Another night at the track and some tuning. Getting a lot of wheel slippage and the engines running too rich...I know I can clock in faster with a higher trap speed in the 1/4...hmmm...in due time...

Nice scores
But something is definitely odd with your 3Dm11 bench and especially your Physics score. Your 4.7GHz was totally crushed by
@godfafa_kr's lower 4.5GHz overclock(Both P775 and Win Crap X).

Takk. Yea as mentioned it was a goofy run as it glitched during the bench...I'll run it again later.
Yes and Win Crap X. No doubt about that.

Also your other 3Dm11 bench has a goofy Physics score, although this bench is from 4.6GHz overclock. Something is not correct with your overclock settings. Maybe too low voltage on processor
Up it and try again.

When I try to bench the CPU, it gets lower scores with higher frequencies

did u check for any kind of throttling? power/amperage/thermal?
Sent from my Huawei Mate 8 NXT-AL10ajc9988 likes this. -
Everything reports back perfect by HWmonitor and HWinfo.
IT doesn't throttle, the scores just go lower when trying to OC it...
Temp reaches more than 90C though, so this *might* be something to take into account. But no throttling is recorded, speed is 4.2GHz constant if set as such.
Voltage is 1.4V at max, which I'm not 100% sure if it's fine, but I don't want to touch on voltage...Last edited: Oct 12, 2016 -
Are you ramping up the cache multiplier to match the CPU core multipliers?
I noticed when tuning for low power draw, as I reduced the cache multiplier my power usage and temps went down, but so did my CPU scores. Undervolting the cache also had a reduced performance effect.
I ended up keeping the cache on stock, and ramp up the CPU cores, and mostly undervolt the cores - then undervolt a little on the cache - as long as it didn't adversely affect scores.
It's something I needed to play with on every CPU differently, and I haven't tried doing this on the 6700k, but it might be worth it to remove the undervolt and raise the cache multi a bit for a few test runs to see if that improves the score.jaybee83, Papusan, iunlock and 1 other person like this. -

@Georgel 1.4V is enough for around 4.8GHz and all too much for 4.2 GHz, if that's what you run. 1.4V under load or idle? What is load voltage under eg.., Wprime 1024M stress test? And what is your clock speed? 4.2 GHz on all 4 cores?
hmscott, TBoneSan, ajc9988 and 1 other person like this. -
4.0 GHz on all cores.
1.4V on full load
Temps vary to a max of 85C
Voltage is adaptive.hmscott likes this. -
Not trying to play with voltages at all.
Cache was like this after CC was installed.
I don't even try to Oc, just read the numbers...hmscott likes this. -
Way too high. Start using TS for reducing the voltage. High Voltage → Heat → Throttling. And You are sure the voltage not drop more under maximum load? Run Wprime 1024M(8 threads) and follow the voltage with Hwinfo beside. You can also use Cinebench R11.5
I know you're worried about stability and afraid of data loss with use of under voltage. But 1.4V is really overkill

Cinebench is a better test to check for Voltage issues. Wore causes throttles with my voltages rather rarely.
-
That is just the adaptive recorded voltage in cinebench tests
wprime will not run, it crashes unknown or unexpected error.hmscott likes this. -
1.4V with Cinebench R11.5?
Wprime 1024M ... run as administrator(select 8 threads in settings). Remember screen shot in the middle of all test or near the end. And as well monitor max temp

Be sure and read up on each one for features, and also check how often the model you are interested in needs the collected water emptied.
If it recycles the collected water out the hot exhaust or mixes it with the room air - you still need to have the drain plug tube go into a receptacle, drain outside, or empty the internal reservoir when it gets full.
A little known gotcha for portable air conditioners

You can undervolt it if you want. I am sure it can be pushed a lot lower. but if he is already OCing and know 1.4v is a good thermal point, why bother playing with voltage....Georgel likes this.

Problem is the adaptive voltage takes it way over, and causes the clocks to drop.

A better 3DM11 - 18879P with Win Crap X
Damn the Redmond Morons who crippled the physics score in the new pastel colored trash

Dont you think there is something wrong with the clocks>
I got this @ 4.5 Ghz : http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/11419264 -
Processor or Gpu? [email protected] is around 13440-13500P physics with Win X. But your 4.5 GHz pysics score is quite high with this garbage OS. Most people use Win 7 for 3DM11, so it,s difficult to compare.
-
How can you get the GPU up to 4.5Ghz ? DUMDUM.
But yeah, thats why i was wondering why mine is so close to yours with Win10 with that difference. -
I don't know whether there is a difference between latest Windows build (10.0.14393) vs older Windows 10 (10.0.10586). Most likely not. But drivers can make a difference
Also faster ram make a difference in 3DM11

You have the wrong laptop bro
A very nice 4500MHz core clock on Gtx1070 in The new AWbooks can be possible with a slight overclock. Of course if Mr. Azor and Dell want it
The NVIDIA BGA graphics must be a much better graphics than the MMX cards!! Or maybe Dell have created a pretty good tool for dynamic overclocking of the cards? And the i7BGA will be equally as good, HaHaaaaa

That clock seems is impossible
False advertising from Dell?

The ddr4/skylake train can also mean BGA. Make the right choice bro so you don't make us sad
Maybe the new Aw "Echo" machines tempt you?

oh u should know me better by now ^^ cant reveal any details yet, but if all goes well ill be a very happy camper indeed

lol! i think i better send u a pm to clear things up

What does freezing then black screen then restart mean?
No BSOD, no error log, it just happened, like it was normal.
No OC, no playing with values of anything, everything is stock. -

A single Facebook page open browsing anime groups ;_;

But how ?
I just uninstalled clvo center and ran no oc , nothing . Even made sure to reset to default in bios and have everything set to default , which is lower than intended minimum speed allowed .
I really dislike 6700k right now. Can't understand why it hates me ;_;
I also got a complete freeze, again, just browsing Facebook.

You can download http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed
Fire up the software and see if you can read the error log the software create. Run the software after each crash. Then you can search in the web and see if you find a solution on your problem. Also post what you find in the forum(Create a thread for this).
-
I've had this happen to me. If you've installed either XTU and/or CC (XTU malware edition), uninstall them and do a CMOS drain. Something got goofed.
Otherwise brother Paps onto a solution. -
Thank you !
I'll make sure I do that !
How do we cmos drain?
It's impossible to take it out, it's almost soldered .
Also , thank you for your help !
Do you think that this should also solve my mouse jumping around problem ?
If I have neither clvo cc nor xtu nor throttle stop nor anything else, will 6700k perform at its normal power ? (4GHz to 4.2 turbo )TBoneSan likes this. -

It looks completely different in p775, it has plastic noted over it and you can't take it off ...

Ah, c'mon! We want some more details!

It sounds like a lower power state voltage is dropping low. Double check you have set cpu and gpu oc to off.
-
Can you try same benchmark
He can still purchase BGA
