgrade will probably put the price more in line with the P151SM1, but when it comes to pure specs, the P151SM1 will still likely be a better value.

Just thinking out loud here... trying to decide between the two right now

Form factor plays the biggest role in cost. Smaller with high end components means more expensive. Look at the Razer Blade. It has the same components as many 14" or 15" laptops that cost half as much. It's all about personal preference and how much form factor is worth to you. Do you want a 4.4lbs 13" 1.2" thick laptop or a 6.8lbs 1.7" thick laptop that is overall bigger and bulkier.

How does everyone feel about the vent being on the left, and not at the back?

I'm usually a lot happier with rear vents.

I don't know about asus, but I've always seen it on the left, in fact this is the first time I see Gigabyte put them on the back (not even on the bottom).
I think back it's better, on the left it usually ends up heating up whatever gadget you put there haha, it isn't a problem though.

Anyone know if there will be like customs gigabyte? I'm leaning towards it. Do we know if it has a removable battery?

Maybe there will be a refresh next year and move the vent to the back. Then we will have nVidia Maxwell and the 865m will probably exceed 680m performance in a 50W or less TDP. :D

Isn't it a little bit weird to go from 6 to 8 cells? I mean usually what you'd do is add another set of cells in series, so there'd be 6 and 9, that way the output voltage doesn't change. Might be companies have more flexible charging circuits these days, idk. Thoughts?

Bevelled edges. It just looks thicker in the pictures than it is. I'm surprised they even offer a 768p screen though.
