Indeed! Our standard warranty provides full 24 month support which includes parts, labour and all shipping costs under repair/replace conditions in mainland Europe for the .de website. It's the same for the .se, .ch and .co.uk (which also sells outside Europe) and sometimes we are able to reduce the shipping costs for non-European based customers as well for no extra charge.

I am hoping that we might to somehow swap a 1070/1080 into my P770ZM-G in place of the 980m. I know, I am dreaming.

Another question related to your (mysn.de) warranty:

Does repasting the CPU/GPU or mounting SSD's/HDD's by the user void your warranty, and does that hold for the new generation pascal notebooks? This should not be under NDA right? :p

    @sirana

Confirmed, though any issues or damage cause by repasting or similar would of course affect things. Best to ask us first if anyone isn't sure about how to do this or if it's necessary on an individual basis.

Ha, glad to have it confirmed. Not like I am unsure how to repaste, quite the contrary ever since I had my 680M in my x7200 and learned all about repasting, flashing vbios', modifying driver .inf's :).

As my trusty notebook seems to get old, I do plan to buy a new notebook at some point when pascal is released, and strongly consider buying from mysn.de as I sent my x7200 in to you for a repair/upgrade job a few years ago, and even though the x7200 was not originally bought from you the job was carried out perfectly.

Hehe I have my system ordered already, with the caveat of having to wait until the next series of gpu's... They won't tell me when I can have it, but I know it's soon :) it will be an insane upgrade from my Toshiba with the gtx460m

One last question before I stop being annoying:
Does flashing a Prema bios/vbios void the warranty? Given that some resellers offer their notebooks with Prema bios/vbios preflashed it should not, right?

Clevo is one of the manufacturers that will be updating its gaming notebook lineup with the new GPUs. In news, the manufacturer accidentally posted product page of its upcoming Clevo P870DM3-G and Clevo P870DM2-G. Unfortunately, the product page has been taken down, but luckily the specification manual was saved. (via Videocardz)

The choices for graphics card include GTX 1070, GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 with SLI compatibility. Notice how the manual does not refer the graphics card with the “M” post-fix. As we have been hearing for the past weeks, NVIDIA will not be referring the GTX 1000 Mobile series as “M” variants. The simple reason is because the laptop variants are a very close match in performance compared to their desktop counterparts. In fact, GTX 1070 reportedly has more CUDA Cores than its desktop version. This is to mitigate the performance difference due to slower clock speed.

A recent leak about the GTX 1070’s performance put it close to GTX 980 Ti. It is an exciting upgrade for the notebook segment which is now closer to desktops in performance than ever before. Gaming laptops were already not cheap to begin with and with the inclusion of fully enabled chips, we may be looking at even more expensive notebooks. But the good thing here is that due to the performance bump, you don’t need to buy a GTX 1070 just to play games at 1080p. A GTX 1060 equipped notebook will be capable enough to deliver gaming at even 1440p with eas

I would like to buy a new laptop and the question that is killing me is the following :

    shuold i wait for the new 870 dm2 or should i buy a 750dm-G for 1500 euro with i5 6500, gtx970m, 16 gb rarm and 500gb ssd 850 evo ?

and then i thought that if the new clevo 870 dm 2 with the same config except for the gtx 1070 would cost about 3k euros then wouldn't it be better to buy the 750 dm for half the price and wait like 2 o 3 years and spend the other half to buy what the market will offer for 1500 euros in 2 or 3 years ?

I think that if you don't want to play 4k or 3k, a 750 dm with the config I posted will last alt least 2 years at ultra/high FHD.

    What do you think?

That really depends on what you want. Only you can decide what is best for you. If you want something very nice to play games and that is really all you care about, go for the less expensive option. If you want the most powerful option available, then the less expensive option will never be adequate and you'll end up wishing you had spent more for the best product available. The GTX 970M is not all that powerful by today's standards, but it does fine with most games as long as you run 1080p or lower resolution. It will struggle with more than 1080p.

If you don't want spend to much for a new laptop, see if you can get the same model but with 980M. Maybe you can get a equal good deal on old tech with 980m now when the new models have arrived. But it's up to your wallet and what you need.

Generally no, but if you break anything in the process nobody will cover that, so it's at your own risk and you should only do it if you have past experience with that sort of thing.

Thank you for the answer ... but there are 2 things I don't understand and I would really appreaciate if someone might clarify on this

    1. all clevo models available at the moment will not be upgradable to the new pascal video cards, is that right?
    2. the new pascal video cards don't distinguish anymore between the mobile and desktop version (we won't have for instance a gtx 1070M). Will it be the same even for gtx1050 to 1065?

so far we have indiscretions about the 870DM2 and 870DM3 that come with gtx1070 and 1080. But when can we expect the minor models to come out?

A lot of the models are BGA and not upgradable, like your P650 or P670 type models. As for any models with MXM graphics cards (P750, P775, P870), you'll probably have to wait until after launch to find that out.

I don't think there has been any leaked info on any lower end cards yet. Everything is been mostly about higher end cards. Nvidia has done launches like this in the past, where only a couple of higher end cards come out, then they fill in the lower cards later. I believe they did that on both mobile and desktop 900 series cards, for example. So again, we'll have to wait and see what might be coming out.

Since they are pre-release leaks, there is almost always something that is a little bit off. I don't think the places reporting on it are intentionally trying to mis-lead, but specs change, or they might be looking at engineering samples, out of date info... I still wouldn't trust info until after launch and people are confirming specs.

People buying a 21 inch would more than likely be buying it to have stationary most of the time but the ability to move it around if need be. I'd certainly prefer a 21 inch laptop over a desktop and a monitor if I had space constraints.

Strange things but I never saw then again and they even don't have model or brand model.

That back pack I purchase for free with 21 Inch Clevo at 2007.

And they are going only together with that system.

No one modern back pack doesn't feet Alienware 18 or MSI gt80s but this one like a black hole for them ))))

    Everki EKP120 fits MSI GT80.
Wow, never heard Clevo release 21" laptop before... i look at the spec and they used AMD Turion X2 on it? Not Intel?

I can feel you :)) after backpacking my MSI GT80 on several trips, I no longer want big laptops.
A small portable but powerful laptop such as Clevo P650RG is sufficient. I could always connect it to bigger TV screen if I ever need bigger display.

Even Q used a 15.6" Clevo laptop in James Bond movie... :))

it also feature full-size clickable keyboard like GT80. I always thought MSI is the 1st one to make laptop with this kind of keyboard... LOL
since you own both of them, does they share similar dimension (length, width, thickness)?
because i see the Clevo M590KE 20.1" screen is 16:10 and not yet 16:9 like MSI GT80.
